its just a thought which has been pondered upon by a few of us on here
as Lou 33 said if she knew the answer then she wouldn't be on MN

no cybersex is not my cup of tea
prefer real deal
i use msn as a means of communication
as i find that you type what you are thinking
and have had some very interesting/entertaining chats on there
i do text/phone
but dont really want to get to know a man that way
i leave that til later on

OP posts:
aseriouslyblondemoment · 31/01/2009 19:09

from my own experience it has taught me to be more open minded to who i meet
i was very set on a type of man before
and it wasn't a physical type

Real deal sex is the only way. Knowing the person in the flesh is also more meaningful for me.

It's easier to like what a person sounds like in writing, but reality can be something very different.

Anyone snooping on my MSN might be over interested (and on the way to feeling shocked) by the conversations I have on there. It's so easy to hide behind a computer keyboard, where no one can see any sign of a blush.

lou33 · 31/01/2009 19:18

men who post pics of themselves holding fishes.....why?

aseriouslyblondemoment · 31/01/2009 19:20

LOL!
as i say MSN gives me an inkling
and is obviously easier than spending an awkward hour or two chatting to somebody that actually you find that you're really not interested in
and feeling shocked by your MSN conversations N1
mm enlighten us!
we are not an easily shockable lot here
and as you said you can't see the blushes from there!

OP posts:
aseriouslyblondemoment · 31/01/2009 19:21

i think they think we might view them as a kind of hunter/gatherer
and somehow be impressed

OP posts:
aseriouslyblondemoment · 31/01/2009 19:26

but can betcha you'll be the one scaling/gutting/filleting and eventually cooking it
whilst he bores you with tales from the riverbank

When I started dating, I was less concerned about a physical type of body and more interested in the person. The interest in a person has since grown and developed, the physical look of the person has streamlined to much narrower margins. Sometimes I do wonder if I have moved into being a bit to picky.

The MSN conversations I have, sometimes involve someone in a court case. Some people have rather upsetting pasts. If there is a hidden skeleton, I tend to find it.

N1 · 31/01/2009 19:32

I don't do fishing. I used to when I was younger but the cleaning of fish seems more hassle than it's worth. The local Tesco or ASDA have clean and ready to cook fish. It's far less hassle to get a fish already clean and spend the time trying to catch a fish exploring a Forrest, swimming in a pool, climbing a mountain or walking round an adventure place.

N1 · 31/01/2009 19:33

all the exploring should be with company, I like sharing my memorable times.

lou33 · 31/01/2009 19:36

fishing is ear and eye bleedingly dull imo

N1 · 31/01/2009 19:45

Down south (not where I live though) they have a play center (for children) but any child who looks under the age of 5 is advised to have an adult. My son isn't under the age of 5 anymore, so I often try to get any friend who I know to take their child to the play zone, so I can observe the child all the way down the slides, in and out the tunnels and through the maizes. I think I need another child.

elmoandella · 31/01/2009 19:49

i'm put off by poor spelling. no excuse when it's something your posting for all to see. should check that!!

and shortened versions of word annoy me.

the word is "with" not "wif"

diver man has pic of him with fish. but thats a bit obvious. just wish he would post one without a frigging wet suit on.

and damn. i missed the banker. i had msn on computer in background as appears offline as clearing up and putting kids to bed. he was online for 2 hr and soon a i sit down to change to online i realise he must have left when i was upstairs!! damn. will just have to talk to mnetters. lol

lou33 · 31/01/2009 19:55

topless posing

text speak/ bad spelling ( i.e gawjus)

being called babe or hun

fisherman shots

shots sitting in front of their big fast nobbish car

anyone who asks for my number or who gives me theirs in the opening message

an overuse of icons

profile names relating to sexual things

all hugely offputting

elmoandella · 31/01/2009 19:57

i've just seen one and it's a fat bloke in bath with sparcely hairy chest.nearly threw up

aseriouslyblondemoment · 31/01/2009 20:01

have never tried it Lou
but have always fancied a jaunt upto Scotland to go salmon fishing
then obviously cook the thing and wash it down with plenty of malt!
N1 my only preference to type is tall, has hair, decent teeth, nice eyes/smile and not very keen on the overweight
also not into men who live in sports gear 24/7,wear bling, have piercings or lots of tattoes
am i too fussy?

OP posts:
elmoandella · 31/01/2009 20:05

asbm - i have similar things i look for. except if their going bald i dont mind as long as they shave it off and suit it.

must be tall for me as i'm 5ft10. so by time i wear heel i'm often over 6ft. i absolutely cant do fat. dont mind some spare tyre or not having a toned body. but not FAT!

aseriouslyblondemoment · 31/01/2009 20:07

oh deary me pmsl here!
aww Elmo what are you going to do now?
have you msnd him?
and the man in the bath oh FFS
is that meant to get our pulses a-racin
and overcome with lascivious thoughts
er hellooo!!
quick Lou get on there and put him straight lol!
i also hate those shots of the geezer man down the local with his equally boring mates
you know the ones pint in each hand

OP posts:
aseriouslyblondemoment · 31/01/2009 20:14

elmo now there's a word i like to see toned
mmmmmmmmmmm!

yes the hair thing i agree
i just hate it when i see those nuggets with their shiny pates leering out at me on my viewed pages
and theyre always wearing sleeveless sports wear, covered in tats
oh and most annoyingly of all describe themselves as intellectual

OP posts:
elmoandella · 31/01/2009 20:14

i've sent a humour filled msn to receive when he logs on again. something quirky yet witty.

well thats what i was going for . who knows how it will be perceived.

i think both guys i'm chatting to think i'm a bit doo lallly

N1 · 31/01/2009 20:16

I would have to be tied down and forced to get a piercing or tattoo. When I get free, I am on a war path.

I am no good with abbreviations, I tend to misunderstand things. A few years ago, there was a lady looking for advice using a "2" instead of "to" or "too" or "two" and a "4" instead of "for" or "four". I so got that all mixed up and all wrong, to the point of giving out wrong advice.

Boots on a woman looks attractive.

lou33 · 31/01/2009 20:17

i like my tats and piercing, i wouldnt mind more, but i cant afford it

aseriouslyblondemoment · 31/01/2009 20:18

oh bless!
the man who went to the gym has been signed in for a good 1 1/2 hrs now
waiting for me to pop up
doesn't he think i have a life lol
anyway i think its time that inthemist came back with an update

OP posts:
elmoandella · 31/01/2009 20:18

n1 - foot fettish or just boot fetish??

i dislike tattoo either. if you have a small one that fine i could ignore. but one of those all over arms or back ones i loathe.

lou33 · 31/01/2009 20:20

i like tats
