I do like having a fancy, yet as nice as it is it really makes you realise you are on yuor own iyswim.

Like being single is my normal, and its ok, but you realise it would in fact be nice to have someone to cuddle. (and the rest)

exactly lou!! lol. but i've learnt to be more cautious no matter how easy i'd find it to go along with the water waves at the mo. he's asked me to some show or other - fine don't mind that but it's with his parents - do mind that bit and have told him! lol.

busy yes but have whittled down and weeded out the drips to 2 that i've mentioned, the one yesterday was from pof. the other one I met ages ago (about 6 months ago) on dating direct, we've been talking on/off since then really - initially it was all about him with v little from me, as wasn't so interested, but am now seeing him in a different light. but think will stick with the bloke I met yesterday. as the other one seems to be wanting to play games & I don't do that.

cleavage view is always good (but not too much mind! lol) you go girl, pluck up the courage and say hello.

oh my god yes. i pretty much spend my days in a haze about one bloke or another. there is my hot personal trainer (the only reason i ever step foot in a gym....) the damien lewis lookalike at head office (the only thing that makes seeing my evil boss bearable...) the postman (i kid you not - what a nice surprise when the parcels are delivered - sometimes i even consider sending them to myself for fun. knowing my luck though they would arrive on his day off and it would be the fat old guy instead...)

and drum roll please...................the guy i have a date with on thursday night!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! woooohoooooo - seriously the fittest bloke i have ever seen, very family orientated and nice with it. you know the other thread about naughtiness on a first date - oh how i hope its me on thursday.. now where was i

ooh spill it all lou - is this the same french man as the one at xmas?

Report
davidtennantsmistress · 06/07/2008 19:05

ooh what thread missed that one! lmao @ the postie - he wouldn't be a young fit welsh one by the name of steve would he?? good lulck for your date thou.

i've just said to the blokey from yesterday we can see how things go - am v v cautious, and nervous, but nothing ventured etc, am seriously looking forward to seeing him again in a fortnights time. to quote him just 'I really want to make this work' my responce was well we'll see how it pans out.

re first date - well yesterdays one, had a kiss/hand held/hugs at the station, was v relaxed, kissed him actually and instantly thought 'WOW' good looking, charming, and can kiss - shame he's a bit short but we'll see (5'7) I usually like 6ft. but we'll see.

lol good luck prettyfly

no it wasnt the one from winter, someone else, he lives near portsmouth, owns his own aviation business

he just asked if he can cook for me in the near future and i said yes

actually, i say he is french, because he was born there and has a french accent, but he is actually half italian and half iranian

the only problem is i still have my friend declaring his feelings for me, so i need to address that again it seems, without ruining our relationship

oh lou - is that still going on. my rat bag ex has started seeing someone from all accounts. good luck to her and it did me a favour cause i was still crying into my tea until i found that out. then it was time to get up and get a bloody move on. i am actually really looking forward to my date - we have met already and oh my goodnes - he looks like david boreanaz (angel out of buffy) got a good job, his own flat and is totally independant so no more mummies boys for me. very very new and not interested in anything serious but by god I may be a mother but i still have needs. now back to the mills and boon

tell me more about this guy lou - sounds exotic!!!

if it is the same guy we are talking about then yes, it is still going on

my lunch date was 5 yrs younger than me at 36, he wouldnt let me buy anything, opened doors for me etc

i have been talking to him for a good few weeks

we chatted non stop, no awkward moments, in fact i was late back as i didnt notice the time (probably hypnotised by his lovely voice)!

David Boreanaz lookalike .

dtm, do you really get that blokes think single mums are an easy lay and grateful for the attention? Do the rest of you find that? I'm seriously interested as I've never noticed that (or maybe I'm just an easy lay anyway )

Yep, a few years, 4 to be exact! It's long, it's complicated and set to get even longer and more complicated. If I tell you the story we'll be here all night lol. But I love him, he loves me, he loves my boys, they get on brilliantly with him. I'd have him move in here now, but he's got a lot to sort out, so I think it's gonna be a bloody hard few months until we can really be together properly, and then it'll probably be hard for quite a while after that. But, I so hope we can get through it, as my friend said if we really feel that way about each other, then we'll get through it. If I believed in such a thing, then he'd be 'the one' he really would.

i know. i dont even want him to speak on our date, bound to say something stupid and ruin it. just wish to look at his lovely face (and physique natch). yum.

ahhh panda i hope it works out for you - ood luck to ya babe.

i have found that itsa wierd split with men and single mums. a fair few do assume your easy and grateful. ggrrr. then there are the others who think you only want a father replacement bigger grrrr. then there are the nice ones who realise that we do a damned hard job and not to play with us. but they seem to be rare.

fawke, today's date involved only 1 small beer, as we were both driving, but it was v enjoyable

I dont know why i want a date so soon...i mean its been 2 and a bit months....not a long time

i suppose i just want to remind myself that i am worthy of a date...not just a shag.....i dont want a relationship really....just company lol

Report
mypandasgotcrabs · 06/07/2008 22:10

IKWYM fawkeoff. It's the company, the having somewhere to go, and someone to go there with. Having a proper conversation with another adult, just enjoying each others company.

when i used to have more of a social (real) life, and did more looking onthe interent it was always the early 20's guys who were desp to impress.
is this becuase girls tier own age are too east/ too fussy?

maybe fussy.

anyway, for expample, i have had a beautiful email from a 22yr old in Italy, who really isn't going to ge tin to my pants anyu time soon, but he seemed very intelligent, and i was really impressed.

My made me feel like, 'right' if he can fancy me, surely my latest crush can.

I keep dreaming of shagging, and also the other night I announced my pregnancy to everyone.

arghhh, i feel like life was ok before i fancied him, and now i have been stirred, irealsie what i might bemissing out on. And that hurts a bit iyswim. I do try to ignore the whole happy family thing alot, cos i aint got one.
