sideways · 19/11/2006 20:39

Whereabouts are you (approx)? As Glassofwine said, someone may be able to help you over the next few days.

Mercy · 19/11/2006 20:40

Penniless, even as I was typing I realised you would have tried that already. So sorry .

Do you have any food at all atm? What have got?

(even if it seems like nothing it may be possible to cobble a couple of meals together, however bizarre they may sound)

Fattymumma · 19/11/2006 20:43

i am in west sussex and if you are anywhere near me i have a freezer full of bits and pieces that we wont eat. i would be happy for you to have them.

i know you don't want to reveal anything about yourself but i can assure you that in my job (when i was working) confidentiality is rule numero uno so your privacy is assured....plus i am rubbish with names anyway.

please feel free to CAT me or email me on FATTIEMUMMA @ msn.com

ISawTortoiseKissingSantaClaus · 19/11/2006 20:45

Have you got anything you can sell on here or Ebay? That would bring you in a little money to help with christmas.
Im trying to do that now so that i can transfer some from Paypal to bank account for christmas food mainly.

lissiew · 19/11/2006 20:49

im in shropshire if i can help

AitchTwoOh · 19/11/2006 20:50

penniless just tell us where you are and i'm sure someone will be able to help. we're all nicknames here anyway, if we find out your RL name it won't mean anything to anyone. doesn't mean that they'll find out your more usual nickname, if you get my drift? i'm sorry you find yourself in this position, but as you've pointed out, this could happen to any of us so you are doing the right thing if you accept some assistance.

nutcracker · 19/11/2006 20:55

You can't not eat. Haven't much in myself but could spare some tinned stuff and have some packs of savoury rice and some pasta. If you email me [email protected] with your addy I could send them out in the morning if thats any good.

lissiew · 19/11/2006 20:58

WideWebWitch · 19/11/2006 21:02

penniless, let us know where you are roughly and there's sure to be someone who can help.

EmmyLou · 19/11/2006 21:04

Penniless - I'm in North Yorkshire, can I help? Don't like to give out my email (gets DH hot and bothered) but have some Tesco vouchers that i don't really need.

Could you give us the vague location, just so we know if any of us are somewhere near.

I have some supermarket vouchers you are very welcome to.

Saturn74 · 19/11/2006 21:15

Would you be happy to tell Soapbox your address in confidence?

Maybe a few of us could club together and get a supermarket delivery to you to see you through the next few days?

ellesbells · 19/11/2006 21:15

penniless. it doesnt matter that your a regular i wont know your real name anyway! please mail me [email protected] (stupid e'mail address i know) but please dont be ashamed we have all been there or close at some point x
