i grabbed the beer whilst he got swamped under 3 dogs and one 9 yr old child
then when the 13 and 11 yr old realised he had sweets, they piled in too
i finally got to him about 10 mins after 
he is currently flat out on my bed accompanied by 2 dogs, though we are holding the children at bay
the m3 was blocked from someone going into the back of another car, the front driver was thought to have back and neck injuries, so as well as the police they had an ambulance and fire engine there
callous as it seems, i said to him to hope he got a call from the highways agency to be incident support manager (cos he does that too), so he could put his van lights on and use hard shoulder, then sneak by loads of cars before he rejoined the melee
but they didnt call him
