OMFG

have had a message from a young man on POF who says he makes boots and suffers from priapism (I had to google it) - persistent erection syndrome. Also likes working as a houseboy.

It's time to give up isn't it? Hmm

mummyilubyou · 02/09/2010 22:46

hello

Remotew · 02/09/2010 22:47

SCL lol, I've been thinking about giving up too. Just changed my setting to stop old ones, ones without images etc from contacting me.

Sent two messages out myself tonight. One is to a very fit looking older guy. Don't suppose I will hear back.

So forget the weirdness, what does he look like? Just been on POF and some young 25 yr old had looked at my profile, he's drop dead gorg but managed to resist contacting him. Grin

sincitylover · 02/09/2010 22:57

he's quite good looking but I won't be going there.

Yes Mummy how was your date?

mummyilubyou · 02/09/2010 22:58

well!

first of all, thanks to you all for encouraging me to get off my ass and go on a date

It was lovely

He was really nice, much nicer than in his pics (which weren't bad)

We went to a local pub which I can walk to from the station (was in town today) and then walk home from.

God I had a rubbish day workwise and I was worried I just wasn't in the right frame of mind for making the effort to talk to a stranger

and then he was late! But only by a couple of mins and he texted to say he was slightly lost etc

and we talked about all sorts of stuff and I got quite a lot of fluttery in the stomach feelings thinking I actually could quite fancy you

and then I totally cocked up saying goodbye, ducked being kissed and practically ran away

I cant believe Mummy has gone to bed and left us all gagging to find out what happened! I only ever date men for the entertainment of my girlfriends Grin

mummyilubyou · 02/09/2010 23:01

so much for 'am desperate for a snog'

I just got massively cold feet and terrors

elastamum · 02/09/2010 23:01

Ohh, sounds great, you didnt kiss him then! You cant be as desperate as the rest of us!! at least you have left him wanting more Smile

mummyilubyou · 02/09/2010 23:03

poor man

I really wish I had handled it better

I rally liked him

elastamum · 02/09/2010 23:04

Dont worry, I think unless you meet the man of your dreams it takes quite a few dates before you stop feeling about 12 again. the first guy I dated after I split was lovely but frightened the life out of me with his interest - and i'm normally pretty brave Smile

elastamum · 02/09/2010 23:06

Well done Mummy - am off to bed now. its a 6.15 start to muck out the horse

Remotew · 02/09/2010 23:09

It sounds fine. Wait for him to text you then say you are glad he hasn't bolted and that it's been a while but you are looking forward to seeing him again.

OP posts:
mummyilubyou · 02/09/2010 23:10

ooh,

I just dropped him an email saying how much I enjoyed myself and sorry for being crap at the end and have had a lovely message back asking if I can meet up next Saturday or Sunday

hurray

Grin
mummyilubyou · 02/09/2010 23:12

sorry eve, am so far from being cool it's not true

elasta, I hope you get to go for a good blast sometimes as well as all that mucking out. If it's any consolation, I will be poked in the ribs at 6 by dd2 saying loudly right in my ear 'mummy, need a wee'

Remotew · 02/09/2010 23:16

Fingers crossed he replies.

Must get to bed myself. Have a train to catch at 7.55 for a shopping trip, sounds great but it's DD who need kitting out. That will be fun Hmm. Might see if I can afford a new top for me Sad.

Should have read properly. That's great he suggested another date. Have a few drinks next time and do the lean in, only if you really want to. Grin

nn eve Grin Grin

Flamesparrow · 02/09/2010 23:24

Sorry for those of you having a rough time :(

I ducked away from mine a bit too :o He didn't seem sure if he was aiming for cheek or more, and I just sort of turned into cheek/hug.

Ongoing teasing about a bit of his life, and he said tonight that maybe he will tell me after a few more dates! :o for him planning several more, but Angry at being teased and made to wait.

Janos · 03/09/2010 09:38

Oh elasta so sorry to hear about your aunt :(

And lou - :( for your DS and how bloody stressful with the bank. Money a constant source of stress over here too (nothing from XP despite his promises but no surprise there really).

Janos · 03/09/2010 09:41

I probably shouldn't say this but I deal with banks as part of my job and you'd be surprised (or maybe not) how often they make this kind of mistake.

Janos · 03/09/2010 09:43

Grin and Hmm at your houseboy email, SCL.

MILY - you didn't do anything wrong! It's a bit nerve wracking dating after coming out of an LTR.

If you still like him then send a quick text to say you had a nice time and wltm again?
