Hi Mine
I'm probably being very dim, but I've racked my brains and I really don't know what BLW stands for
Anyway, I'm going to stand up and admit this to you other mums - I took jars of shop bought food on holiday. I really couldn't think of any other way to do it and when I went into Tescos and read the ingredients it was all just stuff I'd put in myself (I bought Hipp organic and Luc seems to like them all apart from the cauliflower cheese which makes him pull a face). It's great for travelling because you don't have to refrigerate them if they're unopened. I still make food for Luc but I'm definitely a convert to having some jars in the house to make life easier. I think buying ready prepared baby food is a bit stigmatized nowadays (a bit like choosing not to breastfeed), but there really is more to life than pureeing, especially on holiday.
Luc did have his own cot to sleep in, and a highchair too. The cot was quite small compared to the cotbed he has at home so he couldn't do his usual acrobatics around it (he's turned himself completely upsidedown a couple of times).
We didnt' do an awful lot - best to take babysitters next time I think. But we went swimming, walked a lot and had some nice peaceful lunches while Luc was asleep in his pushchair. I also had an afternoon in the spa while dh looked after Luc.
Luc's sleeping has really improved. I think I told you before I went away that we had decided to let him cry a bit and try to settle himself. Well, it only really took one night of that and he now can go into his cot awake and settle himself and also if he wakes up in the night, which he could never do before. So I'm getting mostly undisturbed nights which is fantastic. Long may it last.
How is everyone doing with the blackouts?
