Speak soon everyone
x

Vicky31 · 30/04/2008 09:03

Oooh sounds good. We'll hopefully be taking Luc swimming on Friday, but we also have to go to deepest Essex to pick up a fridge I bought on ebay so I hope we have time. The fridge is a lovely pastel blue smeg (couldn't afford a new one).
I'm very hungry. I didn't manage to get my brekkie this morning before all my workmen turned up and invaded the kitchen, so will have to go out for some. I was all ready to go and it got really dark out and started to rain
Jello, it was so lovely to see you and Aaron yesterday. I really can't remember Luc being that tiny but I know he was. It's sad how quickly we forget stuff like that. He's a real little cutie. Hope you had a good night with him.

LittleBigMansMum · 30/04/2008 12:20

hey all.
jelloo - Aaron is soo cute. take lots of pics when he is this small, as he'll grow so fast you won;t even notice it!!
Hope stork club was fun. Am gutted i'm missing it AGAIN this week
Will defo go next week.

harri - fab abt swimming class. Where did you go and was it one especially for babies...??

Not much going on here, just waiting for dh's cousin to arrive with her dh and their twins for lunch. Lazy day at home basically.

I'm looking forward to The Apprentice tonight...... i'm addicted to that programme. Don;t laugh!

FG1 · 30/04/2008 16:17

hello all!

i'm in gloucester this week with dh. Weather's been miserable but so much greener and clean here compared to Enfield! The mothercare in gloucester has the best feeding room with dutalier chairs and sofas. Spent 2hours in there today!

Are you all meeting up next week as I defo want to come along!

I love The apprentice too! Anyone into Hero's? Its on tomorrow.

Jello39 · 30/04/2008 17:11

hi girls,

really good to meet up on Wed. needed that little break. Had a good night, Aaron slept well. used the tips re warm blanket and comforter with dh's smell on. First time he has gone down well and also first time got him to go back into his basket after a night feed. will do the music tonight Mine.

Did the Stork Club today. getting to know a few more of the mums. As Aaron is so small everyone wants to have a look at him.

Mum coming later with some food, I'll get her to clean up a bit as things are a bit messy, no time to tidy and clean at the moment. Mil is around tomorrow so will get her to help out too.

afraid no addictions to The Apprentice or Hero's, sorry . more into the medical soaps and dramas like Casualty, Holby City,

Hope we can do Stork Club next week.

LittleBigMansMum · 02/05/2008 14:10

hi ladies

whats new with everyone....??
I'm bored today, not been out so feeling a bit caged in.
Supposed to go to mil tonight for dinner so at least i have something to look forward to!

Harri1 · 02/05/2008 17:30

Hi all,
We've been to a music group in winchmore hill today it was ok, about 8 mums with bubs my dd was the youngest just singing and bashing instruments in a church hall really but she enjoyed it.
Am on a hen do tomorrow and it's first time dh has has her for the full day!!! Should I be worried?
Hope everyone is ok
x

Vicky31 · 02/05/2008 18:06

It will be interesting to hear how your dh copes for the day! I'm sure they don't realise the full extent of what's involved. Enjoy the hen do.
Today has been quite hard as Luc is teething again and can be lovely one minute and a little monster the next. I love him to bits and wouldn't be without him, but by god sometimes I miss my old life.

LittleBigMansMum · 02/05/2008 21:10

vicki i feel like that too, but i've never really said it out loud because i feel guilty but its soooooooo true. I had hard few days with Eren too. He's really not eating well at all and i'm just really frustrated.

this too shall pass.....

Harri - enjoy the hen do. DH will cope fine but may struggle a bit... which will be just. It'll give him a taste of what a full day with a baby is really like!!

Where are you going????

You know we'll live a semi social life through you with this don;t you!!!

Vicky31 · 04/05/2008 10:39

Is Eren teething? I think that really puts them off their food. Yesterday when Luc had his bottle he was pulling at his ears so much that they went all red - I think the pain passes up their jaws to their ears.
I don't think we should feel guilty about the occasional yearning for our old lives. After all, we don't want them back permanently, just the odd day once in a while would be nice. When I think that I used to take my breakfast back to bed at the weekends and spend ages reading and snuggling up to dh it makes me think I used to live a life of luxury.
Looking forward to hearing about the hen night. Ooooh to get tarted up and go out for the night. Maybe we should all get together for a baby-free meal out one evening.

Vicky31 · 04/05/2008 11:34

Hi Girls
I've just been looking at a website called baby friendly boltholes. There are some really lovely holiday places. I can't afford to book more holidys this year so have made an enquiry for next year. Yay!!! I love holidays.

Harri1 · 04/05/2008 12:38

Hi hen do was lovely a really extravagant day out,
Lunch at J Sheekeys in cov garden v. nice and posh!
Then a spa in e.london very relaxing turkish bath, sauna steam room and then to hoxton for cocktails bliss.
Was so nice t feel like me again instead of mummy eaven just for 1 afternoon/ evening.
Only had 4 phone calls and 3 texts during lunch!!!!! And she only missed 2 bottles during the 5 hours she was awake!!!!! Including her bedtime bottle, MEN! Gave her an 11 o'clock dream feed when I GOT IN! Thankfully she slept in. Wow long message.
Hope you are all ok and that your lovelys are a bit more settles today
xx

LittleBigMansMum · 04/05/2008 16:11

nice one Harri!!!
Sounds like THE perfect day/evening.
Did you get mauled by the masseurs at the turkish baths..?
I'm turkish and have not been brave enough to have one of those... they look too rough for me and my delicate skin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We defo should do an evening out. Just say when.
Do youknow, with all this sunny weather i really fancy a Pimms, and a vodka and coke, and a cheesey Seabreeze, oh and a tequila shot or two..... hmm, i miss having a drink.

I was also thinking of maybe doing a picnic is a park one weekend with dh/dp's. Maybe sometime in July when the weather is a bit more bankable.

Vicki - i love holidays too.... i live for them. Count down to our break soon... 5 weeks to go and we're off to Egypt.

Aren;t you going away soon....??

Eren is defo teething, but i think its more so that the solids are keeping him going for 4-5 hours at a time that he misses the milk feeds and is totally not interested. maybe he'll snap out of it just as quickly as he got into this 'mess'!

Mine · 06/05/2008 09:25

anyone fancy going to a park tomorrow, maybe a mini picnic type thing....??

Vicky31 · 06/05/2008 10:01

That sounds great - weather is supposed to be lovely. When and where do you fancy? I'll pop out in the morning to get some picnic goodies.

I'm off now to get to grips with a new sunshade I've bought for the pushchair.

Jello39 · 06/05/2008 11:06

Hi Ladies,

a busy few days,

took Aaron on Friday for some osteopathy, cried through most of it. Slept all afternoon and then kept us up all through the night. Things mat be getting better as we are getting some times where he will lie quietly for about 10 mins without crying.

More visitors around at weekend who spent cooing away at him as he slept soundly. I tell them he cries a lot and they then see him like that, so typical!!

up for the park if a nice day. where shall we go. is there one central to us all.
can bring some food or drinks too.

Mine · 06/05/2008 13:07

coolio.

how about the park in palmers green we walked through the other week..??

FG1 · 06/05/2008 13:17

Hi all!

what lovely weather! Went to funfair in Brookmans park yesterday. Ds just observed and didn't mind the noise.

Harri- your evening out sounds great. Be a long time till I can do something like that!

Not getting on well with inroducing bottle. I am using breast milk and tried different teats but ds knows what he wants.

He is only four months but dribbling a lot and sucking his fists ...is this a sign he may be teething?

Is enfield park central to all? 2pm?

Mine · 06/05/2008 13:35

hey FG1.
Where is the park in Enfield Town....???
