Copper, sounds good. I think it starts at 8 or 8.30pm so should have plenty of time

sfxmum · 25/07/2011 22:55

anyone watched Newsnight? EDL pamphlet

lovely time with family, really tired, 3 sleeps to festival yeahGrin

UptoapointLordCopper · 26/07/2011 09:57

Good morning!

sfx - I only ever watch Newsnight out of inertia. Not last night though....

Have a headache but run out of neurofen and paracetamol doesn't seem to work ... But a trip to the supermarket planned for after Horrid Henry so all is not lost.

sfxmum · 26/07/2011 15:11

copper the English Defence League were on and Paxo did not really put up much of a challenge

dd woke up at 5 I repeat 5 am Shock she is of course exhausted having gone to bed after 9.30pm. anyway we went to the scheduled dentist visit, she does indeed have 4 wobbly teeth and just overnight the 2 bottom incisors have cut through behind the milk ones, the molars are starting to push as well.
dentist asked if she has been cranky latelyGrin

tillyfernackerpants · 26/07/2011 19:43

sfx, there was an article in the paper today about the EDL and its supposed links with Breviek (sp?), not really surprised tbh

Boys have been v trying today, it's only the 2nd day Shock, I was hoping I would at least get one week before they got fed up!

vbus · 26/07/2011 20:07

Tilly - put one upstairs and one in the garden Grin

Sfx - ouch re: teeth, hope you're both coping well with it. Totally agree re: fest, parenting is hard enough without chucking camping into the mix Grin They are forecasting showers Thurs and Fri, how dare they???

Had an action packed day and boys out like a light at bedtime. We saw Cars 2 which was brill, then went to the adventure playground at Marble Hill was was fab.
At least DS1 at camp tomorrow so I can get chance to tidy up house and pack for trip. Slight problem I can't find my sleeping bag Confused

sfxmum · 26/07/2011 20:23

Tilly hope boredom is just a transition phase
and EDL are scum

vbus if you are desperate I have a spare sleeping bag, very basic but should do it

vbus · 26/07/2011 20:25

Sfx - thanks I'll let you know, I'm going to have another look now. For some reason it's not with all the other camping stuff Hmm

OP posts:
tillyfernackerpants · 26/07/2011 20:29

vbus, I would do but ds2 has taken to following ds1 around. Which is v sweet but I think ds1 is finding it a little irritating Grin. Which adventure playground was it? Was it the one next to the 1 o'clock club?

sfx, yep, they are most definitely

UptoapointLordCopper · 26/07/2011 20:39

LOL at dentist asking if kids are cranky lately. They are all cranky lately. Hopefully will get better as they get some rest.

We just went to the supermarket and the park. And watched Kung Fu Panda again...

vbus - is Cars 2 as good as the first one?

vbus · 26/07/2011 21:09

Copper - second film is great, boys & their friends have not stopped talking about it all day. DS1 wants to see it again!

Tilly - that is hard work. DS1 was quite annoying yesterday at park. Today was so much better as we had lots of things to do. Yes that's the playground for 5-15 yr olds. DS1 went in with 3 of his friends for 2hrs. We sat outside with the little ones. They seemed quite young for it but fun time had by all!

sfxmum · 26/07/2011 21:43

vbus I call that magic mummy skills, the gift to find what is right in front of our eyes but that somehow everyone else in the household fails to find

Tomorrow morning I need to cook a bolognese sauce to freeze and eat on first night, will take bread instead of pasta as we only have a Trangia. am also making chocolate raw cake, yummy and can freeze in little bars or balls for yummy treats.
dd's bag is packed hopefully the rest will be easy
I am taking a box of wine too, dh seemed shocked that it was 3 bottles worthHmm I mean it is 4 nights Grin

anyway I hope the tent extension works, have not had the chance to try it.

2 sleeps

sfxmum · 26/07/2011 21:45

haven't watched Cars I expect dd thinks it is for boys only.
she is a very awkward trying new things the first instinct it to say she does not like it

vbus · 27/07/2011 13:10

Sfx - so the party's at your tent is it? WineWink Waiting for DS2 to have his nap then can start packing and cooking, will do sausage casserole. Don't think we'll have room to pack our extension, but tent looks huge in pics so should be ok without for this trip

OP posts:
sfxmum · 27/07/2011 15:19

Done the cooking family now demanding muffins Hmm
App doing stupid stuff dd using my laptop to keep herself entertained very 21st century

vbus · 27/07/2011 20:57

Packed all the food and clothes. DH to pack camping gear and his stuff tomorrow monirng then we'll set off whenever we're ready.

Pleased that DS1 really enjoyed the kids club

Going for an early night, I'm exhausted!

sfxmum · 01/08/2011 11:27

hello people so quiet here, everything ok?

sfxmum · 01/08/2011 15:19

Bikes! police found our bikes Shock

tillyfernackerpants · 01/08/2011 16:12

Sfx, wow Shock, how was the festival?

sfxmum · 01/08/2011 16:39

Tilly we were amazed too when the police called this morning, however it took some effort on our part. basically the people who do our CCTV had been contacted by us&police in order to retrieved footage,

they basically dragged their feet and made faint 'may not be possible for all sorts of rubbish reasons' type noises. dh got really really annoyed and chased them up, making official complaints along the way.

So result was at the very last minute (they recycle tape) the police got the footage, called us to thank us, saw the thief who, surprise surprise is local and known to them, and got the bikes back, along with others stolen property.

now we have 4 bikes, not sure how this works with insurance we already bough the replacements, oh well very pleased with outcome none the less

festival was loads of fun, mostly dd did what she wanted, drove back during night, dh sleep walked to work, doing loads of laundry.

when ballet flashmob appears on youtube will postGrin

the rumour that David Cameron was there was thankfully false

sfxmum · 01/08/2011 16:41

just to be clear we did not let child drive us backHmm
but she did go down the helter skelter by herself

tillyfernackerpants · 01/08/2011 16:43

Was dd part of the ballet flashmob? Grin

I have, in a fit of madness, booked tickets to take the boys to Lollibop on Sunday Hmm

sfxmum · 01/08/2011 17:00

we all did dh twirled and plied & jeted like the best of them tooGrin

tilly it should be fun take back up and have a blast

tillyfernackerpants · 01/08/2011 17:49

Dh is away but we're going with a friend, her 3 children & her sister, should be fun Grin
