here

ZZZen · 24/11/2008 13:23

oh don't keep doing that you devil! THey're adorable.

Don't mind cleaning ears so much Dr. G, it's the bums that are worrying me. Never thought about dogs' bums before

TheGabster · 24/11/2008 13:24

Yes, yes, we looked. I WANT the curly setter but DH would kill me. Could also have the jack russell but I think my dog would kill/eat it!!!!

TheGabster · 24/11/2008 13:25

Must say here and now I have only v.few times had to clean my dogs bum. Its nothing compared to some of the nappies DS produces. Plus you get to stay at arms length and use a stick usually, rather than getting it all under fingers nails as I usually manage with DS.

TheGabster · 24/11/2008 13:26

cant believe DS is still asleep. Have been in once to resettle but he has been asleep nearly 2hrs - practically unheard of length of lunch nap.

ZZZen · 24/11/2008 13:27

OMG what kind of dog do you have then Dr. G?

I do want a dog, I really do. I want one that looks at me with big loving eyes and wags its tail when I come home, full of excitement.

ZZZen · 24/11/2008 13:29

watch it, your dance might wake him up!

TheGabster · 24/11/2008 13:29

YUp, I have one of those - then he goes and gets his rope toy or, more often, stares at his lead and ropeball hanging up.

He is a GSD and is a complete poser beacuse he is show standard and he knows it - looks like this

ZZZen · 24/11/2008 13:35

OMG it's Kommissar Rex!

ZZZen · 24/11/2008 13:36

I'm wondering now about cleaning a dog's bum with a stick and thinking perhaps it's better not to think about it!

TheGabster · 24/11/2008 13:38

Yup, Rex, that's what everyone calls him - even at dog school (where all the dogs are GSDs).

But we really are obsessing now ladies. Most does learn quite young to drag their bums along the grass.

Ooooo - that rmeinds me - hope you don't value your lawn ....

(DS still asleep by the way - dance was fine. he he)

ZZZen · 24/11/2008 13:41

I admit I really like Kommissar Rex for some reason but I liked the guy who used to do it (TObias something) more than the one I last saw who I thought too soft and effiminate. NOt my type.

Remember someone called me once after I'd been watching the show and wanted to know what I had been doing to be in such a good mood and why I was sounding so happy and I mumbled that I'd err just been watching Kommissar Rex !

MmeLindt · 24/11/2008 13:46

Tobias Moretti, I think.

LOL at DrG with Komissar Rex

MmeLindt · 24/11/2008 13:49

just for Z

MmeLindt · 24/11/2008 17:42

Went to see the puppies. OMG they were cute. Pics on profile of the one we could have, once I speak to DH and bribe persuade him that we want her.

MmeLindt · 24/11/2008 19:06

DH has agreed! Just need to speak to the lady (how? In French!) and arrange everything.

TheGabster · 24/11/2008 19:42

You need to look here first lindt.

taipo · 24/11/2008 19:51

OMG those puppies are cute. I'm really not a doggy person at all but I WANT ONE!

MmeLindt · 24/11/2008 20:23

admylin · 25/11/2008 09:23

Wow, mmelindt you have really made your dc's day, you can tell on the photos! Adorable, goldig and cute!
Good luck with the puppy training! My neighbour said you just have to take them out loads at first to get them used to weeing outside. After every drink and feed and inbetween.

Shiner · 25/11/2008 09:35

Margo is a fabulous name! But then, I was always a fan of "the good life"...

Looking at your pictures however, I thought she looked more like a Daphne, all sweet and keen? Gorgeous dog, whatever you choose.

Have fun choosing!

admylin · 25/11/2008 10:43

I would have thought Daphne too. Have you made your mind up yet? I bet mmelindt is out shopping at pet paradise or whatever the Swiss pet shop name is looking for puppy's new bed, bowl, lead and such like!

MmeLindt · 25/11/2008 11:24

I am glad that you like Daphne. I think it suits her. Will have to speak to DH but he is going to say that I should chose what I like, I suppose. The DC don't know yet, not sure when to tell them, perhaps when DH gets home so that he sees it was the right decision. I just told them that we were allowed to go and play with some puppies.

I was not at a pet store, but I might have been if I had time this morning

This morning was spent in the company of a woman from a beratungs service, she is going to help me get a job. This is paid for by DH's company. She said that I should be able to do classes for business men in their company's premises, for a language school. That would be very cool as I would not have to have pupils in my house any more.

I have to send her my CV (not been updated for years) and she will adapt it to Swiss standard. She will also give me some training for interviews etc.

Just have to find out how much I am allowed to earn before it all goes to the taxman.
