Wow we filled the thread guys. So as I was about to Say UR you've probably had squirrel if you've eaten Chinese . Think I've had most things. Just don't ask eat. Roasting hot here, very busy but having a blast. Enjoyed our new gym yesterday and picnic in the park tonight which was wonderful. Live music, handsome young men - need I say more.

How on earth can meringue powder cost $21? It's only eggs and sugar

goldFAQinsenceandmyrrh · 10/12/2008 04:13

meringue powder???? Why on earht would you need meringue powder anyhow!!!

dooneygirl · 10/12/2008 04:15

That's what I was wondering, too.

I went to Cost Plus today, too because they had all my yummy baking chocolate on sale. I got some extra for the kids' teacher, as she invited me to a Pampered Chef party last Friday, where I found out she's quite the baker. I also got her some really good quality vanilla, and some really nice spices from Penzey's as she's never heard of any of the varieties of chocolates, or Penzey's at all. Is that a naff gift?

'ello FAQ!

dooneygirl · 10/12/2008 04:17

I need meringue powder for all of us uptight American moms whose mothers ALL instilled the fear of salmonella from raw eggs, and would never let us lick the bowl of anything with raw eggs in it.

goldFAQinsenceandmyrrh · 10/12/2008 04:18

'elo SB

oooooo - you poor things Dooney

SuperBunny · 10/12/2008 04:20

No, that's a FAB gift, Dooney

SuperBunny · 10/12/2008 04:22

Yeah, licking out the bowl is the best bit! My mum stopped us too but we did it anyway. I think eggs these days are ok, aren't they? But lots of people are wary.

SuperBunny · 10/12/2008 04:24

Ooo, I saw him today. Well, his car. At least, I assume it was him (or someone else relatively important) since his street was blocked off and a convoy of 3 huge SUVs, a minibus (full), and ambulance (with flashing lights) went by with 2 police cars at the front and the back. I wonder what was going on.

dooneygirl · 10/12/2008 04:26

Maybe it wasn't him, but it was your lovely Governor being hauled away.

goldFAQinsenceandmyrrh · 10/12/2008 04:26

ooooo - very jealous that you live that close to him .

was a fab night that staying up to watch his speech and all, was totally knackered the following day and the meeting I had that evening I can't remember at all LOL.

dooneygirl · 10/12/2008 04:26

Oh, and I wasn't totally deprived. My grandma always let me lick the bowl, and any utensils involved in her baking.

SuperBunny · 10/12/2008 04:27

OMG, I just read about that

twas a good night, FAQ!

goldFAQinsenceandmyrrh · 10/12/2008 04:28

phew dooney - I feel much for knowing that you didn't totally miss out

Right going to go and empty my dishwasher, make a coffee and cut some malt loaf - I'm hungry and it just doesn't feel like the right time of day to be eating Ben and Jerry's lol.

dooneygirl · 10/12/2008 04:31

It is always the right time of the day for Ben and Jerry's.

goldFAQinsenceandmyrrh · 10/12/2008 04:40

lo Dooney - I know it is really - but well - I think I'll save it for tonight

SuperBunny · 10/12/2008 04:51

Aw, Bryn and Nessa doing Frank and Nancy's I Love You.

SuperBunny · 10/12/2008 04:52

(Hula Hoops are good at any time of day too )

goldFAQinsenceandmyrrh · 10/12/2008 04:53

and besides it's so flipping expensive I prefer to eat it when I know I've got a full evening to enjoy it - rather than eating it when there's a risk that the DS's could be up in a matter of hours LOL.

gosh it's dreadfully dull on MN at this time of the day isn't it

dooneygirl · 10/12/2008 04:54

Are they like potato chips? If so, then yes.

SuperBunny · 10/12/2008 05:11

like potato chips but soooo much better.

Diet starts tomorrow. Honest.

SuperBunny · 10/12/2008 14:53

Mornin' Y'all. Gotta dig the car out. Any more quakes, Cali? No-one on here was hurt by the plane in San Francisco, were they? Is Sitting Bull ok?

And the song was Something Stupid not whatever I said last night. I woke up in the night, thinking about it
