Wow we filled the thread guys. So as I was about to Say UR you've probably had squirrel if you've eaten Chinese . Think I've had most things. Just don't ask eat. Roasting hot here, very busy but having a blast. Enjoyed our new gym yesterday and picnic in the park tonight which was wonderful. Live music, handsome young men - need I say more.

Hope you have fun @ Legal Seafoods.

I didn't know that's how they made nipples. I wonder who came up with that idea.

I've always been a name-sharer. My first name anyway. My mum chose it when she was 13 because it was very uncommon but I was often one of 2 or 3 or more in my class. I don't know anyone with my last name though.

It turns out the surgeon the insurance company provided for me is really expert and highly qualified. I think he feels very keen to do the poncification now he's laid the foundations.

Had a lovely lunch with lovely Mananny - when she eventually arrived! She was sent on an errand by her employer and was seriously held up in traffic.

We're back in the hotel in our jimjams now. Got to get up at 4.30am to get to the airport - home sweet home tomorrow

mananny · 05/12/2008 23:48

It took me even longer to get home than to get to Legal Seafoods LOL I will be billing my bosses for all travel time involved in taking their grumpy but gorgeous cat to the Cat Spa for the weekend. (Yes, here in America, there ARE spas for cats - he comes back all groomed and manicured and smelling lovely. Growls at anything that moves though, and pees all over the floor in protest of his loss of dignity.)

Bloody traffic. Still, on the positive side, I didn't crash my car, and I waited at least 5 minutes after I walked in the front door to open a beer!!!!!

Twas very nice indeed to meet Anorak and Kimi, and to have a conversation where we all spoke the Queens English was also a bonus. Although now I really am craving peanut butter cups... thanks for that!!!!! Safe travels

SuperBunny · 06/12/2008 02:37

lol @ Cat Spa

Am glad you managed to meet up and had fun. Who had clam chowdah?

Have a safe trip home, Anorak

Have they finished the Big Dig yet? Boston is not my favourite place to drive. East coast drivers are a bit scary. They
re not much better here. My sister squealed several times when I drove her back to the airport (at other people's driving, not mine!)

mananny · 06/12/2008 02:45

No one actually had clam chowdah, I did think about it but then the scallop and portobello mushroom raviolo won me over!

The Big Dig is kind of finished, there are now multiple lawsuits going on about quality control etc... People here drive like loons, no consideration, no indicators, no recognition of road markings, etc... It makes for quite a high when you actually arrive at your destination alive!!!!!

dooneygirl · 06/12/2008 02:52

You're being too nice, SB. Chicago driving was infinitely better than that in Boston. And I flat-out refuse to drive in NYC.

So if any of you love peanut butter and chocolate, you have to check out this recipe. I made it this afternoon, and I am sooo going to gain weight this weekend. Even the non-cake and non-PB fan DH said they were the best cake-type thing he's ever eaten. I'm not sure if it was the recipe or the new brand of chocolate I tried today, but O. . . M. . . .G.

alipiggie · 06/12/2008 02:52

Bon Voyage Anorak. Sounds like you all had a great time in Boston. Well what would have been my 10th anniversary passed by this week and today is Ex's Birthday so in all a rather emotional and hectic week. Sat here childfree with feet up and feeling mellow now. All in all not too bad. Anyone got any great plans for the weekend?

We're going to get our Christmas tree, we're going to get our Christmas tree. And my mom is going to watch the kids, so we're going to have a kid-free night out for the first time since, I'm pretty sure, April.

alipiggie · 06/12/2008 03:06

Oh dooney - enjoy. Deck the halls tralala

Oh Ali I was thinking about anniversaries today - This would have been our 12th xmas together. Tis crap, isn't it?

I just had the best supper: 2 Curlywurlys, a bag of Hula Hoops (Beefy ones) and Nutella on toast with a banana.

Off to look at fabulous recipe

anorak · 06/12/2008 19:48

I'm back in Bermuda! Oh it's so lovely, I nearly cried when the plane landed, seeing the island stretched out down below, all bathed in warm sunshine, and knowing my husband and son were waiting a few yards away.

I don't care if I'm sore and stiff now, I'm home and I'm happy!

SuperBunny · 06/12/2008 19:56

Hooray!

SuperBunny · 07/12/2008 06:02

Why is no-one around when I need to chat? Hmm?

dooneygirl · 07/12/2008 06:08

I'm here.

SuperBunny · 07/12/2008 06:14

Aha!

Hello Dooney! Um, I had beer and it is making me rather more chatty than I usually am. I went on a date had a nice night but everyone I know is in bed now so I can't bore anyone with the details.

dooneygirl · 07/12/2008 06:17

You can bore me I will be hanging on your every word. We went out, and I had a drink, and am kind of loopy. I'll probably forget, anyway. Was it a good time or bad time? Was it with Indiana man or is he not in the picture any mre?

dooneygirl · 07/12/2008 06:18

Never mind, I saw nice night. I don't hold my liquor well, I'm afraid, and am stuffed beyond belief.

dooneygirl · 07/12/2008 06:21

I'm going to go change into my pants right now. I know I should say trousers, but I hate that word, and you can laugh at me. BRB. Like 1 minute.

dooneygirl · 07/12/2008 06:24

I'm back.

SuperBunny · 07/12/2008 06:25

Indiana man was a bit loopy and, well there were lots of things. So this was a different man. Um, Yellow Mustang Man.

Did you have a fun night?

Am cold, must go to bed. Thank you for listening!

SuperBunny · 07/12/2008 06:25

Oh! Hope your pants are comfy. I need to find my PJs. Bloody freezing in here.

dooneygirl · 07/12/2008 06:28

I didn't have to listen very long, did I? I don't know much of anything other than he has a yellow mustang?

They are very comfy.

I need to go to bed too. I get really sleepy. . . . . . zzzzzzzzzzz.

mananny · 07/12/2008 07:16

I am glad you're home and in the warm sunshine anorak it's bloody freezing here!!!!

Am now officially in Panic Mode as its so close to Xmas and I am nowhere near prepared... anyone else in the same boat? (please say yes LOL)
