Sausage rolls! Or am I the only one who likes them both hot and cold? Do sausage plait again maybe? You really can't go wrong with sausage.

What about a cream tea - sultana scones with strawberry jam and clotted cream (or the closest you can get to it)?

I'd think about doing something Indian or Thai as that is a Brit equivalent of Mexican food.

Think I should bow out now, as most any Indian or Thai food would have spices - which you don't eat, so not suitable.

Final suggestion (and I most definitely am NOT a recipe addict...which I'm sure is already apparent without me pointing it out ) - could you do some version of picnic style roast beef and yorkshire pudding? Maybe cold roast beef on yorkshire pudding 'biscuits' (American version of biscuits, not UK style)....or some other approximation?

See - I told you I wasn't a foodie. Will step aside now and await other more brilliant (and more authentic/edible) suggestions.

Me again - some sort of poached salmon with dill sauce? Not exactly picnic food perhaps...

One of the first things I make when I get back here is sausage gravy. You can't make it in the UK - no breakfast sausage! Agree with your "best sausage" theory totally.

Yes, I think I shall retire to the sidelines now, and become an observer rather than a participant! Would it surprise you to know that I've never actually had coronation chicken?
