My DD3 has stage 4 Cancer

We are in shock, horror, disbelief. Last week she had a sore leg and went to A&E, now she has stage 4 Neuroblastoma and chemo starts on Tuesday.
She's only 3 but she's taking it in her stride. She cried the other night and said 'I don't want to be sick, I just want to go to nursery with my friends' it broke my heart.
The implications are just hitting, our whole lives are turned upside down for at least a year. One of us will have to give up work, how will we cope? Financially, emotionally.
I have a black lump in my stomach and can't believe this is happening to us

We are at hospital now, getting ready for tomorrow. She is very excited! Happily talking about having surgery and getting rid of Monster Teddy (her tumour). I am terrified, trying to stay strong and calm in front of her. I just want to fast forward the next few days.

I didn't want to read and run. I can't imagine the pain, anguish, disbelief you're all going through. I really hope you all get the care and love you all need.

Hello @ToddlerMumma this is awful but the surgery will be a real relief once its over. Sounds like your little girl has been really resilient so far . I hope the surgery goes well tomorrow. I will pray for her.

OP, if you can at all, try to sleep while she's asleep tonight. Tomorrow will be the longest day ever.
I've never been quite in your position, but was in a similar one some years back. Being eternally cheerful on the outside but beside yourself on the inside is incredibly draining.
I'll be thinking of you and your DD tomorrow and sending positive thoughts.
