My DD3 has stage 4 Cancer

We are in shock, horror, disbelief. Last week she had a sore leg and went to A&E, now she has stage 4 Neuroblastoma and chemo starts on Tuesday.
She's only 3 but she's taking it in her stride. She cried the other night and said 'I don't want to be sick, I just want to go to nursery with my friends' it broke my heart.
The implications are just hitting, our whole lives are turned upside down for at least a year. One of us will have to give up work, how will we cope? Financially, emotionally.
I have a black lump in my stomach and can't believe this is happening to us

I’ve been following this thread from the beginning, my girl is four in a few months so it’s really hit home.

I think you are all doing amazingly. I can’t imagine what Wednesday will be like, but think of it as another milestone and she’s done so well to get here so quickly! I’ll be thinking of you all on Wednesday

Make sure you share time in and out of hospital, walk outside even if only for a few mins, get food and drink ready.

Let family and friends know ok to be in contact but not to ask for updates - you will text them when you have news/are good and ready

One step at a time OP. You're doing so well for your little girl, I can't imagine how hard this is for you and your family.

I'm so sorry that she is having to go through all this. It must be positive, though, that her surgeons think that she is strong enough to cope with this and believe there will be a good outcome. Although Wednesday might be the worst day of your life, hopefully Thursday will be the best. I'll be thinking of her, and of you and your family, on Wednesday. x
