We are in shock, horror, disbelief. Last week she had a sore leg and went to A&E, now she has stage 4 Neuroblastoma and chemo starts on Tuesday.
She's only 3 but she's taking it in her stride. She cried the other night and said 'I don't want to be sick, I just want to go to nursery with my friends' it broke my heart.
The implications are just hitting, our whole lives are turned upside down for at least a year. One of us will have to give up work, how will we cope? Financially, emotionally.
I have a black lump in my stomach and can't believe this is happening to us

@ToddlerMumma

She's ok!! She's sore and uncomfortable but the surgery went well. It took 10 hours as the tumour was wrapped around her internal organs from her diaphragm down into her pelvis. They got all visible tumour out and now she has a rainbow shaped scar from hip, over her belly button and down to the other hip. She is doing extremely well. She is thirsty but can't drink for a few days as her stomach needs to rest. The pain team have upped her meds so she can sleep a bit. My little superstar is ok Star
Phew!!

Bless you both so much xx

itsgettingwierd · 20/11/2021 18:34

So glad the surgery went well.

I hope she's a little less sore now too.

Santaischeckinglists · 20/11/2021 18:46

Bet she thinks up a great story for her scar op! Ds has one across his hand and tells people he got it punching a shark saving his brother one holiday! He is 20 and still tells it!
Enjoy Christmas with your dc! Bet it's a super special one!
