My son may be dying

Just that.

He has cancer, they have not been able to control it.

They have given him one last chemotherapy to see if it can turn a corner but his body may not be able to tolerate it and it may not work.

We have been told to prepare ourselves for him to deteriorate suddenly.

My husband can't be with us because my son also has Coronavirus so we are in isolation and he is with our other son.

Hang in there OP. This is an unbearably shit time for you all. Your son sounds wonderful - you have painted an incredible picture in my mind about his spirit and his zest for life. You are clearly very proud of the young man he has become. Hand hold for you all. I hope his new treatment knocks 6 bells out of the cancer and that he is go karting again before too long.

We're still here. He's having some more chemo today and hopefully will be well enough for new treatment next week.

It depends whether they decide his body is still strong enough to go through with it.

He's miserable and in pain. It's distressing but at least we're still here.

DH has been allowed out of quarantine today to go home to Son2 so it's just the two of us.

Really hope he'll be strong enough to get the treatment.

Van he have more pain relief?

I'm still here OP, sending you every good wish. I can't imagine what it must be like seeing your boy in pain. I hope the medics can give him more pain relief. You sound very strong, though I imagine you don't feel it at times. Take care, & know that people are thinking of you x

OP, I can't imagine the worry. So glad he is being treated and I have everything crossed for the treatment next week.
