Hi, gone through a seperation from partner and we have toddler together. I moved out of his property and into mine due to relationship failing. This involved a 25 miles and I didn't tell him about it in advance and as a result he's not happy and .is trying to see child as often as possible and pushing for more access. I currently allow him to seems on every weekends for 8 and overnight once a month. He has pushed forward with mediation and prevented me registering child at nursery.stating PR and saying he could care for child meaning moving towards shared care 50/50.As a result we are heading to court and I wanted to know how the court is likely to look at this, I filed a specific issues order and he counted, I will struggle not having son with me and my solicitor told me to claim DV. Thanks

I see two ways this can go:

  1. you pop on your steel pants accept that you ex is going to an involved father and go to work whilst your DC is with him
  2. you carry on in this ridiculous way, the court could then decide you are a poor influence and your ex ends up with the DC most of the time and you get limited contact. You would then be required to pay maintenance.

Time to pop those steel pants on and accept the discomfort I think.

Why should I pay?

Genuine question. Are you having trouble understanding the responses in this thread? Everything has been presented very clearly in numerous posts.

Why should I pay?

Because you would then be the non resident parent and non resident parents are required to pay maintenance towards the cost of keeping thier child.

You know this, you are either trolling or deliberatly being dense.

I am not trying to be snippy, or sneery or judgy when asking this.

OP, do you have learning difficulties? Something like dyslexia or another processing problem? It does seem that you are finding it very difficult to understand what people are saying on this thread. And understanding the basic arguments here.

You will be required to pay maintenance if your ex is awarded residence. There is absolutely nothing that suggests the court will not do this. You ar being deliberately obstructive at every turn and from what you say your ex is co-operative and reasonable. He is putting his son's needs first. You are not.

Why should I pay?

As the non-resident parent you'd be required to pay towards your child's upkeep.

You'd get money from the father if it was the other way round.

I assume you mean emotionally pay with time a part from your DC. If this is a case because you are a mother and what we do is suck it up because it is best for our DC.
I understand it hurts believe me I have been there I am 14 years in to sucking it up.

You keep saying it is wrong but you have had many many people explaining that it is not. Children need both parents and you are trying to stop this.

What about a childs right to have contact with both parents and its family members?
