I remember this- well done OP! They have to give you the money, how could they not?

Longdistance · 23/10/2020 13:16

Oh, I’m so pleased to read you have won 🎉 It serves them right. I’ve been following your story with it’s ups and downs.
If they don’t part with the money and you have the paperwork for the judgement, send debt collectors round.

HiHoHiHoBackToSchoolWeGo · 23/10/2020 13:17

Fantastic news. Well done!😁

dontdisturbmenow · 23/10/2020 13:38

Congratulations! You've approached the situation with a well levelled head rather than your heart, a great example for other posters.

MiddleClassMother · 23/10/2020 13:45

@reviera
Unfortunately there are lots of cases of companies who owe money in claims going insolvent, then setting up a new company with the same address, directors and team. I believe it's called Phoenix companies. Unfortunately it's legalHmm

FATEdestiny · 23/10/2020 13:49

This is fantastic news. Well done!

Great news OP, it's been such a slog, well done for sticking with it! If you're happy to, let us know how you go in receiving compensation, I'm curious about how the CF closing down one company and starting another will pan out!

PegasusReturns · 23/10/2020 13:57

Well done.

I wonder if this is the sort of thing your local paper might be interested in covering?

In this case it looks like the directors have used a very similar name for their new company. That is not legal and means they could be held personally liable for the debts of the original company.

Mylittlesandwich · 23/10/2020 14:15

OP I've been following this for months! In fact I'm pretty sure I was still pregnant when I started. I'm so so pleased she didn't get away with it!

MiddleClassMother · 23/10/2020 14:20
