I'm due in court tomorrow for attempting to pervert the course of justice.

It happened six months ago and I'm pleading guilty so no trial etc.

No previous and I'm a person "of good character". But my goodness I'm bloody petrified.

I probably won't sleep tonight and I'll I keep thinking about is my dd.

Hello all you lovely bunch

So I have an 8 month sentence suspended for two years. 3 months on tag with a curfew, 200 hours unpaid work.

Thank you all so much for your support xxx

Court could be anytime.

Iv spent hours waiting for people to appear who had been down as first.

HappyLife21 · 02/05/2019 11:41

At least you’re not in prison!

Ginkythefangedhellpigofdoom · 02/05/2019 11:41

Crosspost!

Glad it's all over for you!

Smellslikemiddleagespirit · 02/05/2019 11:42

So glad you avoided custody, OP.

Best wishes.

floraloctopus · 02/05/2019 11:42

Onwards and upwards now then OP. Glad it was good news for you, pain about the tag though - what does it mean for you?

I'd have sentenced you only to a course in recognising and escaping abusers TBH, but I'm glad that you didn't go to prison!

Oblomov19 · 02/05/2019 11:43

Glad. That's still quite a lot, tag I mean.

NitrousOxide · 02/05/2019 11:46

I’ve just read this whole thread and I welled up when I read you’ve not got a prison sentence.

I hope you feel OK with what you got, and that you can move forward now with your DP and DD. Flowers

SmokeAndBone · 02/05/2019 11:46

That still sounds tough, OP.
But I know for you the main thing is that your DD will have her mummy home tonight.
Wishing you all the best.

Seven78 · 02/05/2019 11:48

Good news from which you can move forward :)

goldenchicken · 02/05/2019 11:48

@WienerDiva

Sending hugs. xxx

Disfordarkchocolate · 02/05/2019 11:49

Good luck for the future sounds like a lesson learned x

AudacityOfHope · 02/05/2019 11:49

Glad you're going home! Still sounds more than you deserve to me, but it ain't jail Smile

FiremanKing · 02/05/2019 11:50

I’m glad the court ordeal is over and the punishment not as severe as it might have been.

Wishing you all the best for the future.

TheInvestigator · 02/05/2019 11:51

Oh, I'm so happy for you! Having dinner and bedtime cuddles with your daughter tonight will make having that tag seem like nothing!

Have you met with the community service folk yet? Are they putting you out with a team to do litter picking etc or are they putting you on a placement in a charity shop or similar? Usually for women who aren't a risk to anyone, they will place you into a charity shop and the managers of the shops do not openly judge you or treat you any differently from a normal volunteer (you just aren't allowed to work the till). The unpaid work really don't be bad and you don't need to go in there feeling at all embarrassed. Most of the other volunteers will be in the same boat as you and they sort of operate under a "don't ask, don't tell" rule so you won't even need to discuss what you did.

In a few months, this will all be completely behind you so make sure you leave it there. Don't drag this with you or let it define you. It's over.

Mummyoflittledragon · 02/05/2019 11:52

I’m sorry you have been given a sentence and so pleased you are going home today. Flowers 😁

donajimena · 02/05/2019 11:52

Oh the relief. Here's to a good nights sleep.

Sweetooth92 · 02/05/2019 11:54

Just RTFT and relieved to hear you didn’t get sent to prison. Whilst it’s a harsher than I expected result with the tag it could have been so much worse, Enjoy your afternoon and the relief of getting to be there for your daughter, have a glass or two with those who have been your greatest support ❤️ You deserve it. (& for gods sake don’t let this little incident haunt you-we all make mistakes when misled by manipulative people. You’ve paid the price & it’s done with, don’t inflict a sentence on yourself in guilt now). X

Derpess · 02/05/2019 11:54

The tag does seem harsh but at least you're not in prison.
I'm another one who welled up when I read your update.
Very busy of luck to you for the future x

UCOinanOCG · 02/05/2019 11:55

That's a good outcome. At least you will still be there for your DD and it sounds like your family are very supportive. Best wishes for the future.

ConstanzaAndSalieri · 02/05/2019 11:59

Rest of your life in front of you now. Onwards and upwards

notoafternoontea · 02/05/2019 11:59

Well done OP - I think you've more than served your debt to yourself and to society.

Very best of luck to you for the future.
