I’ve probably missed people out

to start off with something positive - this was a few yeshiva students response to antisemitism ❤️🕎

“Three Jewish college students from NJ were dancing at Denver International Airport. They said they were motivated to do this after the mass shooting in Australia: “We will not be scared or give in to the darkness, we will only add more and more light.” Happy Hanukkah!”

they’re playing my favourite zusha chanuka song, and one of them looks like DHs nephew who lives in America! Had to do a double take and check it wasn’t him!😆

I’m meeting with the police tomorrow to talk about local threads to the Jewish community. It was their idea. And the other member of the community who is attending suggested strongly we meet in a public place because she doesn’t want the police to know where she lives until she’gets a feel’ for how the officer we are meeting feels really about Jews.

Horrible to have to worry about police officers but totally understand that

That is truly mind-blowing in the worst possible way, PurpleThistle7. This woman should be nowhere near a primary school classroom in the UK or any other democratic secular country. Your poor son.

Sorry - got twitchy. Basically my son's teacher from last year is under investigation for indoctrinating children with Pro-Palestinian propaganda.

That is very scary, sorry you’re going through all this. I don’t know why this kind of thing doesn’t make the news. I think half the country still thinks the pro palestine movement is simply about caring about palestinian civilians. I don’t even know if yesterday’s vote will improve that, because the general understanding of what’s actually going on is so poor.
