Ok I have taken the bait because I think it's important we have somewhere to chat and decompress.

There is an awful lot of name changing going on and we must remember that although it should be, this is not a safe space. We are followed here and that is worth considering (especially if you don't want to be deleted)

I am grateful for all the love and support though and I thank each and every one of you. You are all stronger than you know. I wish I had something profound to say but I don't...: this will have to do!

Yes, yes I did!! But thankfully it seems others have an equally inappropriate sense of humour.

I'm not originally from the UK so my sense of humour is a bit more European at times, a bit more straightforward than British people might appreciate.

(My sense of humour is also not to my children's taste, but that's a different problem entirely!)

This made me snort. Thank you for your humour and to all you posters for your continued fortitude. I'm struggling to visit the boards often because people's wilful ignorance and / or fixed agenda is actually really distressing to me now. I feel so worn down by it. The parity of Israel and Russia, the acceptance of death threats against Eden Golan, the misuse of language (genocide, ethnic cleansing, etc.).

On the brighter side, go @YaMuvva for standing up for your allotment rights!

In the US, trespassing is a criminal offense and a potential civil one. If someone were using my land and wouldn't leave, the police would sort it. So the whole thing did seem a bit odd to me. 😁

In the UK trespassing was always a civil offence so trespassers could not be prosecuted. Not sure if it's changed recently, there was a bit of noise about it.

Since we're talking about allotments, trespassers should be mulched, much more environmental.....

Would that include trespassers at universities too, @quantumbutterfly ? Asking for a friend.

I heard on the local news that the NYU students who broke university rules during the protests are being subjected to very mild university disciplinary proceedings. So I've kicked the hornet's nest and posted a link on the thread in the Conflict in the Middle East board about the protests.

I expect a firehose of outrage directed at NYU and me, which should be quite amusing.

Oh no, am I missing out?? I don't have twitter so can only ever see whatever is on the link but not comments etc.

I don't have a twitter login but sometimes when you click on the creator's icon it reveals more of their feed.
