Seriously. Is it the same few people just name changing or is it really this toxic in the UK? There is so much poisonous Jewish hatred on here. I'm not talking hatred of Israel, just vile antisemitism on so many posts now.

I truly think I have to step away before I lose faith in humanity. Why does MN seem to attract so many hateful posters? Maybe it's the anonymity.

I can't keep calling it out. Im exhausted and actually deeply disturbed by it now.

Also on marches, the new-found love for Peston, because something something a good Jew now.

Crikey, I have just spent 10 mins on there. An O level, Mengele and Jesus all in the same paragraph- surreal and possibly one too many Baileys consumed yesterday night 🤯 Quite unhinged and for once I'm glad the posts are still there for all to see. They really do walk among us.

It was in an endlessly long paragraph about some of the people the poster in question had met in the course of his life, along with his whole uninteresting life story plus senior school qualifications. As for why - who knows?!?!

A quick and early Happy New Year from me to you all. Everyone here has been a rock to grab onto in the last few months of 2023. I have taken great comfort from seeing all you names pop up on these threads. Feeling that others get what I feel and see whilst looking at some posts is a big comfort.

Echo every word of this. A Happy New Year to all of you. After a pretty dark couple of months I can't even put into words how much comfort every single one of you has brought (well apart from a few interlopers that made it over here). So many decent, intelligent and very funny women on here.

Hi all. So I'm the OP. I started this thread at the end of October when I felt like I was drowning in vitriol. I took a decision to step back from posting on MN as it was all getting too much and it seemed that by responding I was just giving oxygen to some abhorrent anti-semites who were delighting in a pile on.

I've still been reading this thread (and reporting some hateful posts on the CITME board) and just want to say what an amazing bunch of people you are.

Long time lurker here - just wanted to express my respect and admiration for you all both non and fellow Jews. As a secular Jew and second-generation survivor I cannot tell you how much your support and willingness to take on the useful and not so useful idiots means to me.

I unfortunately am not mentally or emotionally able to participate in the Conflict board but am with you all in spirit.

How are you celebrating New Year’s Eve? Because it’s midnight here in Israel and Tel Aviv just spent it running to a bomb shelter. Huge barrage of rockets fired at 11.59 at Tel Aviv. My brother just messaged he can hear the booms from nearby areas.

I share the anger! How dare anyone call for a ceasefire whilst rockets are still being fired. If any other country would have to endure this bombardment, its citizens would be rallying for them to eradicate the source. And here we have the world expecting Israel to have more mercy on its enemies then on its own citizens. Its ludicrous!

The other day I was at a local park with my kids and I saw a paraglider above us. I just burst out crying. It was triggering just to see that in the sky reminding me of the clips of 7.10.
I can't imagine the trauma all of you in Israel must be living through right now.

I’m so angry right now 😡😡😡. I’m not home, but my WhatsApp groups for my area is now lighting up with people asking who else heard the booms, and I’ve messaged my husband to check he is awake and listening in case he has to wake the kids and run to shelter.
