BFP after IVF: 2025

Wondering if anyone else has had a BFN after IVF in the past few months? Guessing if so, most would be due October / November / December.

I just can’t get into the due month groups on the main pregnancy page as my headspace is so different after struggling with infertility back to back losses and IVF.

I’m 7weeks after 5AA transfer in February and have had 1 MMC and 2 ectopics. Due date is 11th November (if I make it that far). No children.

I went down to 1 a day at 12 weeks and stopped at 14 weeks

If it helps I stopped cold turkey at 12 weeks and despite my worry, all was fine!

@Alexm06 I stopped at 7 weeks! But I had leftovers so I went from 2 a day to 1 a day for a week, then I did every other day for another week so I actually took my last one at 9 weeks lol

@Xwx1010 i know you had nipt done so please may i ask which one you went for? So many options and they’re a bit overwhelming! Considering prenatalsafe but there is also panorama, SAFE, concepto etc etc… i kind of wanna rule out panorama because I’ve read it takes ages to come back but other than that i’m a bit clueless atm.

@Ivf4203 i didn’t have it in the end - I think a few did in the due november after loss thread though. X

Thanks guys!! I have enough for just over 12 weeks so I might take it normally till next Monday then go to one a day until I run out. My scan isn’t until thursday next week and I’m scared to fully stop until
then haha

Your body produces it naturally when pregnant, so will be fine.

@LincolnshireHollyhockYeah I have a scan on the 19th when I’m 12+3. Feels like bloody ages away though haha

@Alexm06 good luck, i hope it goes well, you are exactly two weeks ahead of me! I have my first midwife appointment on Friday which I’m looking forward to. I’ve read that it’s more of tickbox and answering loads of questions but to me it’s like a big milestone to see a midwife for the first time ever! Lol

@Ivf4203yeahh that’s pretty much what mine was. Although I cried a lot haha i just wanted some reassurance after having 3 miscarriages and didn’t get that from her. But yes I get that! It was my first one ever too!

@LincolnshireHollyhock I have a growth scan with foetal medicine on the 19th and then my private gender scan 20th. Just hope babies grown since last time 😭 I’ll be 16+1 by then

I’ve got my 16 week midwife’s appointment this afternoon and then I’ve booked a private scan for Saturday because I just want to check they are ok.

My car broke down and I missed my first appointment today with St. Thomas’ midwife. I’m panicking. I’m 9+4 today. No one is picking up on the given telephone number. I’m crying so much right now. I don’t know what to do.

@Ivf4203 did you get it sorted? Don’t panic they will just rebook it for you, these things happen!

@Xwx1010 yes i spoke to the matron who very kindly squeezed me into next weekend clinic. Sorry if my post was dramatic I was just so upset earlier as I was looking forward to that appointment!

If it makes you feel better all my midwife appointments have been really underwhelming 😂 I don’t think they do much for you until 3rd trimester / birth. They’ve basically just dipped my wee and tapped on the computer in 18w!

@Xwx1010 haha yes that’s what i’ve been reading too! It’s just that I feel like these midwife appointments are a reminder that my pregnancy is real so I was upset to have missed it. I’m usually very organised too and turn up 20mins early to any appointment! How are you this week? Hope the headaches are gone / better?

@Ivf4203 ah that makes sense, it’s disappointing and stressful for sure. aside from the scans the appts I’ve had with midwife and consultant are just going through motions so nothing important that can’t wait another week or so!
yes feeling fine this week but god the wait until the 20w scan is dragging so much, wish it was next week but it’s the following! Convinced I’m getting PGP so Im trying to get a support belt and if that doesn’t work I’ll be referred for physio.
it feels like I’ve pulled my vagina and groin! Which is mad because I’ve been taking it easy and not done anything + my bump is small!

@Ivf4203 thanks for the reassurance xx how bad is your pain? Is it constant or triggered by certain movements? Hope it eases soon and as you said be gentle on yourself! The wait for the next scan is a drag indeed… i do a daily countdown in my head and then on the actual day of scan I get super nervous lol

@Ivf4203 how are you feeling apart from today’s stress?
im fine when I’m resting but when I get from sitting to standing its like an aching sensation. Not overly painful but it’s just odd! It definitely tracks with symptoms of PGP but really hope it’s not as I can only imagine what I’ll be like further on!!

@Xwx1010 I had a private scan last week actually because I had five days when I was absolutely fine and not even sore boobs, didn’t feel pregnant at all so of course panicked. Relieved when I saw that my baby’s measurement has caught up and only 1 day behind compared to 3 days behind at my 7 week scan.
These days, I switch from feeling fine to fatigued + really terrible stomach cramps/very gassy (curling in bed level). Also weirdly feeling very hungry but didn’t wanna eat!

Good to hear the pain isn’t too bad, I hope it goes away very soon. Are you working currently?
