Anybody else starting or in middle of treatment?

Bit about my experience so far..
My last treatment was in december and had to come to a stop after finding a polyp during the scan. Have since removed the polylp and given the green light to go again. currently on estrodiol and due for a lining thickness scan next week. If all goes to plan I think the frozen transfer will be during 1st wk of april (Fingers X’ed!)

Sending you all positive and sticky vibes!

@jenk91 and @Foreverhoping33 AMAZING news!!! So happy for you both on your BFP! I’m sure you are both over the moon! 💕

fingers crossed yous have kicked off a string of BFPs🤞

@Lostmyusernametoday i think I’m def going to test now in the morning. Can’t believe I have actually held off this long. Last time was just awful seeing negative after negative and didn’t think I could cope it. You definitely have good symptoms so keeping my fingers crossed for you!

Kr0 · 02/05/2025 11:49

@jenk91 @Foreverhoping33 congratulations to you both that is brilliant news, so so happy for you

spamOFtheDAY · 02/05/2025 12:18

Congratulations BFPs! That’s brilliant
hope this is a lucky thread!
I have my transfer next Wednesday

not feeling too hopefully after 4 failed transfers (this will be the 6th embryo) and it’s a poor grade (3BC)

what grade did everyone else transfer?
x

Lostmyusernametoday · 02/05/2025 13:38

@Evi83 im so sorry about that it’s awful - once you’ve seen the positive test you can’t help but be hopeful. I really hope this one is sticky for you and isn’t a CP. My OTD is tomorrow and then Monday (my clinic asks for two).

@spamOFtheDAY my clinic isn’t too worried about grading - so I had 9 embryos 2 x 5AB (one is my daughter one failed to implant) 2 x 5BA both broke being defrosted, and now I have a tentative early BFP with 5BB. After this I have. 4BB, and then some others 4s and 3s so I was really worried when the broken ones broke and mentioned the grading of the remaining ones and they said they’re not concerned about that really and they’d only transfer an embryo with a good chance - so I reckon it’s still a good chance for you. Sending you loads of luck!

Lostmyusernametoday · 02/05/2025 13:40

@jenk91 and @Foreverhoping33 amazing news!! Thrilled for you!! What a lovely way to start a sunny bank holiday ❤️❤️❤️

Em916 · 02/05/2025 17:40

Congrats on all the BFPs! And fingers crossed for your scans.

I have had 3 scans since my positive test. 1 at the EPU as I had some spotting and convinced it was bad news and given my history (3 previous miscarriages) they did a scan. I was so shocked but very happy to see the heartbeat! 😆

I am 8 weeks today and now discharged from the clinic. Such a long and anxious wait now until 12 week scan. I have been throwing up all week a little and then lots last night which hoping is a good sign!

Anyone else at a similar stage?

Evi83 · 02/05/2025 18:16

@Em916 Thats wonderful news that you’ve been discharged and are now on the regular maternity service! 🎉 (sorry about the horrible sickness - but definitely must be a good sign!)
Seeing the heartbeat is soo magical, and hopefully means the chances of miscarriage going forward are much reduced. Hope you are being well looked after and wish you a happy and healthy pregnancy. 🤰🏻 👶

Evi83 · 02/05/2025 19:26

@spamOFtheDAY thats great you have your transfer booked. My daughter was a 4aa. I had a CP two cycles ago with a 3bb and I forgot to ask what the current one is, but from memory I think it’s either a 3bb/bc. So not top quality, but ditto what other poster said - my clinic aren’t that bothered by grading, and described it as ‘lovely’. When I researched it last time - %wise there wasn’t a massive difference in pregnancy succcess rates between middle and top graded embryos (and I think a 3bb is somewhere in between). Fingers crossed for you!

CleverGoldBalonz · 02/05/2025 21:54

Hi @Em916
Congratulations!!! I am 7 weeks today. Due to have my viability scan on Monday. It's definitely kept me on the edge, particularly seeing brown discharge triggered the panic button

I have started looking for a midwife and realized how bloody hard it is to find one particularly around the Christmas season! All the good ones are taking time off which is fair enough! Now I am on the waiting list for a hospital midwife. I was suggested I start looking for a midwife as soon as I got my postive, its crazy because your still waiting for your viability scan to make sure there is a baby in there!

Hi ladies, I'm new (and late) posting in this thread but had my first, and very last FET on Wednesday. I've been reading your replies and found them comforting during this 'challenging' time so thank you. Sorry for this long post, history incoming...

I'm now 42 and we've been trying for 5 years. I was misdiagnosed at the start of COVID with PCOS after stopping the pill, went through the referral and clomid treatment then they realised it was ultimately unexplained infertility on my side. I also have an underactive thyroid and another autoimmune disease but both are under control. After many delays we finally got NHS funding but our area only funds 1 round (1 egg collection, 1 transfer).

First egg collection last October retrieved 22 eggs, 16 fertilised but none made it to blast to freeze. So that was the end of the NHS round. So so disappointing as they don't really prepare you for that to happen and we felt like we didn't have a good crack at the whip!

We then funded another cycle, medicine tweaked to yield a better result... apparently. Egg collection was in January and retrieved 25 eggs of which 2 made it to the freezer. Yay! One step furtthan before. However, I ended up in hospital for 4 days with severe OHSS and once I was better I couldn't face anymore visits to the clinic, I am actually still traumatised by the OHSS today, so much so I will not do anymore egg collections. Full stop. I'm having counselling to help as this has impacted me in other ways more than I thought.

No surprise I asked for a natural cycle for my FET which was approved by the consultant as my cycles are like clockwork. Relief, no more injections!

Out of the 2 blasts, unfortunately only 1 made the thaw on Wednesday... And my OTD is 12th May. I will be testing on day 9 as it was a natural cycle we should have a reliable result by then. Finally, as I feel like my life has been at a crossroads for the past year. Anyone else?!

If I hear one more nurse say "it only takes one egg" I will probably scream with laughter after this rollercoaster experience 😂 if you've managed read this far thank you ❤️ And I wish all of you the best with your upcoming transfers 🤞🏻

Lostmyusernametoday · 02/05/2025 22:45

@Brownowl83 what a journey you’ve had - I so hope after all you’ve been through that this is the one for you ❤️.

OHSS is awful, I actually didn’t have it from egg retrieval so went straight into fresh cycle but by the time I was one week post transfer I was in hospital to try and drain fluid as I couldn’t breathe. I think it was slightly less traumatic because I was pregnant which softened the blow of it but nevertheless I wouldn’t wish it on anyone so I’m glad you’re getting support for that ❤️

Brownowl83 · 03/05/2025 08:16

Thank you @Lostmyusernametoday that bloat and difficulty breathing is absolutely no joke. I'm so glad you had a happy ending 😊

Am I right to assume a 9dpt will provide a good indication? What tests would people recommend using?

Evi83 · 03/05/2025 17:37

@Brownowl83 what a rollercoaster you’ve been on. Fingers crossed that this is the one magic embryo! Hope the wait for OTD isn’t too stressful….. 🙏🏻

Evi83 · 03/05/2025 17:40

Hope you don’t mind me posting pics of my testing madness. Today’s and yesterday’s frer, and a bunch of internet cheapies. The one at the bottom of the amazon ones is possibly lighted cos it was v diluted afternoon wee - but I’m paranoid that it’s actually just getting lighter. There is a general trend of darkening, but I’m not convinced on the frer. I think today’s is maybe a smidge lighter. Tomorrow is OTD. Terrified of another CP?? 🤪🤪🤪

Sara237 · 03/05/2025 19:46

@Evi83 I'm seeing a really consistent second line. And this close to your OTD, you're clearly pregnant! Believe me, I'll be exactly the same if I ever get the same results, in fact i was with my son, experience and trauma make you so cautious and you can't quite let yourself believe it - but it's so clear for you. Early congrats in order I'd say! Woo hoo 🎉

Evi83 · 03/05/2025 21:00

Thanks @Sara237 🙏🏻 I did have nausea today which I’m taking as a good sign (but I had it with last CP, so don’t think it means much other than I’m technically pg right now). I don’t think I’ll believe it until see a heart beat…. (And that’s a huge IF). Dreading looking at another test in the morning and seeing it lighter. Hopefully I can get bloods done on Tuesday and Thursday next week but that’s SO long away 😭 😭

Lostmyusernametoday · 03/05/2025 21:17

@Evi83 how many days post transfer are you? Those are a lot darker than my tests if that helps ❤️

Evi83 · 03/05/2025 21:39

@Lostmyusernametoday maybe it’s just the light. I’m 10dp5dt. Feel like they should be darker by now. Tomorrow is OTD. How about you? (Ps after tomorrow going to ask OH to remove all tests from the house!) 😶

jenk91 · 03/05/2025 23:14

@Evi83 I have no idea but those frer tests look pretty good to me!

are any of you guys having much cramping? I’ve been having some fairly bad cramping on and off but tonight’s it’s especially bad so I’m starting to worry. It’s nothing sharp but it’s like pretty strong period cramps off and on

Lostmyusernametoday · 03/05/2025 23:26

@Evi83 im 9dp and actually I stopped doing FRER so I’m on cheapies and I’d say my one today looks similar to yours yesterday and your progression is soooo good!! I feel good for you but I’ve never had a CP so I can’t comment of course but they look great ❤️

Foreverhoping33 · 04/05/2025 07:32

@jenk91 i am continuing to have the lower back pains if that’s what you are referring to. Choosing to believe it’s the embryo snuggling in deeper so they are here to stay for another 8 months. Hopefully yours are the same!

@Evi83 your tests look good to me! I understand the anxiety around a clinical pregnancy or not seeing a heartbeat at first scan (that’s what happened to me on our first ever transfer). But I think for now try and keep strong and remember today you are pregnant and those lines are definitely getting darker 💪. We gotta try and enjoy bits where we can and not let ivf take away all the joy! 😘😘

@Hopefulheart77 did you end up testing early or you holding out for tomorrow? Keeping my fingers crossed for you too! Xxxx

Evi83 · 04/05/2025 07:34

@Lostmyusernametoday thanks so much and fingers crossed for us both 🙏🏻

@jenk91 thanks 🙏🏻 I’ve had a bit of mild cramping, but I never get bad cramps for my period anyway - cramps definitely felt like my period was on the way. But I guess cramps can also mean implantation or things moving around…. Hopefully thats what yours is. Maybe your clinic can do bloods for you next week to make sure your HCG levels are going in the right direction/ give you some
peace of mind? x

Evi83 · 04/05/2025 07:36

@Foreverhoping33 Thank you! Everything crossed for everyone…. 🙏🏻 Hope the back ache is ok - you’re definitely right about aches and pains just being the little embryo nestling right in!

jenk91 · 04/05/2025 09:34

@Foreverhoping33 @Evi83 mine are like period is on its way but pretty strong, but not constantly, just the occasional wave and then they go. I also think it might be the progesterone for me, I remember years and years ago I was on the progesterone only pill and would wake up during the night in so much pain, so maybe a combination of that. But I think I will mention it to my clinic tomorrow when I report the positive test and see what they say.

i did do another test this morning and it’s a stronger positive than Friday so I guess that’s a good sign and like you say @Foreverhoping33 we have to enjoy the fact that right now, we are pregnant!

@Hopefulheart77 thinking of you and hoping for some good news for you! 💜💫

Hopefulheart77 · 04/05/2025 10:06

Hey @Foreverhoping33 and @jenk91 I did end up testing yesterday and unfortunately was a BFN. Took another test this morning and still nothing so I think I am out of this one. So disappointed cause I was having back pains and tiredness etc that I didn’t have with my fresh transfer, so really thought something was happening. I think we are going to give ourselves a break for a while. It’s been such a rollercoaster and don’t think I’m ready to put myself through it all again. Thank yous for all the support over the past few weeks, I’m so so happy for you gals! Hope everything goes well with your scans 💕💕
