Hiya. I’m due to start IVF in March and just wanted to find some people who were going through the same so we can support/ advise eachother! I’m 32 and have been trying to get pregnant for 8 years now and just wanted to meet some people in the same boat!

@Quaver9 yeah I think I’m being too enthusiastic with them haha 😂 but also since giving up fizzy/red bull/coffee I’m just having them as like a replacement lol 🤷🏼‍♀️ Exactly my thinking, we need to get little treats however we can during all this stress!
how are you getting on? Anymore spotting/cm or anything?

Quaver9 · 06/03/2025 07:15

@captainsmal I dug out the toastie maker and that certainly isn’t serving me meals full of antioxidants and what not 😂
no more spotting/blood, my tests look ok but it’s so hard to say. Just wish my clinic would do a blood test so we know either way but they always say ‘it’s not procedure to test for hcg unless you have a pregnancy of unknown location scan’ so I’m just in 3 weeks of anxiety limbo now until a scan 😢

good luck for your first scan next week, hope you get a good bunch of follicles x

ivfjourneyandme · 06/03/2025 07:17

Started meriofert (450iu) last night and MY GOD I feel so sick this morning. This cycle is hitting me so hard.

Last cycle I started on 350IU of ovaleap and went to max dose of 450iu and was fine.

Buselrin and meriofert = headaches, nausea, bruising, mood swings to name a few 😢

PrincessofLiechtenstein · 06/03/2025 07:39

Sorry to hear that @ivfjourneyandme it is a big whack of hormones. Hope it settles down for you.

I'm so ready for the weekend now. Just not feeling work this week!

captainsmal · 06/03/2025 07:50

@Quaver9 🤞🏻🤞🏻 maybe it was implantation bleeding? Or I also heard the progesterone pessaries can cause spotting. Good luck with the scan I hope it’s not too long of a wait for you!
@ivfjourneyandme oh no that sounds horrible bless you. Is it your first time on this one?

Kfish56 · 06/03/2025 08:53

Can anyone help. This is my 5th transfer. I’ve had one chemical pregnancy at 4.5 weeks and one at 3.5 weeks.
I am 7dp5dt and yesterday I started spotting brown and I’ve had lower back pain.
Tested yesterday and very very faint positive. Woke up this morning and tested straight away and tests were still very faint and digital came back not pregnant.
I did a cheapy with my SMU and came back stronger so did a digital and it came back positive. I am so confused and don’t know whether I am getting my hopes up to be let down. Anyone have any positive stories?

@Kfish56 that looks positive to me. Congratulations and 🤞🤞🤞that this one sticks for you. X

Thank you. The brown spotting and backpain is exactly how my chemical pregnancies started so im not feeling too positive. x

Quaver9 · 06/03/2025 09:17

@Kfish56 they all look positive to me. You’re only 7dpt too so time for them to progress. The bottom line with any bleeding is it’s either nothing or it’s something. Some people bleed and all ok, other bleed and it results in loss. I’ve spotted bright red and brown this week (9dpt and 11dpt) and all my losses started the same too so I can definitely relate.
I suppose all you can do is keep testing and checking out if the line progresses or starts to fade off. Fingers crossed for you xx

It’s so hard isn’t it! You put so much into this process and you think you’ll be so happy when you get a positive (which you are) but then other things happen that cause so much anxiety.
I really want a blood test but the clinic I go to won’t give me one and told me it’s unhealthy to test everyday which is super unhelpful.

Quaver9 · 06/03/2025 12:26

@Kfish56 it’s just constant anxiety limbo! A hcg test would tell us more but most clinics seem to not offer them - so instead we try and decipher daily urine tests which are just so inaccurate! I spoke to my hospital today and after some pushing they will keep me on progesterone longer, will take my bloods next week and scan me a week earlier than usual.
At least I have a bit of a plan but it won’t stop the daily tests 😂 I did say I’m going to end up ordering a home blood test from the internet at this rate so I think they just gave in 🤣

captainsmal · 06/03/2025 12:39

@Quaver9 thats some good news then that they’ve agreed to scan early and carry on with progesterone! 🤞🏻🤞🏻 it stays sticky for you

lemonwrighty · 06/03/2025 13:14

My meds arrived today.
Now I've got to wait for my period to show on the 23rd and then we're ready to go ☺️

captainsmal · 06/03/2025 15:45

@lemonwrighty exciting!!

Banksl92 · 06/03/2025 17:16

Hi just a quick one. I'm due to take my first gonal F injection at 6. Just reading the instructions and it says I should have alcohol wipes but I didn't receive any? Did anyone else get these? Should I buy some for next time?

OP posts:
ivfjourneyandme · 06/03/2025 17:45

@Banksl92 i don’t bother wiping my skin

LimeBird · 06/03/2025 17:53

@Banksl92 I've never been given these in my 3 rounds so far, I haven’t bought any either as assume the clinic would send them if essential. No problems so far. You could always pick some up for future but I wouldn’t worry about it for tonight.

Fab thank you. I didn't have them when I had my blood thinners after an op I had a few years ago so I thought it would be OK but just wanted to check x

I’m so glad that you have got a plan, at least that is something to focus on. I have everything crossed for you that your bean is snuggled in tight.
I don’t know what’s going on with me, I’ve had more brown bleeding today and now I’m getting clear EWCM.
I am trying to stay calm but the days are moving so slowly

captainsmal · 06/03/2025 18:10

@Banksl92 I didn’t get any with mine, I just ordered a box off Amazon it was only £3 or so and came next day, but I don’t think they’re essential. Although apparently some people use them to wipe the needles on the ones that are more stingy like menopur Ganirelix etc and it is meant to help it sting less so maybe you could grab some before you start the next type of injection?

@Kfish56 brown usually means old blood so maybe could be a bit of implantation bleeding that’s taken a while to make it’s way out? Everything crossed for you that yours has stuck too! 🤞🏻 the waiting must be horrible though

Hello, I hope you don't mind me jumping on this thread.
I'm 31, partner is 34. Been trying for 4 years. Have severe MFI (2.9million per ML, 3% morph and 19% motile). Plus on Tuesday, I found out my AMH is 2.6pmol which Im absolutely gutted about.
We have now been referred via the NHS to a fertility clinic in Nottingham and should hear from them soon.
I've just started CoQ10 again, along with a conception multi vitamin and Omega 3, as I'm aware I can't change my quantity, but hopefully can change the quality.
Wishing all of you lots of luck ❤️

RainbowFluff · 06/03/2025 19:41

@Kfish56 increased discharge can be a pregnancy sign so maybe it’s good news? I really hope so.

Thank you so much. I’ve had 2 chemicals and they’ve both started with the brown bleed so I’m not feeling to hopeful x

Still not very strong lines but they are getting darker. Still very cautious about the bleeding.

@Kfish56 looks like good progression. My lines are progressing too but I’m just not convinced with the red bleeding on Tuesday. I’ve had a tiny bit of brown since.
Nothing we can do but wait 😞 - hand hold to you x
