Hiya. I’m due to start IVF in March and just wanted to find some people who were going through the same so we can support/ advise eachother! I’m 32 and have been trying to get pregnant for 8 years now and just wanted to meet some people in the same boat!

Waiting is just the worst. My husband and I aren’t letting it be a positive thing as I had a slight rise in HCG after our chemical in August. Just hoping and praying for the both of us xxx

@ivfjourneyandme how are you getting on with stims? Still got the bad side effects today? Really feel for you 😮‍💨

I’m day 8 today and done injection number 11 this morning so even if I end up stimming an extra couple of days, officially halfway now! If follicles are big enough to trigger Monday it would be 18 jabs total, if not 22 total so either halfway or more through 🙏🏻 feeling very bloated and uncomfortable now but in good spirits and trying to think positively 🤞🏻

@captainsmal well done! I actually found stims easy - like enjoyed the fact I was progressing and collection around the corner! Good luck with you scan and let us know your EC date 🩷

@Quaver9 yeah I feel the same way, feels like I’m doing something proactive and not long now until EC etc! I’ll definitely update Monday after my scan 🤞🏻

Hi all, got my fertilisation update today, it wasn’t great news but there is some hope. One egg out of the 4 mature ones fertilised 😔 weirdly, the 5th immature egg actually matured in the lab, so they injected that one too and it has fertilised (but she cautioned me that these ones are less likely to be successful). So we are looking at 2 possible embryos. Day 5 update is Monday. Feeling a bit flat, as it’s my third round and results just get worse each time! I know I’m older (as everyone is each round!) but I thought maybe changes in protocol might improve things at least once 😢

@LimeBird fingers crossed the 1 or maybe 2 make it to day 5 and are all you need 🤞🏻 are you having a fresh or frozen transfer? (Sorry can’t remember if you said?)

Thank you @captainsmal , I’m having 3 cycles of egg collection with PGTA testing, then a frozen transfer (if we get any normal euploid embryos). This is cycle 2 of the 3 (I also had my only NHS full round last year). Keeping everything crossed 🤞🏼

@LimeBird ah that makes sense. You must be an expert by now! Yeah scan Monday morning 🤞🏻 little bit crampy this afternoon, think I overdid it at work a bit lol

@captainsmal I’m an expert in the Ovaleap pen haha but that’s about it as they keep switching my meds! And the egg collections keep keeping me guessing that’s for sure 🤪 but yeah, I feel more familiar with it than at first, I remember being so terrified of needles and overwhelmed! So if I can help anyone else I try to!
Hope you can rest tonight if you’ve overdone it! So hard to know the balance of activity vs. rest during stims!

@LimeBird it’s such a personal choice but I have been getting worse outcomes too so I’ve decided to have at least 3 months’ break (against clinic advice). I’ve been seeing a lot of natural fertility practitioners posting about how the high hormone levels in ivf can damage eggs. Looking for scientific research to back it up but not found any yet, but for me my first cycle was so much better before I started all the optimisation, supplements etc so it’s making me wonder.

@LimeBird what Ovaleap pen are you on? I've been prescribed 900 but not sure what dose on the pen. Getting meds delivered Wednesday so will see then

@RainbowFluff that’s an interesting point, it does make you wonder doesn’t it! Are you on a multi cycle package too?
I’ve just turned 41 so get so nervous about timings.
@Twofromanotherkind I was taking 450iu of Ovaleap which I think was the max dose on my pen, but I’m not sure if there are bigger dose pens!

@LimeBird what dose pen? I have been prescribed the 900 dose one

Just got a call from the lab, the 2 eggs which fertilised (one matured a day late in the lab, then fertilised) have been trying to divide. The late one has formed embryo but there is some fragmentation (which apparently isn’t good). The other one which fertilised on time has tried to divide but is fragmenting. They don’t know if it will form an embryo or just further fragment and not progress.

So just hoping one of them makes it to the end so this cycle hasn’t been for nothing! 😣

My one little embryo made it to Day 3 but there’s too much fragmentation that it’s stopped the cells dividing so that’s me out this cycle 😢 good luck everyone, wishing you all success this month ❤️

@PrincessofLiechtenstein yes that’s right, haven’t had an update on day 3 before but they offered one this time. I guess it may be day 2 for the late one. How are you getting on? X

Am I okay to join? I’ve already had a couple of failed transfers and AF started yesterday so will be having my baseline scan the week after next then transfer 6-7 days after that.

I haven’t read for everyone’s stories but good luck all xx

I'm good thanks. Starting to get a bit nervous about Monday but trying to distract myself with some shopping and the cinema.

It's nice to be out in the sunshine at least!
