Hiya. I’m due to start IVF in March and just wanted to find some people who were going through the same so we can support/ advise eachother! I’m 32 and have been trying to get pregnant for 8 years now and just wanted to meet some people in the same boat!

@expat321 did you have a trigger? If so how strong was it. You could test out the trigger if you did. Start testing now, watch it get lighter and then get darker again 🤞

expat321 · 29/03/2025 19:34

@spttc nope, I was on fully medicated cycle, no trigger.

Sal2910 · 30/03/2025 02:17

I’ve just had some brown discharge - and going crazy googling and just read about implantation bleeding but I transferred 7 days ago don’t know if it could be that 🤦‍♀️

lovelivelaugh64 · 30/03/2025 02:22

Hi all, my period is finally here. So happy. Waiting for our day 1/3 scan on Monday

captainsmal · 30/03/2025 07:58

@expat321 did you have a trigger shot? And if you did how long ago? It can take 10-14 days for the 10,000iu trigger to leave the system so I waited the full 14. Some people just test the trigger out

captainsmal · 30/03/2025 08:02

@expat321 sorry just seen previous replies. My internet is being weird lol. Was it a 3 day or a 5 day embryo?
mine was a 5 day and one week after transfer still only had a faint line (but visible to the naked eye not a squinter) but don’t know if I would have had lines any earlier as that was my first test 🤷🏼‍♀️

@Sal2910 brown means old blood so maybe you implanted a couple of days ago and it’s taken this time to work it’s way out? My clinic told me I might get bleeding 4-5 days after transfer but I never did. Maybe you just implanted late?

Miraclemuma03 · 30/03/2025 08:45

Wow massive update guys. Congratulations to those who got their bfp. Well done to those who are now pupo and in their 2ww. How exciting, so much positivity going around right now.. I am day 4 of puregon, today I have bloating and have had some cramps, yesterday I was in a bad mood. It's currently 5.40pm and I feel better, no more cramping but still bloated. Tomorrow I add in orgalutran. We wake at 4am to do the shots lol because we work around hubbies work hrs and unlike you amazing ladies, I am unable to do my own shots so rely on my partner .

OneQuirkyPanda · 30/03/2025 09:09

Just had a day 3 update from the clinic, we have two grade 1 8 cell embryos, he said they’re both looking perfect and he was quite confident these would turn into blasts, but obviously we can never be sure. We have one 2 cell embryo, that he said he thinks is unlikely to become a blast, but they will leave it to culture and see, then another embryo that has just stopped developing. Next update is Tuesday.

charja100 · 30/03/2025 10:02

@OneQuirkyPandacongrats on 2 strong embryos! Everything crossed to you that they turn into brilliant quality day 5 blasts! That’s good odds from 4 that they will. 🤞

@charja100 @LincolnshireHollyhock thank you, I’m a big ball of nerves as I know so much can change from day 3 to day 5. The embryologist was very positive, so I have to keep reminding myself of that.

captainsmal · 30/03/2025 11:01

@OneQuirkyPanda that sounds very positive! I don’t think they would give you false hope so if they sounded pleased about it it’s a good sign 🤞🏻

Well my final update I guess?? Today is OTD! I had a really strong positive on the cheapies and a good positive on a proper stick one this morning so officially told clinic! Really can’t thank everyone on this thread enough (and Feb one before this) for the support etc the last two months, it’s helped so much going through it with other people at the same time and getting advice etc! I feel so so lucky and blessed that it worked for us on the first try, we never knew what our issue was and we only had this one embryo so I’m so shocked and know how lucky we are that it’s worked 🤞🏻still got a long way to go, the wait for first scan will be nerve wracking but considering I’ve never even had an evap line before I’m just trying to enjoy this now one day at a time 😬

Congratulations - I’m very happy for you and your partner. You hit a huge milestone and it’s onwards and upwards from here.

Keep us updated on the journey - will you stay here or move to another thread?

I’m hoping for a positive test Wednesday to hopefully spread some more positvity.

This group is great for all of its support, no matter what.

captainsmal · 30/03/2025 11:45

@LincolnshireHollyhock I’ll keep checking here in case I can help with questions about meds, symptoms etc and see how everyone’s getting on but a couple of us are now on another ivf bfps thread too. Don’t want to go to the normal pregnancy ones though tbh still feels so weird when you’ve been through all the years of ttc and ivf etc so I’d rather stick to those who know how hard this journey is!

Timetotryagain · 30/03/2025 13:49

Morning all :) did my trigger shot last night and when i took the cap off a big bead of fluid spilled out of the top and now i am stressed that i didnt get all the medication :( it really was only a droplet but i am still stressed. My trigger was 6000iu hcg and i know some people trigger with 5000 iu so hopefully even thst drop missing wont make a difference

@OneQuirkyPanda good news about your 2 emrbyos :( has your period arrived?

Hope all the bfps stick around as i like to know how you get on haha! We are doing pgt testing so we wont be transfering this month

captainsmal · 30/03/2025 15:44

@Timetotryagain don’t worry, I lost a few drops of mine and didn’t make a difference! Good luck for EC

I’m sure it will be okay! It’s hard to get all the medication in and get rid of the air bubbles without it losing some we found.

No still no period! Day 8 of spotting and three days late and still nothing, lots of period symptoms, but no actual period :(

Timetotryagain · 30/03/2025 16:51

@captainsmal oh that makes me feel better!!! Did you drink electrolyte drinks or anything like that to prevent ohss?

@OneQuirkyPanda ahhh thats so annoying! I have had a few periods like that were it takes aaaaaaaaages to start. So frustrating! Hows your wife feeling a few days after her retrieval?

OneQuirkyPanda · 30/03/2025 16:53

@Timetotryagain it’s weird because I am always bang on 28 days, never late, I wonder if it’s from the Estradiol and norethisterone, or maybe just stress.

She’s doing great thank you, only took her a day to recover and she’s feeling back to normal.

captainsmal · 30/03/2025 18:05

@Timetotryagain I drank at least 1 litre of electrolytes a day during stims and 2 litres normal water, after EC tried to go more electrolytes less normal water. I wasn’t at too much of a risk though tbh doing mild ivf and only getting 8 eggs. The constipation after EC was bad though! So had fybogel twice a day and lots of foods to help with that

Congratulations when did you test from? Or did you wait till OTD?

captainsmal · 30/03/2025 18:11

@Twofromanotherkind it was 7dp5dt in the evening so 14 days after trigger, I originally planned to wait til otd but I had such bad period pains that day I convinced myself AF was coming (even though it wouldn’t have on progesterone anyway!) and wanted to just get the disappointment over with… that second line was a shock lol

expat321 · 30/03/2025 18:24

@captainsmal it was a 5 day transfer but I'm only 2dp5dt so there shouldn't be a line anyway, but I'm literally going insane - I've POAS on 6 pregnancy tests and obviously all have been BFN.

When can I expect to start seeing faint lines if I'm pregnant?!

I would try to wait but doubt I would tbh must be so hard. Do you not get periods on progesterone?
