Hiya. I’m due to start IVF in March and just wanted to find some people who were going through the same so we can support/ advise eachother! I’m 32 and have been trying to get pregnant for 8 years now and just wanted to meet some people in the same boat!

It was fine thanks but getting side effects already stomach cramps and feeling tired!! Didn’t expect to get side effects so soon but I suppose I’m on a slightly higher dose maybe. Exciting for your egg collection! Mine is provisionally booked for wed 9th April

So I’ve just been at the hairdressers and was asked if I was okay because I’ve got a chin full of spots/rash. I just laughed and said oh you know what I’m like- a hormonal Annie! 😂😂 Well it’s not a lie because I am pumping all these hormones into me. It is starting to wear me down. Anyone else feeling like this?

Anyway, the hairdressers has diagnosed me with having a rash from my husband’s beard so I stuck with that as a story. I’ve not told anyone apart from my boss that we’re going through this so feel like I’m living a lie at the minute. Trying to protect myself though against other people’s thoughts/questions.

@Twofromanotherkind glad it went okay! After all the fuss i was making before doing it, after i was like oh that was fine haha. I havent had much side effects thankfully apart from a bit emotional (not new haha) and then when i added in the ovamex i got headaches and now i feel bloated and a bit full close to egg collection

@SlinkMcSlink we are the same have only told a handful as i cba with updating people at each stage and most people are "so excited" you are doing ivf and i am sick of having to play it down etc

@Timetotryagain good luck with the collections ! Ahh I know exactly how you feel I was so relieved too , more more injections but so bloated and uncomfortable yikes

I have the first response kit , I’m too tempted to try now but perhaps should wait till the morning first pee

Ah that’s not too bad!! Add diarrhoea to the list as well! God this is only day 1 🤦‍♀️

I’ve bought a cheap test from B&M.,. I’m over-thinking this far to much….

Cheap test done….(has put a sensitive marker on it)…

So that's 12dpo? 1st Response tests were always the best for me in finding a line early. Not sure if you've tried one of those.

I guess it also depends on the length of your cycle? So for me it would probably show up by now because my cycle is 28 days regular bang-on, but might be different for someone with a longer cycle? I dunno. I'm just speculating.

@LincolnshireHollyhock yayyyy! Congrats!! All these positives are giving me positive vibes for next week. Btw it might be my last non pregnant weekend. What should I do. I might book a deep tissue massage 💯🤩

@expat321 yes my cycle is quite regular as well but shorter 24/25 days ; I might test tonight on first response

@LincolnshireHollyhock congrats!! I know what you mean though. I keep having this random fear I’ve imagined the whole thing and DH/family will be like “pregnancy? What pregnancy” lol

Wednesday 19th we had the transfer - only had 6mm lining which has been a worry.

@LincolnshireHollyhock mine was Monday 17th so you’re only a couple of days behind me!

I ended up doing a first response in the end but still negative ; I think I still stand a chance so I’m okay , I’ll give it at least a couple of days before I test again

Ahhh nice. This is our first IVF attempt after many years of trying - “unexplained health issues”..

how you feeling about tomorrow?

@Timetotryagain we get a day 3 update tomorrow morning, their plan is if one of the embryos is developing well and much better than the others they will freeze it tomorrow. So hoping that’s the news we get!

I’m still waiting for my period though, been spotting and having cramps since last Saturday, been very bloated and having mood swings, but so far no period, I’m now two days late and the spotting has completely stopped, so not sure what’s happening. I wonder if it’s because of the norethisterone I took to delay my last period, or the Estradiol I took at the beginning of this cycle when they were trying to synchronise me with my wife for a fresh transfer.

@LincolnshireHollyhock thats the same as me, first round of ivf after 9 and a half years trying. Unexplained as well! I can’t wait for tomorrow tbh so I can actually tell the clinic and get the ball rolling on booking scans etc, need to order more cyclogest too but couldn’t ask them otherwise they’d know I tested early 😅
@Sal2910 definitely try again in a couple of days, it may just be too early 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Someone please stop me from booking a doctors appointment and booking a blood test to test my beta HcG to see if it's above normal 🫣
