Hiya. I’m due to start IVF in March and just wanted to find some people who were going through the same so we can support/ advise eachother! I’m 32 and have been trying to get pregnant for 8 years now and just wanted to meet some people in the same boat!

@Twofromanotherkindi am in the same situation as you. I just want to start but no sign of period unfortunately

@Twofromanotherkind I know that feeling, we are doing a FET and I’ve been spotting since Saturday, but no actual period yet, every day I’ve been thinking today will be the day, but just more spotting! I found the waiting around and uncertainty the hardest part of this whole process.

How late are you? Now I’m thinking probably won’t get it for ages fml

Yep I just want to start so badly it’s just so uncertain and stupidly I thought I would be able to do egg collection when on leave but that won’t happen now.

@Twofromanotherkind almost a week, I hate it. But I do have irregular periods, I just want to start already

Yes we had it all planned out nicely, annual leave booked then it’s been nothing but bad news, delays and setbacks ever since last year. I just expected it naively to be so much easier than it has been.

I know it sounds stupid but I had all these ideas of being pregnant by certain dates and events, like Christmas, my dad’s birthday, Mother’s Day, my cousin’s wedding etc and with each date coming and going I get more down about it and feel like it will never happen. We started our journey last August (after saving for years as there is no funding for same sex couples in our area) and we are now almost in April and finally have our first (and hopefully last) egg collection booked for tomorrow.

I’m grateful we are able to do this, but finding it much harder than I thought.

omg me too I feel like I’m spiralling a bit but glad it’s not just me that feels like that

@Banksl92 I was the same one moment convinced then was sure it hasn’t worked! Actually the only reason I tested Monday was I was SO convinced it hadn’t worked cos I had quite bad AF type pains and cramps all day it felt like I was about to come on! Was so shocked when I saw that second line 😅 I’ve still got them today coming and going and keep rushing to toilet to make sure there’s no 🩸 😱 apparently it’s all normal cyclogest side effects/growing uterus etc.

Well today I haven’t sat down. Work has been crazy as usual. Bit panicky now in case I’ve overdone it but what will be will be.

@SlinkMcSlink dont worry I dragged a heavy suitcase up my hill (like 45 degrees so steep!) to get home after my ET and then did loads of stuff at work last week! When’s test day?

I read that studies have shown walking an increases the chance of success, our clinic advises against resting and says to go back to normal activities as soon as you feel ready, so I think if anything you have boosted your chances!

Hi all, are you all having acupuncture treatments?

I’ve never had it before but I’ve been told it increases your chances of success. Not sure if I should get it

I had the opposite issue, we planned for a late period but it came early so had to rush around with a plan and organise my meds, I thought we were going to miss this cycle but we have scraped in.

This is looking great on these cheapie tests. How exciting.

Have been to the clinic this morning, had my first shot in clinic. Ahhh it has begun!! I just couldn't stop kissing and thanking my husband for going along with my craziness to do this again and for making it happen. I'm so very grateful and so happy.

Thought I'd update quickly . Here in Queensland Australia its still morning so when I send these updates it's at 11.40am on the 27/3 . We are currently heading home.

Not really much advice. Though I must say while going through these ivf cycles you must give yourself some grace, find times to enjoy yourself and love your partner and do things together and talk about things that doesn't involve ivf.

I am but no idea if it is helping and it’s so expensive!!

AF has arrived!! So happy here we go!!
