Hiya. I’m due to start IVF in March and just wanted to find some people who were going through the same so we can support/ advise eachother! I’m 32 and have been trying to get pregnant for 8 years now and just wanted to meet some people in the same boat!

I’m just all gowned up now waiting to go sat on the hospital bed. Signed all paperwork. Just waiting to go down for sedation (I have complications and it’s uncomfortable without this). So myself and my husband never see the actual transfer.

Hi all, it’s so nice to hear all your positive stories.
I am patiently waiting for my period to start so I can start stims. First time ever I want my period to start and there’s no sign of it.

@lovelivelaugh63 this was like me 7 days ago haha. My period was 2 days late and i was like ffs come on!! Haha

the wait is killing me lol I’m only 3 days post 5 day transfer ; so tempted to test this weekend rather than wait till the 3rd

I don’t think I’m going to fully believe it til otd which is this Sunday but I’m pretty happy with line progression today! 🤞🏻🤞🏻 I don’t know if I would’ve got a line any earlier if I’d tested before but mine was 7dp5dt so if you wait til the weekend it could show up! Did you have a trigger shot?

@captainsmal yes I had the trigger shot on the 15th … I will be 7dp5dt on the weekend so I’ll wait for then but like your will wait until the day to do it again:)

I forgot my morning Progesterone dose this morning ! Just took it at 1130am rather than my usual 830am, so annoying

Waiting to hear about ultrasound date @Timetotryagainbut they said 3-4 weeks which seems ages away!

@SlinkMcSlink hope everything went well, I’ve opted for sedation too as I struggle with smears due to endo.

My wife is doing her trigger tonight at 10pm ready for egg collection Thursday, she told me she can’t wait to get the eggs out now as her stomach has ballooned in the last two days. Hoping that means lots of follicle growth since her last scan

@OneQuirkyPanda bless her. Towards the end it's so uncomfortable- constantly bloated etc. hope all goes well for Thursday!

@OneQuirkyPanda oh good that she is triggering! I am not uncomfortable yet so not looking forward to the baloon stage haha! How many days as she been doing stims for/ what cycle day is it?

@Timetotryagain she is on cycle day 13 today, she was doing fine with very minimal bloating up until day 11 then she just seemed to balloon over the course of the day and is getting lots of discharge, which I think is due to the estrogen the follicles produce? Really hoping this means her follicles have grown a lot since her last scan!

Thanks everyone. I’ve been sleeping/resting. To be honest I don’t feel any different so not sure what to make of that? I started to get a sore chest/cough last night and croaky voice but managed to keep quiet today as I didn’t want a doctor to hear me and say that I wasn’t fit for transfer (bad I know!)

Back in work tomorrow until Friday so at least that will keep me busy. Thinking of everyone this weekend being Mother’s Day. In my head, I’m a Mother until proven otherwise on test day. Xx

@SlinkMcSlink so glad your feeling 9k after transfer. Not really sure if your suppose to feel different, I never did, maybe about 2hrs to 4 hrs after transfer I get a bit crampy.

@PrincessofLiechtenstein how are you going now. How many dpt are you now.? Do you get blood tests to confirm or just a hpt on otd ? It's so different from country to country. Or even place to place .

I don’t think I felt much different to be honest. I had one sharp twinge on 2dpt and a bit of cramping 4dpt but everything else I think was the progesterone.

I’m 16dpt now @Miraclemuma03no bloods from my clinic so just waiting for them to call me and arrange a scan date which they said would be 3-4 weeks. Feels like forever!

3rd test this morning and still all positive and I can see definite line progression now so I’m really hopeful! Period would be due today if this was a normal pregnancy. Otd isn’t for another 4 days though.

Annoying isn’t it like if this was a natural pregnancy I’d just be like “oh I’ve missed my period, do a test, there’s a line even if it’s faint I must be pregnant” whereas ivf makes you question everything! I’m going to keep doing these cheap ones every day til Sunday to see progression then I might get a digital for otd or something. I’ve attached the image but hidden it as may be TW for some. (Hope I did it right!)

That looks like great progression. I completely agree it just steals all the joy and hope from a positive but I keep trying to remember that the chances don’t change because you’ve had ivf. It is just a normal pregnancy now.

There is a little BFP Nov/Dec thread going if you feel ready to come over and join? There are only two of us at the moment but I really hope there will be loads more coming from this thread.

I'm still friendly with my Jan '18 babies (although 50% born in Dec '17 like mine lol) group on Facebook and have made real life friends through that.

@PrincessofLiechtenstein ooh I will have a look and maybe come over on Sunday on otd! I’m due 3/12 atm but may be November if it comes early 😬 I have an early December birthday so might be late and be a birthday present to myself 😅

I had 25 follicles today, Egg collection provisionally planned for Monday, just need them to grow slightly more. One is already big enough (19mm) so we will probably lose that one when the others get to the right size

Congratulations that is great news! I’m 5dpt today. I’ve had so many cramps/ twinges odd pains coming and going the last 2 days or so. Monday evening I felt really crampy and uncomfortable but it seems to have improved since then. Just so many different twinges etc. one minute I’m convincing myself it’s good signs the next I’m convinced it means it’s failed to implant. I’m meant to test on 2/4 but I’m really tempted to test Saturday (7dpt). Thankfully I’m away at the moment so have no tests on me!
