Hiya. I’m due to start IVF in March and just wanted to find some people who were going through the same so we can support/ advise eachother! I’m 32 and have been trying to get pregnant for 8 years now and just wanted to meet some people in the same boat!

I was meant to start IVF next week but it has now been delayed for about 4 months as my updated smear test results come back with abnormal cells so I now have to have treatment within 2 months and another 2 months to wait for results before my clinic can start treatment (going through the NHS)
I’m very gutted as I had my medication delivered but at the same time it’s a huge weight off my shoulders as I’m in the process of moving home next month.
I’m also going to use this opportunity to eat strictly to help with my egg quality so they are top quality.

I have a progress scan tomorrow to see how my follicles are getting on and to find out when to trigger. Day 31 of injections tonight 👀

@ivfjourneyandme hope your scan goes well, been thinking of you. 31 days 😭 hopefully it will be worth it!

@captainsmal its been one hell of a long cycle! My previous short cycle seems like minutes in comparison. Here’s hoping for some fertilisation this time 🌟

sorry to hear about your delay @lemonwrightyit is so frustrating. Especially when you were so close to starting. Hope everything is ok with you smear.

@Miraclemuma03wow a two hour drive to the clinic is really difficult. It must add a lot of extra complication and stress to an already stressful process. You are right though you have got this!

So, I just got back from EC today, and I'm happy to report that we got 20 eggs -- it's more than double of whay we got during the first treatment cycle. Given my high response to the stims, they recommended a freeze-all protocol for me due to OHSS risk.

I'll hear back from the embryologist tomorrow morning to get updates. Keeping all my fingers and toes crossed that we'll have a good number of fertilised eggs suitable for freezing.

Not good news 😭 she reckons I’ll have to trigger toniggt as two ready and if leave it too long I’ll lose them. Got 2 good (20mm) and 2 medium (just over 12mm) but the 2 medium may not grow in time. So may just be two

That's great! I also got 20 in my most recent EC. 18 of those were mature.

My AMH is 6.455 though. It's my DH that's the issue - terrible morphology 🫣

Had my day 5 update just now- got one good quality blastocyst that I’m literally in the car on the way to transfer 😬😬 and two that might develop on day 6 so they will let me know tomorrow whether they are good enough to freeze 🤞🏻🤞🏻
Had no sleep and been so nervous all morning so god knows how I will cope with 2ww after today tbh!

Heya just had my EC. All went well and I’m back home. 7 eggs retrieved. They have just called and said they are having to do ICSI which we weren't expecting. Feeling quite down about the amount of eggs and the chances of getting to day 5 but I guess now the waiting games begin.

Great numbers @SunshineCorazon24i hope you get good fertilisation news today. How did they change your protocol to get that difference in numbers?

@Banksl92 I only had 8 eggs retrieved, they might be really good quality! Icsi will give a better chance hopefully so 🤞🏻🤞🏻

I’m in clinic waiting for ET in twenty mins and just found out my otd is Mother’s Day?! So no pressure… 🙄🙄

Thanks guys, all out and done! Barely felt anything except the scan thing pressing on my bladder obviously… although I was laying on the table with legs in the air and the speculum shot out of me onto the floor, almost hit the dr in the face 🤣🤣 omg so embarrassing but hilarious. Like they said it shows I have good pelvic floor muscles?! Haha. I guess if I’m successful it’s a funny story to tell the kid when it’s older?

FFS my periods a day late. The one time i eant it RIGHT NOW haha

@Timetotryagain got two that aren’t quite blast but may develop into day 6 blasts so they will freeze tomorrow. So either 3/5 fertilised will make it to blast or maybe just this one inside me 😬🤞🏻 I wont mind if this one implants and keeps growing 😅 be good to have a backup though

hopefully your period comes soon btw, when I was trying to make mine come on time I googled all the tricks to bring one on and tbf it did work a bit 😅

What do you think worked to bring your period? I’m curious

@Twofromanotherkind so it was kinda the same as when people want to go into labour? So spicy food etc, also I read ginger so I tried that in herbal teas but not gonna lie the one that I think did the trick was orgasms 😂 basically contracts the uterus 🤷🏼‍♀️
