Hiya. I’m due to start IVF in March and just wanted to find some people who were going through the same so we can support/ advise eachother! I’m 32 and have been trying to get pregnant for 8 years now and just wanted to meet some people in the same boat!

@Timetotryagain i had to leave air bubbles in all my stims the only one I had to get rid of was the trigger shot as I’d drawn it up myself

I had our fertilisation call a couple of hours ago! 😬😬
So out of 8 eggs collected
6 mature
5 have fertilised overnight with icsi!
really happy with that 😃
My clinic does “do not disturb” so I won’t get a day 3 update, they will leave them alone now until Monday morning when they will see how many make it to day 5 and then call me in the morning before I leave for my fresh transfer so 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻 I think average is 30-50% make it to day 5 so I’m hoping for at least one to try Monday and a spare if the transfer doesn’t work out 🤞🏻🤞🏻
Going to try and chill out a bit now until Monday. Started cyclogest last night and feeling fine after EC today, just the wind/gas pains a little bit again lol

@RainbowFluff thank you! I’m happy with 5 I think that’s a good chance for at least one or two to make it to day 5 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Funnily enough after 3 months of improved diet, less alcohol, caffeine etc, and the Impryl (which cost so much!) DH sperm yesterday was waaaaaay worse than his previous sample! He did have a little bit of a cold last week which they said could affect it but he actually went down from 31mil to 6mil yesterday! And morphology only improved from 1% to 2% so I’m not sure anything we did for him was worth it tbh lol. But obviously we only needed a few for my 6 mature eggs so it didn’t matter much in the end. Zymot should’ve weeded out any bad dna fragmentation so hopefully they’ll be good quality embies for us Monday.

Everything is xd you get a few embryos to be able to transfer and put on ice for a later date.

Hey guys. I just had another scan and booked for my EC on Monday. Feel a bit tearful though as they said I only have 6 follicles and they may not be able to take any from my left ovary as it is so ‘high up’. I was just expecting a lot more and it’s left me feeling a bit down about the whole thing

Not sure if this was discussed before I joined the thread but will you be under GA or sedation only?

Morning ladies

Just had my scan - day 29 of busrelin and day 10 of Meriofert.

5 decent size follicles (around 16mm I think) and a few smaller

Another scan will likely be booked for Monday to get more growth so possible EC Wednesday.

So tearful, I don’t know why. My AMH is 1.9pmol so I’m lucky to get 4 eggs last time but I can’t help shake the feeling that we’ll have total failed fertilisation again. Nothing prepares you to hear after all the drugs and sedation and mental drain, that not even 1 egg fertilised 😢

@Banksl92 stay positive. They may be really good quality eggs. 6 is still a good number. Quality over quantity they say plus by the time you go for egg retrieval more may have matured. Good luck .

Your feelings are completely valid.

Heartbreaking to put your body through so much and get nothing.

Remember you're also tearful because you have a million artificial hormones being pumped around your body xx it's completely normal to feel so many emotions at once and cry at the drop of a hat!

I often get upset at the long term damage I've done given 3 EC and several transfers in the past. I've wiped years off my natural menstrual life but I wasn't one of the lucky ones to fall pregnant naturally so that's the price I had to pay I guess.

Myself and my wife are hoping to do reciprocal IVF with donor sperm, using her eggs as I have barely any (AMH 3.1 and AFC 10) due to endo, and implanting the embryo in me. She has very good AMH and AFC, however, sadly the last cycle was cancelled on day 5 of stims due to uneven follicle growth and a dominant follicle.

Her period began yesterday over two weeks late following taking one day of Provera (I assume it’s just a coincidence) so we are anxiously awaiting a day 2 scan which should be tomorrow if the clinic can fit us in before she starts stims again.

We started our IVF journey August last year, we have had so many delays, delays with donor sperm, our beloved dog passing away unexpectedly in November resulting in hefty vet bills and the last cancelled cycle and then delayed period, so we are really hoping we get the go ahead this time! Xx

Hi everyone! Had my baseline scan today and due to start the stims on Monday! Nervous but excited. Mostly nervous for the egg collection - I've had sedation or anything like it before!
I have PCOS so I am on a lower dose to start.

I got my PGT results!

Out of 9 embryos, 4 are genetically viable.

We do not live in the UK, so we were also told the sex of the embryos: 3 female and 1 male.

Frozen transfer hopefully in 2 weeks' time.
