Hi, I'm currently 3dp5dt (round #2) TTC child #2 at 39yrs

Already feel like it's been 3 weeks not 3 days!

OTD 21st December

Anyone with me?!

Morning everyone.
So 13dp5dt and OTD for me today. Still have a line and it does look like it is still progressing. Two strips are from this morning. Boots was from last night. What do you all think?

I'm not getting lines anywhere near as dark as some others on here.. which does cause me some worry. But I guess I'm not out yet. I had some spotting yesterday and have this on off pain in my left so I'm cautious. On my way for private blood test.

Hi @charja100 my OTD line was lighter than my tests I had taken a few days earlier. And that was FMU, previously I had tested in the afternoon. I was convinced it was a chemical, so I also had bloods taken which confirmed a positive test and the numbers also doubled.

Your lines look quite strong to me so it does look like a good sign but I understand wanting to be cautious x

@charja100 Yours are about the same, if a bit darker than my OTD tests - I really would consider them a positive and see how it’s looking in a couple of days. Is it pain you’re feeling or just kind of crampy pulling feelings?

Thank you @SAbs86 and @Triselly for your replies yesterday. They really helped me. So I l had private bloods taken yesterday at 13dp5dt. They have come back as 157iu/l.

Everything I've read signifies this is vey low and implies that I should keep protecting my heart... a couple of clinical studies and remembryo guy share my odds of live birth are 4 - 28%.

would anyone who's had bloods be happy to share their results with me please? My clinic has scheduled me for bloods with them tomorrow too so should be able to get the rise and assess.

@charja100 sorry they were lower than you wanted. You might be part of that 28% though.

Mine were 341 on 14dp5dt. I didn't have repeat bloods as my clinic only do repeats if it's under 200.

I haven't taken any more tests as know I will obsess.

Hopefully you will see a rise tomorrow.

Hey @charja100, I completely understand the desire to protect your heart and hope you’re doing ok today. My bloods were 120 at 11dp5dt, so not far away from everyone else’s here, including yours. I emailed my clinic as like you I was worried when everyone else seemed to be at least double mine but the nurse said that mine wasn’t very low and to try not to worry. Obviously this is impossible.

They do say that all pregnancies are different, and that the rate that the hcg is increasing is far more important than the actual number. For my first blood test for my ectopic it came back as 5 on 11dp3dt, if that is any help as an example of a number that is definitely going wrong.

But right now, all signs are suggesting that your little one is alive and well. I am trying to stick by the mantra that if I don’t have any worrying signs, I should try not to worry as there is more evidence that everything is going right than going wrong xxx

2nd beta 15dp5dt - 567

This roller coaster ride continues. I just burst into tears in the phone to the poor nurse. Going in for third beta (second with them) on Monday morning.

@charja100 that's more than doubled 😊 really pleased you got this result, fingers crossed that it continues to progress as it should! This roller coaster of IVF is absolutely brutal.

Thank you @CakePigeon30. I really was in shock. I had prepared myself for the worst think. This left side pain is still making me uncomfortable that the high rise could indicate ectopic. But I'm so pleased today and I'm going with it.

@charja100 so please for you. Fingers crossed for Monday.

I have my scan on Monday and sooo nervous. Haven't got any symptoms apart from cramping!

@CakePigeon30 I have my scan on Monday too, super nervous as well. I had light spotting a couple of weeks ago every other day, and then a low fever over Christmas so even more nervous.

@SAbs86 are you still on progesterone? I've heard that can cause spotting. Good luck for Monday. Mines not till late afternoon so will have a full day of work to get through first!

Yes still on progesterone. Never had spotting with it before though. Mine is in the late afternoon too hope the day goes quickly!

@SAbs86 I read something that said up to 80% of pregnant women experience spotting, it is a very common symptom and usually isn't indicative of anything going wrong xx

@charja100 that's fantastic! Wow what an increase - I really think that sounds like a very good sign! Ectopics usually don't double every 48 - 72 hours and are accompanied by bleeding and pain when using the toilet, if that's any reassurance xx

@Triselly I couldn't believe the increase and I was so relieved and almost relaxed this morning. This afternoon these cramps have definitely gotten stronger. Nurse at clinic asked if I'd bled again as you say, that can be a telltale sign. I haven't so that's good. She told me to take paracetamol and that it was likely too soon to feel pain from an ectopic so trying to relax, but this pain is quite high and not in my uterus like period cramps so i am worried as it hasn't gone with the paracetamol.

Sorry everyone I know i must seem like a right crack pot.

@SAbs86 I started spotting too last night, couldn’t sleep all night for worrying. I’m not in any pain though, just pressure sort of feeling like things are moving around. Just got to wait and see if it gets heavier I guess. How is yours going? That is reassuring that your clinic wasn’t concerned though xx

@charja100 you definitely don’t seem like a crack pot, it’s so insanely stressful and it’s impossible not to dissolve into panic any time you sense anything slightly unusual!

My next appointment is with my Dr on the 8th, and then a private early scan on the 13th, but I am not sure I will get that far as started light spotting last night and I just feel like when you add this on top of all the other not ideal factors, it just doesn’t look good. I bugged my Dr into checking my thyroid earlier in the week and I was correct, it is too low right now. I hope we got there in time but there is an association with miscarriage.

@Triselly mine was the same I didn't have any pain and it was very light. I read so many threads on light spotting in pregnancy and it's super common. But like you say you just can't stop worrying. Do you have any other pregnancy symptoms? X

@SAbs86 I have sore boobs that come and go, and feel tired but I honestly think that’s just from stress. Just waiting to see if the bleeding gets heavier. How are you doing? Do you have any symptoms?

@Triselly I've had nausea and bit of sore boobs. Same as you, tiredness from the stress and worrying. Never ending isn't it.

Thank you ladies. I have third beta on Monday am. But then nothing else currently planned until scan which is late on 23rd Jan. I'm tempted to book an early private scan, or try and get on at EPU. I don't think I can wait until 23rd Jan.

Sorry to hear of spotting. As you say it's so normal in pregnancy. And it's another one of those symptoms that is fine... until it's not, which makes it harder. You need to trust your guts and advocate for yourself if you need it.

@Triselly I'm so glad you advocated for yourself on your TSH level and sorry it was low. But great that you got to it. I'm sure you made it in time. What are the other not ideal factors that you are worried about?

Cramps moved to my hip and bum today. So I'm hoping it's just stuff burrowing in further and moving around at this point.
