Hi all 👋

I have a failed first transfer (fresh) and have one embryo banked from my first retrieval.

I’ll be doing my first FET with it in March. Anyone else joining me for the wait?

I’m still waiting to find out what went wrong with my fresh transfer. Hopefully next time is the charm!

@JulesIVF
But it's all so variable, and you're not even at the equivalent of 10DPO yet.

And it's all so variable, when you fell naturally pregnant you could have implanted on 6dpo and had symptoms by 10dpo (4 days later), but this time you could implant on 8dpo and not have symptoms until 12dpo (or the equivalent - 7DP5DT)

It's so hard though, I am no better as I keep thinking the same, with no symptoms here. It's hard to keep the balance of being positive but not wanting to get hopes up.

Still trying to decide whether to test out the trigger or wait for OTD.

JulesIVF · 26/03/2024 11:36

@Bruceytwo thank you. I 100% know you’re right, don’t know why i need other people to say it to believe it 😂.

I kind of wish I tested out the trigger but I think it would be too risky to take a test now cause I wouldn’t know if it was the trigger or a true faint positive and I would be climbing the walls haha.

Bruceytwo · 26/03/2024 18:34

@JulesIVF good point I've probably left it too late to test out now, I can't remember when I stopped seeing the trigger last time.

We'll just have to be strong! Eek!

Copenhagener · 27/03/2024 12:16

Anyone with updates today?

I’m incredibly bloated today and keep getting a stretching/pulling feeling on my right hand side. But other than that, I’m trying to put the FET mostly out of my mind until 4 April.

JulesIVF · 27/03/2024 12:26

@Copenhagener that sounds positive! Did you wait until OTD last transfer?

I’m 5days now.
Telling myself any little hint of a symptom could just be the progesterone but then when I don’t get any wee twinges or cramps I think the worst 😂. Can’t win either way.
My husband asked me this morning if I wanted to test but I had just peed a couple hours before so didn’t bother. Proud of myself cause I’m a serial tester usually. Will probs test sat morning which is 2 days early.

RibbetRibbetRibbet · 27/03/2024 13:36

@Copenhagener
I tested today but it was negative. I know it is too early but I went to see my grandma in hospital today and wanted to give her some good news.
I am going to try not to test again until Saturday, when I was told to test.
@JulesIVF well done for staying strong!!

I have been feeling a bit nauseous the past couple of days but I don't think that can be anything if pregnancy test is negative as I believe it is the HCG that makes you nauseous

Runner77 · 27/03/2024 21:57

The TWW is such a mind f*ck! I feel like my period is trying to start as I’ve had cramps and had some light brown discharge yesterday. I’m now getting anxious each time I go to the bathroom that I’ll discover it’s all over.

I bought tests yesterday but I’ve decided only to test if I get more period symptoms. I’m so sure it’s going to be negative so I don’t want to wreck our Easter break with sadness.

@Copenhagener the pulling feeling sounds like it could be promising. Good luck!

@JulesIVF well done for holding out on testing. It’s such a dilemma as to whether to test or not.

@RibbetRibbetRibbet how many days post transfer are you? Hope your grandma is doing ok and you have some good news for her soon.

Bruceytwo · 28/03/2024 07:40

@Runner77 It's so unhelpful that period, early pregnancy and progesterone symptoms are all so similar! I wouldn't lose hope yet!

I crumbled this morning and took a test, BFN so feeling pretty deflated. I'm 5dp5dt and I know it's early but I think given a positive is technically possible this early I really wanted one.

Will leave it again now until OTD but hopes are low.

JulesIVF · 28/03/2024 08:46

Omg ❤️😭 I caved and now I’m worried it’s the trigger that I took 12 days ago?? Will just need to test again tomorrow and next day to make sure it’s getting darker.

@Runner77 I had my transfer last Tuesday so I tested on day 8 post transfer.

@JulesIVF ooh fingers crossed! Keep us updated with your next test.

Sunflower360 · 28/03/2024 09:53

@JulesIVF congratulations! If be surprised if that was trigger as I tested mine out and it was gone by 2dpt (so think that would have been 8 dpo). Was this your first transfer?

JulesIVF · 28/03/2024 11:10

Thank you!

@Sunflower360 that’s good to hear - thanks! It seems pretty dark on the clear blue for it to still be the trigger but I’ll remain cautious and take another test on Saturday morning. Yeh this is my first transfer.

FlowerWheel · 28/03/2024 16:53

Looks like a positive to me! Trigger disappeared here 3 days after transfer so 10days?

Didn’t get a positive until possibly 6dpt but definitely 7. Thought it was over!

Tomorrow will be 5 weeks. Still don’t dare to join any of the monthly clubs until a scan I don’t think.

Copenhagener · 28/03/2024 19:16

@JulesIVF how exciting! Please keep us posted. Keeping my fingers crossed for you.

@JulesIVF thats fantastic, congrats!! Does your clinic do a blood test?

@FlowerWheel big congrats, how are you feeling, any symptoms?

JulesIVF · 29/03/2024 06:41

Morning!
defo darker today already 😊.

its an additional cost @Runner77 but I think I will request it when they call on Monday for my results.

The only reason I tested early was because my golden retriever is clinging to me. He done this when we fell pregnant last June the wee soul.

Congratulations @JulesIVF !!!

I did my test today and it was positive! I was so shocked. I still don't quite believe it and am going to buy a clearblue one to use tomorrow!

@RibbetRibbetRibbet yesss!! Congratulations 🥰 that’s amazing. I felt the same haha but that’s a positive right there ❤️.

Copenhagener · 30/03/2024 10:50

@RibbetRibbetRibbet wow, that’s a very clear line! How many days post transfer are you? Congratulations!

I’m 5 days past 5-day transfer now. This would be day 32 of my cycle.

This is the day when I started spotting on my first transfer, so I’m very nervous each time I go to the bathroom. I’m wondering if I should consider testing soon. My blood test isn’t until Thursday.

RibbetRibbetRibbet · 30/03/2024 15:28

@Copenhagener thank you!!
I am 11dpt and on day 42 of my cycle.
Today I felt quite nauseous at points and I had some food that tasted funny, I don't know if it was me or the food!

I did a test 8dpt that was negative, I think I should have stayed strong and waited until today.

I will keep my fingers crossed for you :)

Runner77 · 30/03/2024 23:56

@RibbetRibbetRibbet congrats! So great to see some positives on here.

Copenhagener · 01/04/2024 06:46

Guys. I’m shaking and need a sense check.

I’m 7 days post 5-day transfer and just took a test.

I’m not sure if I’m seeing what I think I’m seeing. I’ve never ever seen anything there before. It came up within 4 minutes.

JulesIVF · 01/04/2024 07:01

Looks pretty conclusive to me @Copenhagener 🥰🥰. Congrats!!

Copenhagener · 01/04/2024 07:06

Can it really be positive?

In two years I’ve never seen so much as a speck. I took my ovitrelle on 26 March, so could it still be in my system? It’s never lingered this long though.

I only used a cheap test. Can it really detect at 7 days post?

And it’s April’s Fool’s Day 😅

I’m still just sat here in shock.

I’ll test again tomorrow. My blood beta test is on Thursday morning.
