Hi all 👋

I have a failed first transfer (fresh) and have one embryo banked from my first retrieval.

I’ll be doing my first FET with it in March. Anyone else joining me for the wait?

I’m still waiting to find out what went wrong with my fresh transfer. Hopefully next time is the charm!

I'm hoping this will be my last peroid also lol time is coming around so quick! I can't believe my EC could be next week!! Does anyone know if clinics usually do the egg collection on the standard day 14 of a cycle?

We started our first round of IVF in January, and all seemed to be going well but unfortunately our fresh transfer failed 🥺 Had a follow up earlier this week and got our consent forms signed and got to take my meds home so we'll be ready to go once my period arrives. Due around the 5th so hoping it shows up on time. The wait is going so slowly! 😩

Hi everyone I've had my 1st scan today I'm 2 weeks on ivf medication feeling a little disheartening they counted 11 follicles today but last month they counted 18 follicles I'm wondering is my body not agreeing to the medication,has this happened anyone ? To have a drop in follicles numbers month to month, 11 is the lowest I've ever had in my 2 years of ttc

@Cloclo93 Hi, I take it you are in a IVF cycle not frozen embryo transfer? AFC can vary each month, 11 is still a very good number and it is very much quality over quantity when it comes to producing embryos so hopefully it all works out fine

Has anyone had their embryos tested before FET? I've not, just putting the highest grade out of the 3 collections in so it is relly pot luck if it'll work or not 😳

Hi @1stTimeIVFer This is my first FET too after 3 egg collections with freezing of embryos. Are you having one embryo transferred?

@Sunflower360 Yes just a single embryo transfer. How many are you having transferred??
We have a few still in the freezer and the clinic's not recommended any testing. Crossing fingers that this will be the one 🤞🏻

@1stTimeIVFer just one this time, the clinic is not keen on doubles until perhaps the 3rd transfer. Fingers crossed!

Hi @Sunflower360 yeah I'm on day 7 so far hoping for egg collection end of next week 😬 I was just expecting to see my usual 18 or so follicles! I do have low AMH so hopefully I'll get some eggs from my 11 follicles, yeah your totally right it just takes 1 good one! What stage are you at now?

@Cloclo93 I have low AMH too, hopefully it'll all go well, your Estradiol levels in your bloods should give an indication of mature follicles, think its around 1000 pmol per follicle that may give a mature egg

I'm waiting on my initial FET scan to check lining and then hopefully will monitor LH surge to start Progesterone to then hopefully transfer... waiting game atm

@Sunflower360 first time as well, and haven’t tested any embryos. A bit nervous about that after a MMC in summer, but if this transfer doesn’t work I think we will test the rest. Had egg collection in jan. Just ovulated on Wednesday there so impatiently waiting for my period to start so we can get the ball rolling. Got 8 in the freezer and transferring two 🥹🤞🏻. Wish I could sleep until transfer day haha.

@Heyjal that is good that you have 8 in the freezer, we've got 7 blastocysts and 1 day 3 which we'll see when it comes to thawing it if that develops further. Is this your first transfer with double? I got told no to doubles for the first 2 transfers... but will see what happens with this one, I'm on the fence regarding testing, keep reading different things!

@Sunflower360 it is, yeah. We are private and our clinic don’t refuse but do recommend just one. The testing is just so expensive but I know it’s obviously worth it to save more heartbreak of failed transfers etc. Our clinic didn’t recommend testing but they do generally advise not to do it unless continuous fails or MC. I started reading into it and stopped myself because I get so in my head about everything and start stressing out.

I had my first scan today (day 11), lining already 7mm and triple layered and follicle is 14mm (they look for 15mm) so all looks to be progressing well. Got another scan booked for Wednesday but she said just to keep checking LH.

@Sunflower360 have you got your first scan booked in?

Anyone else at this stage?

I'm feeling quite positive about it all today!

@DoctorBambino that is good result. Yep my scan is this week, will see what it holds, only had scans when I've stimulated so not sure what to expect

Me! 🥰 I'm on cycle day 10 had a scan also, looking at maybe Thursday or Friday for EG I'll know after 2pm today it's coming around so fast! Nervous and excited! Is this your 1st cycle?

Hi @Cloclo93 that's great! I'm doing a natural frozen cycle, I was very lucky to have a successful fresh transfer back in 2021 which resulted in my little boy who is now 2! Fingers crossed for your egg collection!

Had my scan which went ok, think my cycle has got longer as I'm not near ovulation (was previously 28/29 days). Follicle was 10mm and lining 5mm, was advised that is consistent for a 30-32 day cycle. Will see what the next scan looks like later this week... all a bit of a waiting game! Is it 8mm for lining they like to see? If so I'm a fair bit off that....

My period is starting up! I’ll call the hospital tomorrow to get my first scan scheduled in.

It’s going to be a bit tricky as I’m starting a new job tomorrow, I’m abroad next week for a site visit, and I’m in full on onboarding all month. Hopefully I can grab some early morning scans 😅

I've managed to catch a really bad cold and not feeling good at all. Due my period next week and hope I'm back healthy before then 😩

Have my EC in the morning I'm so nervous! I know I will be a total wreck true every stage coming up 😂

That's sounds really tricky @Copenhagener! Lots of things to try and squeeze in, hopefully it will take your mind of it all!

I had my second scan today, follicle was 18mm and lining now 10. And I've just tested and got my surge (a day early which has knocked all my work planning out of the window!) So I'm guessing that means transfer will be Tuesday!?! Yikesssss!

Hi Ladies, great to hear that you are all doing well and progressing with your cycles. I’ve just come back from a holiday, feeling refreshed and ready to try our third transfer. I’m on estrogen tablets and have my first scan on Wednesday.

@DoctorBambino you must be excited to know the transfer is soon. How are you feeling about it all?

@Cloclo93 good luck, hope you have great results with lots of embryos. Waiting for the updates is excruciating!

@1stTimeIVFer hope you are feeling better. It is probably the best time to catch a cold though. I’m trying to plan my next few weeks to minimise socialising too much or being in crowded spaces but still have to get on with normal life.

@Copenhagener and @Sunflower360 hope you are both doing well. Starting a new role must just add another layer of stress with managing scans and appointments. Hopefully you have understanding employers.
