Anyone else planning going through embryo transfer in January? Would love to hear from others on this journey.

We last did an embryo transfer in July 2022, which was unsuccessful and had a previous two transfers, one unsuccessful and one resulting in miscarriage. As those were our only embryos I've been through 2 ECs this year and now have 8 euploid embryos! It's been a long journey and I'm very hopeful for this next transfer 🤞

I’m currently 7 weeks 4 days! I had my 6 week scan privately and all was ok, and I have my 8 week scan with my IVF clinic this week.
How is everyone getting on?
I feel like the 12 week scan appt will fly by - I’m just keeping myself busy.

Hi everyone! I'm only 6 weeks and 2 days. Nausea has kicked in but it's only mild at the moment. I have my scan at the clinic next week which still feels like ages away!
If that goes well we will be booking a private 10 week scan and NIPT test. We did this last time and found it so reassuring.

@Ellenn - congrats! Yeah it's so hard to wait, totally understand why you're getting the scans done. Hahaha I've been having the random wake ups at 3am too for the last 5-6 days. Then takes forever to get to sleep! Totally doesn't help that I start streaming something on my iPad 😝.

Regarding NIPT. So I'm not sure to either just pay and get it done at 10 weeks. I have my booking apt then, so will discuss. I'm thinking to get it done, so I can just relax a bit more.

@Lyrabee- amazing news! So happy to hear you have all your appointments lined up 💕.

@Ccp7 - congrat! Best thing to do is keep busy. And my IVF clinic booked me in for a few scan until they discharged me at 9 weeks. I hope that helps 😊

@Emmyanddreams - aww congrats! I think you're right. Will sit the other half down and really look into NIPT. I'll just feel more reassured. 💕

I am on my 2ww period, my test is schedule on 08th march, i have no symptoms at all. really worried and anxious

@nisha2011 fingers crossed for you lovely! You've done really well on waiting! If it helps, I had zero symptoms (and still don't!).

@Lyrabee thank you girl.. are you also on 2ww period??

@nisha2011 I'm not anymore. I got my positive test at the end of January and am currently awaiting my 12 week scan.

I have everything crossed for you! Is it your first transfer?

@Lyrabee thank you for your wishes.. no this is not my 1st transfer, this is my 2nd transfer.. you mind sharing your embryo grades and was it 3 day or 5 day transfer??

@nisha2011 I had 6 day 5 embryos. They were all singularly transferred apart from the last two (but only one has stuck). We weren't given gradings which I'm quite glad of, I think it causes a lot of overthinking with them. I wouldn't look at that too much, the clinic wouldn't of transferred them if there wasn't a chance.

@Lyrabee yeah of course.. in my case day5, 2 embryos have been transferred, but this waiting is killing me.. and again when i think about the test day i feel no no i dont want to go for test, waiting is better atleast we can have a little hope.

@nisha2011 I felt exactly the same!

Plus, once you get your positive result, it's another 3 week on the other side to wait for the scan which I found harder!

@Lyrabee seriously!! keeping calm is very difficuly.. what was bhcg value intially??

@nisha2011 yeah but it took me a while get my first positive and I appreciate its such a milestone.
I didnt have a blood test. I just kept testing at home on the cheap sticks!

@Lyrabee you absolutely had no symptoms?

@nisha2011 nope none at all! The only thing I could say as a MAYBE but it's a bit of a stretch, was I got migraine 2 days after transfer. But I think that would be too soon to give any symptoms!

@Lyrabee i almost wish I had no symptoms mine are so all over the place. Sometimes have nausea in morning and sometimes not 🤷‍♀️ I wish they were either constant or not at all! When is your scan? I was so late phoning to book in mine is closer to 14 wks oops ….

good luck on your 2ww @nisha2011 when do you think you will test? Always so nerve wracking!

@Lyrabee no symptoms, that's amazing! I'm 6 and a half weeks and I feel shocking.

@Ellenn @Emmyanddreams I know I am lucky with the no symptoms. My boobs are a bit sore sometimes? But I feel I'm clutching at straws!

It does make me nervous that something is going wrong though or I've made it all up.

My 12 week scan is actually in my week 13 because I'm away the week before. But I'm 11 weeks tomorrow and having a private scan on Saturday for some peace of mind.

@Lyrabee lots of people are really lucky and have no proper symptoms so don't panic.
I hope the scan on Saturday goes well. How exciting!

you also dont worry your scan will go smoothly
