Anyone else planning going through embryo transfer in January? Would love to hear from others on this journey.

We last did an embryo transfer in July 2022, which was unsuccessful and had a previous two transfers, one unsuccessful and one resulting in miscarriage. As those were our only embryos I've been through 2 ECs this year and now have 8 euploid embryos! It's been a long journey and I'm very hopeful for this next transfer 🤞

@Lyrabee that does make it very real! Do you make the referral yourself to maternity services? I guess I will do mine after next weeks scan.

@HE90 you will hopefully sleep well!

It depends on the hospital you're going for but mine was self referral, you can do it now if you want to (my clinic asked me if I'd done it already). They should tell you next week at your official scan if you can self refer cause it depends where you live. If its not self referral, I think you just go through your GP and they do it for you.

The only issue I had with the self referral was it asked for my last period date which I assume they use for an indicator to how far along you are. Luckily there was a free type box so I could put in my estimated dates from the clinic.

@HE90 my OTD isn't until Monday. I'm going to test again tomorrow to see whether the line is any stronger or fading🤞

From my experience last time I had to refer myself to our local maternity services. As for the due date, this was always based on the date the clinic gave me not the 12 week scan.

@HE90 great news with your scan 😍 that must have been amazing. I’ve still got a week to go before my scan and I’m feeling super nervous about it already 🫣 I think your brain just overthinks these things and everyday I’m wondering do I have as much symptoms as yesterday 🙈

@Ellenn I tested again this morning and the line was much darker and came up really quickly. So hoping this continues 🤞

@Emmyanddreams amazing news!! Does your clinic usually do bloods too or just an at home test? When will you be letting them know?

@Ellenn no, just a home test. I'll be letting them know on Monday which is my OTD, all being well of course x

Heya @Ellenn I started testing from 5dp5dt, all have been stark white so it’s not worked for me this time unfortunately!

Hi @Ellenn Yes, luckily we still have 1 in the freezer but think we’re gonna take a year or so off before we look at doing another transfer.

@Ccp7 unfortunately after getting faint positives from 6dpt the line didn’t darken and then got fainter at 9dpt. BFN on 10dpt and OTD. Have taken some time away from mumsnet. How did you get on? Xx

Can anyone please help me.
I had a bfn on Sunday 11th Feb so I stopped taking cyclogest and oestrogen tablets that afternoon. I had my withdrawal bleed on Wednesday 14th-Friday -16th February which was lighter and less painful than anticipated.
then on Friday 16th I started with intense bloating which is really uncomfortable and I still have it.
has anyone else who’s stopped taken the tablets had the same experience? I’m winding myself up thinking that there is something wrong with me! X

@Lebe14 Aw im so sorry to hear that :( chemical pregnancy’s are so tough. I hope you’re okay. When are you planning your next transfer?

We don’t have any embryos left - we only had 2 - so moving onto our 2nd cycle xx

Our embryo stuck :) Beta results came back very strong and now I’ve got a 6 week scan on Friday x

I'm at 10 weeks now, eagerly awaiting my 12 week scan. Still not getting any big symptoms so still in disbelief really.

@Lyrabee - Aww 10 weeks that's amazing. It's really hard to process it all. Some of my friends have had no symptoms in there first trimester at all, vs those that do.

Mines been a bit mixed. Currently at 9 weeks. I lost 2kg initially from the nausea and reflux. Which has settled now, but then I get super anxious that I have no symptoms.

Just need that 12 week scan apt to come in!

Have you looked into NIPT? Thinking of getting it done?

Hey! I’m at 8 wks now and obsessively still getting scans as can’t believe I’ve not miscarried yet 🙈 the last week I definitely seem to be getting worse nausea in the mornings before I have breakfast and weirdly I get woken up at 3am? My symptoms aren’t constant throughout the day 🤷‍♀️

12 wk scan feels sooo far away right now! Is the NIPT what gets offered on NHS? I was worried as my scan I will almost be at 14 weeks so not sure that it will fit the window for checking. I’m hoping at my first midwife appointment I can ask if any cancellations and I can move it earlier or not. Have you guys had your midwife appointment yet? xx

@Warrier87 I have filled out the form to do the blood test and we will make a decision from there. Will you be doing it? I was so incredibly hungry until week 8, I can't even explain it!

@Ellenn aw my 12 week scan will be in my 13th week so I'm having an 11 week one privately. I had my booking appointment with the midwife and have my 16 week appointment in the diary!
