Anyone else planning going through embryo transfer in January? Would love to hear from others on this journey.

We last did an embryo transfer in July 2022, which was unsuccessful and had a previous two transfers, one unsuccessful and one resulting in miscarriage. As those were our only embryos I've been through 2 ECs this year and now have 8 euploid embryos! It's been a long journey and I'm very hopeful for this next transfer 🤞

I had my FET on Monday - all went well.
I had mild cramps all of last night - twinges and a dull pain as if my period was coming but it’s not due for another week. Hoping this is implantation cramps? But this could also be all the progesterone (I’m on pessaries & Prontogest injections)
how is everyone else getting on? x

@Ccp7 congrats on the transfer. I had some cramps and twinges and I still do now, it’s very normal your body is working overtime to adjust. When is OTD for you? I’m so surprised with how different hospitals do things, do you do a hpt or go for a blood test?x

@HE90 when was your transfer? My OTD is next Sat.. so another week!! My clinics procedure is to do a HPT and if positive then go in for a blood test. I don’t think I’ll be able to wait until the full time. I didn’t have any cramps or twinges last time and that transfer did not work so hoping something is happening this time!! X

@HE90 firstly, congratulations! Secondly, you are not alone lovely, I'm in the three week wait also and it is dragging. I think there's so much emphasis on getting your positive after the 2ww that nobody really talks about the next one. Especially when you're waiting for a 'viability ' scan - what an awful term to use! I feel incredibly grateful to finally get a positive after so long but also feel like I can't enjoy it at all.

I've done a few tests but have stopped now as realistically they don't tell me anything and my clinic won't do a beta.

Was this your first transfer? Hang in there!

@Ccp7 we're on the same timeline! My FET was on Monday and OTD 10th Feb. Although I won't be waiting until then. I think I might even test tonight. I don't want to get to Saturday and it be negative after all that wait - would rather start coming to that realisation this week. I too have had cramping - had a little more today. Hopefully it's a good sign!! X

@Lebe14 aw amazing! What clinic are you with? I think I will test on Wednesday which is day 9.. hoping the cramps mean something!! How are you getting on? X

Sounds like a good plan @Ccp7. Wednesday should give an accurate result. I'm with LWC - what about you? I'm feeling okay - have been more tired to normal with all the progesterone but not too bad. Only thing post transfer is the cramping, but I don't mind that - it's not painful. I was horrendously bloated last night!! How have you been feeling? X

@Lebe14 aww I’m also with LWC! So we would have been at Harley St on the same day on Monday for the transfer. I’m feeling okay to be honest, super bloated too but apart from that I’m alright. The Prontogest progesterone injections are horrible though - having super sore hips every other day after the injection :(

Omg @Ccp7 what are the chances!! It was my first FET and I felt really looked after by everyone at Harley Street.

I wasn't given prontogest - I've got lubion instead, alongside x3 cyclogest. I was quite glad about that as I've heard prontogest is hard work....! Wonder how they determine what they provide.... x

@Ccp7 Ccp7 my transfer was 16/01, feels like a lifetime ago! I think it’s ok to test a bit early, just not too early otherwise you’ll make yourself feel worse. I tested on 10dp5dt so knew it would be accurate at that point.

@Lyrabee i know this 3 week is hideous. Tempted to book a scan but keep talking myself out of it! Yes my first transfer, I had EC in October but had a freeze all due to risk of OHSS. First positive pregnancy test since MC in 2021 so it has been a long journey and feels too good to be true at the moment. I took a digital CB this morning and it said 3+ so feel slightly reassured that HCG is rising but I also know they aren’t that accurate.
Was this your first transfer? When is your scan date? Your right, the term viability is horrible!!

@HE90 I'm sure the scan date will be here before we know it! And then it's another 5 week wait at least on the other side!

Ah that's amazing its your first transfer but sorry to hear of your MC. No, this was my 5th transfer with my last two blasts. I'd never had a positive test before my otd. When is your scan? Mines on the 13th - pancake day haha

@Ccp7 @Lebe14 what a small world that you were in the same clinic on the same day!! How are you feeling?
@Lyrabee oh wow, what a journey for you. I can’t imagine how tough it has been for you to go through this so many times. So on your scan you may see 2 little flickers! I wanted 2 embryos put back in but they wouldn’t do it. My scan is 20th Feb x

@HE90 @Lebe14 I broke this morning and took a test (it’s only been 6 days but I just couldn’t help myself) and I got a very faint line! I know it may change if it’s a chemical so I’m not celebrating yet but it is a little bit of hope! (My last transfer was a BFN)

@Ccp7 I did exactly the same and I also got a faint line on a FRER! Not getting too excited as it still might not work, however that is the first line I have ever ever seen on a test.... So that is progress. I'm going to test each morning until Saturday - really hoping this is positive news for us both xx

Congratulations, that is such amazing news!! All my cramps etc have completely gone so I’ve lost all hope now. I’ve got another week before my test date.. time moves so slowly in this process!! Xxx

@Kfish56 don’t lose hope! I only had cramps on day 4 really and nothing since and I got a faint positive today and my OTD isn’t for another 6 days! So keep positive xxxx

@Lebe14 i have felt a bit nauseous today and just so tired as I'm not sleeping well but other than that, I am ok, hoping they are good signs.
@Kfish56 please don’t lose hope. I had no symptoms what so ever other than the odd cramp but it would go before I had a chance to really think about it. Time is sooo slow, but do something nice for yourself. In my TWW I booked a nice facial and also had a session of reflexology which really helped me.

Thank you @Kfish56. As @Ccp7 said - don't lose hope! My test date isn't until next Saturday either - I've only had cramping and that has subsided a little today. I just tested super early. Glad I did though, as even if things don't work out, I now know my body can get to this stage - it's never got this far before ☺️

Sorry to hear you're not sleeping well @HE90 ☹️ not sleeping is the worst. Hopefully the nausea will pass soon too xx

@HE90 @Lebe14 thank you both. I’m not getting cramps but I am on off getting the full ache that I usually get before at shows. It would be round about now I would start having it as well as af would have been Thursday next week. I can’t help but feel like this isn’t our cycle. Sorry if I sound super negative xx
