I appreciate this is an infertility forum and feel incredibly lucky to have my DD. I'm currently struggling with secondary infertility and was wondering if anyone else was experiencing the same? I'm feeling a little lost at the moment 😔.

@FETmum Oh my god, that’s amazing news 😊❤️!! Congratulations!! Xx

Hollielouise · 13/03/2024 20:59

@FETmum such wonderful looking tests. Huge congratulations 🥳 xx

@Helengreggregson yes I completely agree. My son has started asking why some people have a brother and a sister and he has none 💔. We've had all the tests and done 8 cycles of successful ovulation induction and still nothing. Are you having treatment at the moment or have you decided next steps?

I think our option now is IVF - we've been approved for Kind IVF so less expensive but I'm still so anxious about it as it's so unknown.

Helengreggregson · 14/03/2024 10:24

@Hollielouise i am waiting on pgta results from an ivf cycle so we will see what happens. It’s so crazy expensive isn’t it. I have just googled Kind ivf that looks great . When do you hope to start?

RedRedRobin1 · 20/03/2024 14:00

Hey. How’s everyone getting on? Xx

Cloclo93 · 20/03/2024 19:32

I've made plans for a second cycle of ivf in may! This time icsi after the failed fertilization, was wondering should we do a sperm DNA fragmentation test 🤔 our ivf doctor said there's not much point, infertility is so costly 😶
Was watching my 5 year old playing outside by herself today she kept saying she had no one to play with, breaks my heart thinking we should have a 2 year old aswell if our ttc actually worked all them years ago 💔
How is everyone?

Hey

In the same boat - we've trying forever and all my mum friends have gone on to have second children and many even started after us and are now cradling 6 month old. I find it really challenging watching them but wishing that was me too.

With the added where my brother from my son?

I'm starting letrozole next period cycle! Private so really hoping that works for us!

Hollielouise · 21/03/2024 14:31

@Helengreggregson oh I hope the results are reassuring 💕
I've done a month on the pill to reset and now my AFC is down to 14 from 70 and no longer have PCO on ultrasound so we've decided to do a month of OI and see what happens. If no luck then we start our ICSI cycle in June. Seems such a long wait - the clinic only does egg collection on set weeks each month which is frustrating and doesn't seem entirely fair.

RedRedRobin1 · 21/03/2024 14:34

@Cloclo93 Wow, that’s exciting 😊!! Not long to wait either!!

I agree, it’s horrible seeing ds playing on his own and knowing that he wishes he had a brother or sister. I’ve planned a day out to somewhere he’s been asking asking to go but after the initial excitement he asked me if he could take a friend because apparently days out aren’t as fun on his own, even with mummy and daddy there 😔. I know that not all siblings get on or play well together but I still feel so guilty. I also feel sad that the longer it takes to conceive the bigger the age gap and less likely that they’ll want to play together… and that’s if it ever happens.

RedRedRobin1 · 21/03/2024 14:35

@FETmum How are you getting on??

FETmum · 21/03/2024 21:04

@RedRedRobin1 doing good thank you, I'm 4 weeks & 5 days today! It still hasn't hit me yet & still struggling to accept it's real!! Booked our 6 week scan in, maybe then it will hit me! It was such a long road getting here. Not long until you can start now?!

@Cloclo93 that is great news!! Fingers crossed it all works! I can't remember if you have pcos but I definitely recommend inofolic and the embryo glue on transfer.

Wishing everyone their dream of a second sibling, DO NOT give up hope!! Xxx

RedRedRobin1 · 22/03/2024 06:47

@FETmum That’s lovely news to hear, I’m genuinely so happy for you! Please keep in touch and let me know how you’re getting on 😊!
Yes we can try again on the 2nd of Apri ☺️l!! Although typically I’m due on my period around that time 🙄!! Xx

RedRedRobin1 · 22/03/2024 06:48

April ☺️!!*

Helengreggregson · 27/03/2024 16:54

So results are back I got 2 euploid embryos out of 5. 3 abnormal being discarded one of which was a 5aa! Was worried I would get no normals at all, hoping things will work out with one of them!

Darma87 · 30/05/2024 20:35

How is everyone? I took a break after my failed IUI and have just started meds today for IVF egg retrieval. Trying to stay excited, but still nervous how ill respond to the meds!

Cloclo93 · 31/05/2024 11:42

No joy for me I'm afraid.. just had a second failed cycle. Icsi this time 2 eggs 2 fertilized but Deteriorated day 4 and 5, got the call as we were on the way for our transfer, absolutely heart broken 💔 so not only do I have extremely low amh not my egg quality is totally rubbish!! And I'm only 31! I keep trying to tell myself stop been selfish you have a perfect dd already accept and be happy with what you have! But I just can't accept it 😪

Darma87 · 31/05/2024 20:34

@Cloclo93 I'm so sorry, it's all so frustrating how random and unfair it is. Hope you are being kind to yourself ❤️

Hi all, I had been searching for a thread for a while about this. We are TTC #2, I had a miscarriage in January, we've been trying officially 2 years with ov tracking etc, however after my daughter was born we didn't take precautions and so I'm saying approx 3.5 years total. I also had an unconfirmed miscarriage in may 2022, as I'm not a tester and tend to wait for my period to be late 4 days as I'm always regular. Iv no know issues, but yet to have tubes checked or ultrasound and my partners sperm is "perfectly normal".

Onthedouble123 · 16/06/2024 21:03

@Risingsun93 Hi! you've just brought this thread to my attention so I'd like to join too.
We've been TTC #2 since early 2023. MC in November.

We are just waiting to start a first round of IVF in July. Partners analysis showed low morphology when we did an online test. He did make some lifestyle changes but then the test in the clinic was tip top for him. So not sure how much was his efforts to improve and how much was the online postal test not being that accurate in the first place.

My ultrasound showed fewer follicles than they expected for my age. So they recommended going straight to IVF.

I'm reeeeaaallly hoping it works but in a way feel a bit calmer for doing it just to satisfy myself that, even if it doesn't work, I know I've done everything to give my LO a sibling.

I hope it happens for you soon! X

So sorry to hear about your miscarriage last year!

Do you have a date set for your first round, do you mind me asking if this is NHS or private? Only as we cannot afford private but wonder if this will something offered to us given our history. Have you tried all other avenues ie IUI, did you have tests such as HSG etc?

I'm so hopeful for your journey to be a positive one from here ✨️

Onthedouble123 · 25/06/2024 13:23

Hi @Risingsun93 it's fully private for us. I think you can have investigations on NHS but not much in the way of treatment for secondary infertility- I'm not an expert in that though so don't take my word for it. We didn't feel like we had time to wait for NHS tests as getting to the end of the window we wanted to keep trying for.
Our clinic said that because my follicles are low they'd recommend the full ivf over iui. Just following what they say really!
Wishing you all the luck for yours too! Xx

Hi everyone,
would love some advice- I have had 2 fresh and 1 frozen embryo transfer all which have failed - I start spotting on day 3-4 past transfer and my period comes a few days after which is always early, never when it’s due.
My lining is thick levels are great our main factors are poor egg quality and sperm count no other issues, all three embryos are 5AA! I do progesterone suppositories 3x a day! I feel defeated! I ovulated naturally so no external meds except progesterone.

We have two beautiful boys which and have had two miscarriages- and a molar pregnancy.. falling pregnant has never come easy
:(
I just don’t get why I spot so early!
any one have anything similar ?
xxx
