A hall of negativity since I got up this morning! @MinBins
Visitors left yesterday, the last 3 days have been a great distraction but it's like my kind went in to overload after they left!

Best of luck with your interview today!

@1stcycle congratulations on being PUPO x 2! Do you think your will test during the 2WW or wait until your OTD?

ralno2 · 16/02/2023 10:45

@Spin101 I am going to wait until my OTD - I have bought FRER just in case but my partner is adamant that we wait until the official date.

I don't really have many symptoms which has kinda worried me - I had slightly sore boobs are the start but that seems to be gone. Just cramping but I think that's from the progesterone.

For those of you who got BFP did you have any symptoms in the 2WW?

Tinkerbell098 · 16/02/2023 11:46

@ralno2 everyone's different. I'm yet to experience symptoms at 10+5 😂So don't worry about the lack of symptoms. I know it's hard as I'm still anxious because of that. OTD would be here in no time. Hope you can find a way to distract yourself for the next few days X

1stcycle · 16/02/2023 13:30

@ralno2 glad you’ve managed to keep your mind distracted the last few days! When is your OTD again?

I’d like to say I’ll wait but I already have some FRER laying about so I know I’ll want to test early. My hubby wants me to wait also. We didn’t get a positive until 9dpt last time so I think I’ll at least try to not test till then which is 2 days before OTD. Who knows though I might cave or I might stay strong!

We have a little weekend break booked for the weekend after OTD so whatever the outcome we can have a chilled weekend without seeing anyone to digest!

Tinkerbell098 · 16/02/2023 14:19

I got my scan letter come through the post just now :) It's on 27th Feb, when I'll be 12+2. So nervous and excited at the same time.
I didn't realise we had to pay for scan pictures? it says it costs £10 for two or £18 for four. @Imisscoffee2021 did you have to pay in your area? I find it absurd as even at EPU they gave me the pictures for free!

OP posts:
Imisscoffee2021 · 16/02/2023 16:53

@Tinkerbell098 wierdly I'm sure I saw a sign on the reception at my hospital that it's £5 for a picture, then we got handed 9 of them and nothing said! It said something like £5 for token and show token for picture or something but we just scanned out with ours 😅 it is a but rich considering how flimsy they are snd they're usually heat based printing which is cheap. Maybe it'll catch up with me at 20 week scan on 27th and I'll be charged!

Imisscoffee2021 · 16/02/2023 16:53

Just realised we have scans onnsamenday@Tinkerbell098 ! What time is yours? Mines 3:30 x

Imisscoffee2021 · 16/02/2023 16:54

Swanned out not scanned out*

Spin101 · 16/02/2023 16:58

@MinBins i hope the interview went well!

@ralno2 i got myself some FRER yesterday too. Will try my best to wait until OTD.

Have any of you experienced sensitive/sore abdomen post Lubion injections? I was fine with menopur and fyremedal (although they stung a little). Lubion is making me feel more more sore. Wondering if I should try somewhere else but also worried about that. Did any of you do them in your leg or bottom?

MinBins · 16/02/2023 17:07

Thank you all - I got the job! Phew I'm super sleepy now that the adrenaline has worn off.

I also got the scan date through on the app, but it's for week 14.5 - 23rd March - and I'm on a shortlist too (not sure what that means) but I'm going to ask if they can do it sooner as we wanted to get some tests done.

@Spin101 thank you! And good luck for the test! I have injected in my leg before and found it harder but didn't do it with lubion so can't help 🙈

@ralno2 no symptoms but I had fatigue. Good luck to you!!

Ah good luck on your scan so excited for you @Imisscoffee2021 and @Tinkerbell098!

Imisscoffee2021 · 16/02/2023 17:20

Congratulations @MinBins ! Fantastic news, have a lovely restful evening! X

Imisscoffee2021 · 16/02/2023 17:21

@MinBins do they say what kind of appointment it would be at 14.5 weeks, as I thought the NT combined couldn't be done beyond 14? There are other screening la they offer though just as good but thought they'd aim for earlier!

Imisscoffee2021 · 16/02/2023 17:22

@Spin101 I found lubion worse than other injections, especially after 3 minths of it, hard to find a none punctured area!

Spin101 · 16/02/2023 18:16

@MinBins congratulations on the promotion! 🎉🥳

@Tinkerbell098 glad you’ve got your scan date through after the long wait!

@Imisscoffee2021 I bet!! I’m struggling 4 days in as I’m red around the injection site for 24-48 hours at the moment. How have you been feeling?

MinBins · 16/02/2023 18:30

Thanks @Imisscoffee2021 it's written as "ultrasound OB" but also that I'm on a short list if anything comes up sooner. I'll call them tomorrow to see if I can switch from nearby clinic to the main hospital - as I'll likely have to do the NIPT privately beforehand if it's at 14.5 weeks. 🫤

Oh I hope it gets better @Spin101. Would rubbing ice on the area beforehand be of any help?

seekingbabyk · 16/02/2023 19:40

@1stcycle we have another round of retrievals first at the end of March and then hopefully may/June for transfer. I think some clinics actually have a policy to not transfer two without the consultant recommending so we will see when we get to that stage.

@MinBins congratulations on the new job!

Honeybunie · 16/02/2023 22:53

@1stcycle Wow pretty cool you had two transferred! I hope they both stick 🤞🤞
@MinBins congratulations on your new official job hehe well done 👏
Wow @Imisscoffee2021 nearly 20 weeks how time has flown by. And @Tinkerbell098 @MinBins you’re both already like 10 weeks as well? Where has the time gone. I’m so busy at the moment my life literally passes me by 😅 i can’t wait for when I can start my second cycle now tbh but it’s still a while ago. Having said that I don’t wanna wish the months away. Just need to make the most of the time before as well
@Spin101 i had quite bad reactions to Lubion. Every injection ended up like a very nasty insect bite. First it was red and swollen and itchy and then the whole area hurt for over a day like you say 24-48h. I alternated the tummy sides as best as I could. It was so sensitive it even hurt when OH gave me hugs or came near my belly. Can’t remember now who of the ladies said that but apparently warming the Lubion up a bit before injecting it helps. I did that towards the end and it was a little better xx

Tinkerbell098 · 17/02/2023 08:07

@Imisscoffee2021 oh how cool we've both got our scans on the same day! Mine is at 2.40 pm.

@MinBins thanks 14.5 weeks is definitely a long time to wait for a scan, especially if you need the tests done. It's worth ringing them as you mentioned or change to the hospital to get a scan sooner than that.

@Spin101 I was fine with the lubion at first, but towards the last two weeks (I had it until I was 8 weeks) no matter how OH injected it, it always always hurt and I was sore for hours after. The injection site also had some blood from the puncture wound too. So obviously my body was saying stop! towards the end. So I was glad to be done with it after 6 weeks on it.

MinBins · 17/02/2023 10:05

Ah @Honeybunie thank you - it was a relief! Oh I know the weeks are flying by, but at the same time they are going SO slow! I just want it to be week 13 already so I can relax a little.

Ah definitely over the next month live it all up - eat all the lovely foods and enjoy the spring - the next round will be here before you know it! Are you still doing lots of travelling?

So I called the clinic about my 14.5 week scan. It was so late because midwife entered the wrong details 🫤 - she added my transfer date as my previous period date. And so I had to give them updated details and now I'm booked in for the 3rd March! Phew - such a relief. I'm anxious with the lack of symptoms so just want everything to be okay.

Tinkerbell098 · 17/02/2023 11:38

@MinBins that's great! Same week as me. How annoying your midwife got the dates wrong 🤦‍♀️ Did you say you may go for another scan before that? I know I'm the same with lack of symptoms. I wish there was something so I'd feel pregnant! My OH laughs at me for saying that and says "why do you want to feel unwell?" When did they ask you to stop the progesterone? Mine said after my 12 week scan, so counting down the days so I don't feel so messy down there 😂

OP posts:
MinBins · 17/02/2023 13:00

Ah yes - we'll have ours on the same week! I'll be exactly 12 weeks on the Friday @Tinkerbell098

I really want a scan before hand but then think I should wait. Haha what are they like! My husband said today "it's gone so fast hasn't it" 😐 if only they knew!

The midwife was training another midwife while she was with me so think there was a mixup there.

I have to stop at 12.5 weeks but I only have enough for 12 weeks. Oh don't get me started on the mess 😂🙈

MinBins · 17/02/2023 17:57

I got my blood test results and there was a full breakdown most of which were in normal levels. (WBC, RBC etc)

My HB & HCT are really low and google indicated it's anemia (which I had in my teens) I take multivitamins, and folate with omega oils but not iron - have ordered these and will try to chat with the midwife tomorrow. What multivitamins do you take in pregnancy @Tinkerbell098 and @Imisscoffee2021? 🙏🏼

Imisscoffee2021 · 17/02/2023 18:53

@MinBins I take ferrous sulphate anyway, one a day, as I'm a vegetarian since I was 14 and my levels before ivf were borderline anaemia but since taking one a day they've been great.
I take 2 pregnacares a day as instructions say, plus a high dose vit D. I have to take thyroxine daily too for my subclinical hypothyroidism.

Iron levels are quick to change, my vegetarian sister had very low levels in pregnancy so she was put on tablets and was fine.

MinBins · 17/02/2023 20:03

@Imisscoffee2021 Ah that's reassuring to know the levels are quick to change. I've had it on and off, but mainly teens & twenties.

I've ordered some online, so hopefully they'll get here soon. It may explain the fatigue and low energy I've felt, I'll monitor if they make a difference. Thank you!

Imisscoffee2021 · 17/02/2023 20:24

@MinBins I think it says to mention to midwife if taking ferrous sulphate, I haven't as I forgot since I've been taking it for so long but might be worth a quick call to your clinic :) x
