@Decaffe it's a funny thing with a lovely group like this, I said to my husband I don't know these ladies names, jobs, where they live, but I do know how many follicles they have on each ovary half the time!😆 been so good having this group to talk during this crazy IVF journey x

@Decaffe I was literally thinking the same thing yesterday, if only we could meet each other in person. @Imisscoffee2021 🤣🤣 such personal information we know about each other!

It’s finally my 38th birthday today. And I didn’t sleep well coz I was so annoying about a gay colleague. I was tired yesterday anyway and drove back home last night for my birthday but had a work dinner before. And this guy asks me if I wanted kids?! What a rude question. And what do you say to that? At the table with colleagues? He’s gay and he has baby envy. He looked into adopting 7 years ago but then decided not to. And he said he had therapy because of it. But clearly he still has a problem. But the cheek of asking a female colleague whether they want kids like everyone is able to have babies anytime and at any age. I didn’t know what to say to that. And that annoys be sooo much. It’s rude. And then he pulls crackers like people without kids have been shown to live a happier life anyway?! Just to make himself feel better because he couldn’t. It’s just disgusting. What an arsehole. I was fuming. Nearly ruined my birthday. Really didn’t sleep well and was up in the middle of the night or dreamed about rubbish like doing stims 🤦‍♀️

We got the phone call this morning to say that the other two embryos didn’t develop in the last 24 hours 😢

But at least we still have 1 frozen embryo as well as the embryo that was transferred!

@Honeybunie Happy Birthday! I hope you have an amazing day! I have had so many conversations like this its awful to go through it over and over. I feel like we know our script now and just say we're not sure we want them but who knows it could be different next year and leave it at that. But especially with a colleague it's nothing to do with them. The thing that gets me is when they push you to have kids or not have them too. And I always think what difference does it make to this persons life whether or not you have them? It literally makes no difference at all. Hope you're ok after that. And yes it sounds like he's a bit bitter and resentful.

My transfer is booked for Monday 😄I started progesterone pessaries yesterday. Do you remember what dosage you were on. I’m on 400 twice a day. I feel I read most people were on 3 a day but I could be making that up!

@ralno2 thank you! Worried my dosage is not high enough. I should be having some progesterone bloods on Sunday. However feels a little late as I don’t know if I’ll get same day results

@Spin101 From what I’ve researched 2x400mg per day is the normal amount.

3 x 400mg would be considered a high dose.

Not sure why I was placed on the high amount, my lining was thick but irregular before taking progesterone so perhaps that’s why.

@Honeybunie ahh hope your birthday was good overall! These comments always hit hard but try not to let them linger, I know it's easier said than done!

@Spin101 I'm on 200 ultrogestan three times a day. Yay for transfer being booked!

Odd question, but I have my hair booked for aaaages on the 16th Feb, which would be 8 days post transfer. I usually get a balayage/ baby lights which involves bleach.

should I cancel? I only realised today when I was looking though my calendar 🙃

@ralno2 yey for your embabies. Those are amazing grades! Regarding hair, could you ask the hairdresser perhaps? As I'm sure they would have pregnancy friendly alternatives. I'm not and expert though so sorry I can't comment.

@Spin101 I'm on 400mg twice a day. That's the standard dose my clinic uses. Amazing transfer is booked for Monday!

@ralno2 google says hair products are unlikely to be harmful. I guess it comes down to our individual risk appetite. I was looking at photos of when I had balayage done and it made me want to get it done again!

Morning ladies, I just had egg collection this morning, all went well and got 10 eggs so 1 more than last time 😊 Hope more are mature this time!

@Spin101 im on 200mg 3 times a day so I think it just varies clinic to clinic. Although they said there is a shortage of utrogestan, I have enough for the next few weeks to get me to the 6 week scan if we are successful and have a prescription for after then so might go and put it in asap just to have them here ready if we are lucky enough to get to that stage.

Sorry you didn't get more embryos out of it @ralno2 but the two you have have the best potential :)

@seekingbabyk I'm the same.. wondering whether the supplements make a difference and might even help us conceive naturally. OH is very hopeful as well and then disappointed when it doesn't work. We'll see, it's only been a month of taking them and we have a few cycles before starting IVF again. But we defo noticed an improvement in OH's stuff 🙊lol
Yeah that guy really pissed me off. You're right what is it to him? He's literally just jealous and now he's talking having babies down. He asked me about this like a year ago already and then said stuff like the advantages that ladies get after having been on maternity leave weren't fair. I was like WOW. What a dick.
I'm also annoyed that I don't really know what to say to these people to shoot them down in that moment. Like a 'friend' of ours asked me once if we wanted to have kids and i just said yes (that was before starting IVF) and then she went on to tell me 'don't leave it too long' and 'OH is such an amazing dad'. I was like thank you! I know that myself! So ruuude. One day, when this is all over, one way or another, I'll tell them all straight what dicks they have been and how dare they.

Aw yay @Spin101 transfer on Monday 🤗I was on one 400 pessary in the evenings and a shot of lubion in the mornings. two sounds like a normal dose to me. I think they only give more when people have relatively lower levels? I'm sure they give you the right dose based on your hormone levels.

@Honeybunie what is your OH taking to help? I've given up on trying naturally lol! The stress of timed sex is too much - infertility has definitely killed the passion for us lol!
