@ralno2 I got the train up north at 4dp5dt and had got a faintest squinter that morning, like barely barely barely there, then next day an obvious positive so the hours of vibration didn't effect it at all :) a train, a tube and then a cross country train so alot of vibration! Have a lovely day sight seeing, Ive lived at the Surrey edge of London 15 years but have a cousin visiting next week so will have to do all the tourist things again, been ages! Quite enjoy seeing it through fresh eyes again, especially as we're moving to Scotland in September all being well!

1stcycle · 14/02/2023 09:38

Thanks all, feeling a lot better today. Had a call to tell me the time of transfer and they also gave an update. They said there’s been progress, the good quality one they mentioned yesterday is still doing really well and is exactly where they want it to be for day 4 so feeling more relieved that it should make it to transfer tomorrow. And one of the other two has caught up a bit more still a little behind but it’s progressing and the third is still a bit more behind. So 12pm tomorrow transfer is booked just want to fast forward till then!

@ralno2 I know the 2WW is hard and keep second guessing everything, we were dog sitting my hubbys parents 2 dogs in our last 2WW and I took all including ours on a walk (something I’ve done loads and it’s been fine) but they really pulled this time and my back was hurting loads and i kept having a go at myself for even going and that I probably caused harm etc. but then I kept telling myself that so many people get pregnant and don’t even know and drink/weight lift/go to festivals/run marathons etc. it’s more hightend for us because of our experiences but we also just got to try and not beat ourselfs up on the little things. I’m sure it will all be ok, sending lists of positive sticking vibes. When is your OTD?

ralno2 · 14/02/2023 10:11

Thank you!! @Imisscoffee2021 @1stcycle @seekingbabyk

My OTD is Monday 20th

I actually really don't want to even know at this stage I'm happily living in the bliss of PUPO.

Looking back on the last three days I do feel like I may have done too much, but like you said most people smoke/drink/do strenuous lifting/ ex revise and don't even know they are preganant.

I guess this abdominal pain it's what's making me nervous. yesterday I was hectic cleaning before my visitors came and now I wish I hadn't done any of that.

@Imisscoffee2021 Lovely - London is so nice on a lovely day. We're heading to St Paul's cathedral today and then Covent Garden - On the upside it's really taken my mind off it all. I know I won't really be thinking much about it today which is great.

Where is Scotland are you moving to? I love Scotland! We did the NC500 last summer - fell in love with the place!

Tinkerbell098 · 14/02/2023 11:32

@ralno2 honestly, don't worry! I know easier said than done, but as other girls said, a lot of people don't even know they're pregnant at this stage and would love a normal life. I went to Cotswold for a few days just 2 days after transfer and did loads of hiking. I was also nervous going up hills etc, and I also had my dog with me. Plus I was packing and getting things ready for the trip so was moving about loads. The bean is tiny at the moment, it's going to be snug in your lining and nothing can move it about. Stay positive X

@Imisscoffee2021 aww are you moving back up to be close to family? That would be amazing. I love Scotland! Used to live up in Newcastle for 9 years, so was a frequent visitor.

@1stcycle oh yey! Looks very promising for tomorrow. Hope the others would also catch up and you can have some Frosties.

@Spin101 oh my! What a day! Glad you got one in in the end though! And a very good grade. Did they say why the thaw didn't go as planned? That's surprising as they were both really good quality? Fingers crossed they can refreeze your 5AA. hope you're having a relaxing day today after what you had to go through yesterday.

Imisscoffee2021 · 14/02/2023 12:25

@Tinkerbell098 I'm from Newcastle! Moved to London for uni sat 19 though and stayed :) plan is to spend a few years renting a house my sister has on her land near Falkirk, she and her husband bought a big property and land to eventually build a wildlife park hopefully so the gatehouse is spare and rent will help them, they poured all their savings into buying and because the house is old it's cost way more than they thought! I'll miss the south and my pals but we can visit, and tbh the area I live in is crazy expensive, childcare would cost me my entire salary so this move will enable me to stay with the little one for two years instead of just maternity, and I can still earn through my freelance work for fun money etc. Be nice to be in countryside too for first few years, though only 25 mins from Edinburgh and Glasgow by train so best of both worlds! Won't settle there though, will decide where to go in a few years, no rush 😅

@ralno2 I'd love to do that! I need to learn to drive asap to access Scotland more when we're there, I used to go loads as am from Newcastle so can't wait to see the beautiful mountains and wild landscape again, though I'll badly miss lovely southern coastal counties like Devon and Cornwall!

MinBins · 14/02/2023 12:51

@Spin101 my bladder also wasn't full. I needed an empty bladder for my scan and then a full bladder for the transfer an hour later - I chugged as much as I could but wasn't enough - they worked with what was there though. 😂

@ralno2 ah glad you're feeling better. Your OTD is on my birthday 😂 hope it's really good news for you! And enjoy your day in London today!

Scotland sounds lovely @Imisscoffee2021 - we're moving to South Yorkshire this year (waiting on that new build to be built - if it does get built 😂😭) but OH always says he'd like to move to Scotland (Inverness) eventually. It sounds like a dream, close to beautiful countryside, family and a short train ride away to gorgeous cities (Glasgow food is 🤌🏼)

@1stcycle that's positive news - good luck for your transfer! Such an exciting time with lots of PUPOs!

I have my midwife appointment tomorrow. And I want to book another private scan but don't know if I should just wait till I get the letter through. 🙈

Spin101 · 14/02/2023 20:46

@seekingbabyk thank you!

The clinic called and said 5AA didn’t survive the thaw in line with their expectations. I asked about the embryo they transferred and they said it was closer to a 3 than the 4AB they graded it at, but should apparently expand in me. I feel it’ll be extra work for the embryo with my thin lining.

@Tinkerbell098 Perhaps I should have pushed them for more of an explanation, however they said yesterday that this isn’t common so I think my embryo/s fell in that 5-10% that don’t survive the thaw.

I’m feeling quite deflated. I have 3 more embryos in the freezer but I feel they’re all going to have issues thawing now. I don’t get how both embryos had issues thawing and if the 5AA didn’t survive in an incubator, I wonder what chance the one in me has ☹️

@ralno2 Are you going to hold out until OTD? I’m already looking at the FRER 6 day early tests 🙈

1stcycle · 15/02/2023 13:37

@Spin101 that’s such a shame the other one didn’t survive. But praying for the one to stick! And I’m sure if it’s not common then the chances of the same happening to the other 3 should be low.

I just had my transfer, they were running late so I was bursting and needed a wee so badly! The embryologist and my doctor came in just before and said 2 of the 3 had got to blastocyst but was early blastocyst and they would have preferred them to be expanding blastocyst so they could asses the quality better and grade. So they said they wanted to put the both back inside me and I had to decide there and then. I asked the doctor her advice and she advised on the both being put back to double our changes so now I have two on board. So now it’s the dreaded 2WW!

Imisscoffee2021 · 15/02/2023 14:04

Omg congratulations on being pupo with two @1stcycle , imagine if you get twins!xx

1stcycle · 15/02/2023 14:11

@Imisscoffee2021 thanks it felt all surreal again seeing the embryos on the tv first and then watching them go inside. I can’t stop thinking about it already so it’s going to be a long wait lol! I know the doctor said it’s a small chance of twins, hadn’t really thought of it much before and hubby was in a bit of a shock not really understanding haha but we would be happy regardless. Just hope at least one sticks now.

Spin101 · 15/02/2023 14:32

@1stcycle Thank you for the reassurance. Congratulations on being PUPO! I really can relate to being put on the spot to make a decision 😅 I hope your embabies stick!! ❤️

Tinkerbell098 · 15/02/2023 14:32

@1stcycle oh wow! 2! I personally would have loved twins, but I know it's not for everyone. Everything crossed for the two embabies. It would be lovely! Did they say if they'd keep the third going for another day or was it a no no?

@Spin101 it's great you've got three more in the freezer, but hope you won't need them now. The chance of not thawing is so small, so for it to happen a second time would be very minimal. 3 is still a good grade, and it's AB, which is what matters more, as the blast can expand in you. Stay positive!

@Imisscoffee2021 oh I didn't realise you are from Newcastle. Thought you were from Scotland for some reason, probably because you've mentioned you've got family there. I really miss Newcastle and still go up to visit my friends often. Your sister's lodge sounds like a dream for a couple of years, so you can raise your little one in the countryside. That's a great plan and you can save on costs, plus you'll be very close to two big cities.

@MinBins how did your midwife appointment go? have you had a letter from the hospital yet for the 12 week scan?

OP posts:
Spin101 · 15/02/2023 14:33

@1stcycle did you ask to have a wee before transfer? 😄

Imisscoffee2021 · 15/02/2023 14:37

@Tinkerbell098 my sister moved to Scotland in 2021 but all my family are still in Newcastle :) going up in April to recalibrate my accent and see the family. How are you feeling?

1stcycle · 15/02/2023 14:39

@Spin101 I know you’d have thought I’d have been a bit more prepared after hearing your story but I just didn’t expect it. So just went with what the doctor advised.
i didn’t ask no, the nurse asked if I had a full bladder I said yes very full and she just said great lol when she pushed down on my tummy to scan I was worried id wee myself haha but luckily it’s quite quick and I went straight after.

@Tinkerbell098 thanks really hope it’s our time! They said they will watch it an extra day and update us tomorrow…so fingers crossed but also not expecting too much xx

MinBins · 15/02/2023 14:45

@Spin101 sorry to hear about the 5AA, it must be frustrating 😢 however it's not a sign that the rest will follow like that, I think it's rare. I'm hoping that it's good news for you in the next few days 💖

@1stcycle congrats on being double PUPO! Keeping everything crossed for you - that's exciting!

It went well @Tinkerbell098 - and it was mainly asking questions. I've been referred to Mavis for the BP monitoring (it's okay but family history of BP) and had an early glucose test (previous history of borderline pre-diabetes) so I've got lots of upcoming appointments. Plus given aspirin due to age and above hypertension link. No scan dates yet - she said maybe in next couple of weeks - I don't have symptoms so I just worry and wanted some reassurance but I think I might wait.

Have you had your scan date yet?

Tinkerbell098 · 15/02/2023 15:08

@Imisscoffee2021 I'm keeping ok, been really busy with work this week, also my friend is visiting this weekend with the kids, so have been busy getting the house ready for their stay. How are you keeping? Any baby kicks yet?

@MinBins I haven't had a scan letter yet either, which is annoying. I'm 10+4 now, so eagerly waiting! No symptoms here either, so, just like you, adding to the anxiety.

OP posts:
MinBins · 15/02/2023 15:27

@Tinkerbell098 hopefully soon, they said it happens from 12-14 weeks so I think yours should be through real soon!

MinBins · 15/02/2023 15:28

@Tinkerbell098 also we use an app for ours, so all records & appointments & notes are on there, which is great - but means lots of refreshing!

Imisscoffee2021 · 15/02/2023 15:41

@Tinkerbell098 keep chasing as there's loads of threads on here of ppl missing the 14 weeks combined test cut off atm, trusts are so overwhelmed! Hope you snd @MinBins hear back soon for your 12 week scan :)

I've had some kicks yeah, thought I felt something last week but for sure this week, some like tiny jabs to my cervix even so that was odd, panicked about incompetent cervix but seems to just be tiny feet! Bump definitely there now too, my husbands been amazing it just appeared overnight, reaches out to touch now he can see it. Can't wait for him to be able to feel little kicks too :)

seekingbabyk · 15/02/2023 18:53

@1stcycle yay congratulations on being PUPO - I definitely would have had both transferred if I had a choice. Our clinic is trying to talk us out of transferring 2 but that's still my preference!

@Spin101 I'm sorry the other one didn't make it! But keeping everything crossed for the one you transferred!

@Imisscoffee2021 wow you have so much exciting stuff going on at the moment! It will be lovely bringing up a little one in the countryside though! When is your due date? That's so exciting about the kicks ❤️

Spin101 · 15/02/2023 20:21

@1stcycle no one would expect to be put on the spot like that regardless of what they’ve heard! Haha I can’t believe she asked you and didn’t give you the option to have a wee! I honestly thought I would wee myself too and didn’t want that embarrassment 😂

@MinBins @seekingbabyk thank you. I’m trying to stay positive.

All this talk of Scotland is making me want to get on a train and go there! I’ve not been to Glasgow before

MinBins · 16/02/2023 09:24

Thanks @Imisscoffee2021 - fingers crossed it'll be here soon. Ahh you're getting kicks! That's lovely 😊 Have you began to get any baby clothes or items? X x

How are you feeling @ralno2?

@Spin101 funny you say that as I've been looking at cottages to book in the countryside this morning 😂

I have a job interview this afternoon. So so nervous. It's my current work, for a promotion (I've been doing the role for the past year - this will be an official thing if I get it.) Right - I've got this I think haha.

Hope you're all doing okay!

Tinkerbell098 · 16/02/2023 10:03

@MinBins good luck for your interview today!

@Imisscoffee2021 aww that is so sweet! Must be so surreal to actually feel there is a tiny human in you.

OP posts:
1stcycle · 16/02/2023 10:08

@seekingbabyk I know I hadn’t discussed it with hubby before cos it say usually not until 3rd cycle or if older than 35. So hubby was just like yeah put as many as you can inside as he’s not as clued up on the IVF lol! But yes I’m glad we did as I just got the call that the third one didn’t get to freezing so we prob would have lost the second one if we didn’t put it in.
when is your next transfer? I don’t blame you wanting to put two in, is it more your decision at the end of the day or can they refuse?

@MinBins good luck with the interview today! I’m sure you will smash it!!
