Hey everyone.
So I’m just getting ready to start my second round of ICSI after suffering a MMC last Aug.
I have 2 more weeks of Norethisterone before I await the important bleed and then start my injections, yippee!

I was so chilled when I received my protocol and now I’m getting a little nervous as I know what’s to come. Unfortunately none of the embryos from our last round were high enough quality to freeze so we are starting from scratch. I’m preying for higher quality this time but I guess that’s out of our hands.

I wanted to start a thread as I know how helpful it was on my first round and it’s nice to know your not alone in what can seem like a very isolating process ❤️

@ty1982 great news! I'm pleased for you 💕

Hopeful199 · 27/05/2022 16:39

Ahhh @ty1982 that is amazing news!!! So happy for you!

I have had a follow up for a new consultant after 3 failed rounds with good embryos and they are suggesting an ERA. Has anybody had one done? Anyone found anything that’s helped them….. it’s basically the same price as an FET but really hoping it might give me some answers?!

Hi everyone, just joining the party late. I had my transfer on the 18th (a 5DT of an early blastocyst - was still a morula on the morning of transfer day).
I caved and tested early on 6DPT and got a distinct but faint positive, I tested again on 7DPT and it had faded, by 8DPT it had gone altogether. My official test day is on Sunday which will be 11DPT. I can’t see how it’s going to turn into a positive in three days. I spent yesterday in bed crying all day.
I can’t believe the first positive pregnancy test I ever had disappeared after 2 days.
now I wonder if I just picked up the very last of the trigger injection which I had 13 days prior to getting the faint positive line.
urgh
emotional rollercoaster

@ty1982 that's great news!! so happy for you!!

@Hopeful199 we are on our third cycle (first was cancelled after 3 weeks of medication prep, second made it to transfer but unsuccessful). my clinic is suggesting that if we have the same complication and the transfer has to be cancelled, that we pivot to an ERA. I'm curious too; I don't think it's 100% supported in the research.. have you read about it at all?

CatherineB31 · 27/05/2022 23:42

@Girlanon so sorry for you. that happened to us as well after an IUI. I believe it was a chemical pregnancy (I had already long tested out my trigger) and some other symptoms suggested that. it's devestating.

Hopeful199 · 28/05/2022 06:59

@CatherineB31 I was looking it up yesterday after we talked. HFEA rate it as red in terms of clinical proof that it makes a difference but other articles suggest it can help identify if there is anything else going on that may be stopping implantation. I guess I don’t really know what the alternative would be. Seems crazy to just keep putting them in on the same protocol when so far that has failed each time.
she said it can help look at three things; silent infection, improved transfer window timing and microbial environment which can make it inhospitable. I guess I’m just not sure what else to do and it feels like it might be worth a try?! If it comes back clear I just carry on as I was (which is stims again if the next one fails) but can rule all these issues out. It’s a tough one isn’t it??
She also suggested embryo testing but I am 40 and only have one in the freezer so she didn’t think that was worth it at this stage.

Girlanon · 28/05/2022 10:33

Morning ladies, how are you all feeling today?

CatherineB31 · 28/05/2022 18:18

@Hopeful199 agreed.. feels like it can't hurt, other than just taking the cycle that could've been a transfer. we're planning on it if this transfer gets cancelled due to fluid again, but hoping not of course.

Girlanon · 29/05/2022 12:07

Official test day today and a definite negative.

CatherineB31 · 29/05/2022 13:36

@Girlanon I'm so sorry. Did they give you any answers about the positive or anything? or was it only a beta today?

SarahC1985 · 29/05/2022 17:44

Hi all. Anyones cycles messed up after treatment? My period is late but all pregnancy tests negative. I really got my hopes up this month but I just think my cycle is all over the place from meds 😭

Girlanon · 29/05/2022 18:00

I was told to just do a pregnancy test at home and then call the clinic with the results. Their shut today so going to call them in the morning.
no sign of AF yet, is that unusual after a negative on test day? Someone told me that they only expect pregnant ladies to make it to test day without AF coming, which gave me some hope, but seems like it’d take a miracle to get a positive test after a negative 11 days after the 5 day transfer!!

ty1982 · 01/06/2022 11:23

Hi @Girlanon I never got my AF with failed cycles as I think the progesterone kept it at bay. Once I stopped my medication my AF arrived and was quite heavy. Hope you're ok thinking of you x

CatherineB31 · 01/06/2022 12:42

@Girlanon agreed.. after my failed transfer it took me 5 days to get AF once I went off the progesterone

CatherineB31 · 01/06/2022 12:43

@SarahC1985 yes I think depending on what medications you're taking, it can impact your cycle. One cycle I even took provera, a pill that helps bring on your period since it was so delayed from the meds.

Glitterandunicorns · 01/06/2022 12:54

@ty1982 that is amazing news! I'm so pleased for you!

@Girlanon I'm sorry. This process is so brutal isn't it, especially when you had that glimmer of hope for a moment. Flowers

Girlanon · 02/06/2022 11:18

Ok I need some advice please?! 🙏

…. Im just editing this post because I’ve had another faint line this morning… I started bleeding (spotting) a tiny bit last night - I thought my period was coming, but this morning there’s only a tiny spot of old brown blood, which suprised me. So once again, I did a pregnancy test and THERE IS A FAINT LINE.. ?? WTF?!

I got a positive test on day 6 and day 7. It was negative on day 8 and 11. I got a faint positive on day 12 and then nothing (unless you squinted and tilted like mad) on day 13.
yesterday, day 14 I started to get some spotting, but it was brown, old blood and it hasn’t developed into a period, so I once again did a test this morning (day 15) and there’s a faint line, it’s faint but clear! You don’t need to pick the test up or tilt it, you can see the line straight away.

WHAT IS HAPPENING?!?

SarahC1985 · 02/06/2022 12:00

Still no AF here. I'm CD31. I stopped taking my meds around 6 weeks ago so I don't understand why it would still be in my system? Still negative on all tests but nausea, food aversions and tiredness are persisting. Do you think I'll need provera? It's not that easy to get in contact with my clinic. I was going to wait until Monday and if nothing, contact them then. This is absolute torture 😭

CatherineB31 · 02/06/2022 12:15

I'm so sorry @SarahC1985 when this happened to me I took provera, and even went on a little vacation thinking it might help me relax. It still took me days AFTER finishing the provera to get a period. When you have that bad news of a negative and you just want to get on with a new cycle, it's like torture. Fortunately provera I think is pretty simple to get, at a local pharmacy vs specialty or mail away.

CatherineB31 · 02/06/2022 12:16

@Girlanon that is so stressful, I'm sorry you're dealing with all of this uncertainty. Have you had a blood test? Maybe that's the only way for a clear answer?
