Hey everyone.
So I’m just getting ready to start my second round of ICSI after suffering a MMC last Aug.
I have 2 more weeks of Norethisterone before I await the important bleed and then start my injections, yippee!

I was so chilled when I received my protocol and now I’m getting a little nervous as I know what’s to come. Unfortunately none of the embryos from our last round were high enough quality to freeze so we are starting from scratch. I’m preying for higher quality this time but I guess that’s out of our hands.

I wanted to start a thread as I know how helpful it was on my first round and it’s nice to know your not alone in what can seem like a very isolating process ❤️

thank you @Glitterandunicorns! @Girlwholifts that is so frustrating. As if it's not hard enough, now you're left wondering if it would've worked if only you had been told that. I've been very unhappy with my clinic as well but the clinic we were planning to transfer to is in Pennsylvania. Here in the US right now that really worries me with what's going on with reproductive rights and how that might impact embryos.

@CatherineB31 I'm sorry you've not been happy with your clinic. I didn't realise you were in the USA. It is terrifying watching what is happening there in terms of removing access to essential healthcare. The impact on assisted conception is scary too. It just beggars belief to me that there are people who think this is a good idea. Anyway, I know this isn't the place for political rants. I hope you're able to find a clinic to help you.

@Glitterandunicorns yes, thank you. It's a scary time and just one more thing to worry about when it comes to infertility and IVF.

@Glitterandunicorns glad you're testing negative and can hopefully get things in motion.

I've had a little bleed this morning and a few cramps nothing major and the blood is only small but still worrying me. Rang my clinic just now and someone is calling me back. Never had bleeding before so just so concerned it means I'm having a miscarriage.

@ty1982 oh no! I know how scary it is when that happens. I really hope they call you back soon.
I've had bleeding in pregnancies where it has been fine and where it has not been fine.

I found the worst thing about pregnancy bleeding is that this early, no-one can really give you an answer. It's prob too early for a scan to tell you anything. Last time this happened to me, they did blood tests a couple of days apart to check HCG levels. I found the wait awful.

I'm crossing my fingers really hard for you. X

@ty1982 hang in there.. a friend has been going through this recently after two miscarriages, having some bleeding in the third but has been okay this time. her clinic was less concerned if it was brown spotting vs more red. something to do with old blood or new.

@Hopeful199 @CatherineB31 @Glitterandunicorns thanks for the messages. So only had a little spotting this morning and some cramps. Which disappeared as the day went on, spoke with clinic and they said it could be pessaries or implantation etc. so not to worry unless it's like a period type of blood and severe cramps. So just have to wait until scan a week today!

@ty1982 that's good news, good luck! today we confirmed our transfer failed. wondering if anyone has had the "wtf" appointment and have any suggestions about what to ask? we have our follow up to discuss the failure monday.

@CatherineB31 Im so sorry to hear it failed. I have no words of wisdom I am afraid I always thought IVF was a formula. Turns out that I genuinely believe alot of it is down to luck

ibhave also had a another BFN a 9dp5dt 😕 I will of course test again on OTD but know that is me out and will be my third transfer that has failed. I wish there was a magic answer.

I am older though (just turned 40) so think a lot of my problem lies there. It’s a hard pill to swallow.

Horrendous day … had really bad period like bleeding and cramps.

Just been for a scan, but it’s hard to see what’s going on. No heartbeat yet but too early for that. But also does look behind on what they should be able to see. There is a sac and yolk but can't see Fetal pole but it's squashed against the wall so hard to tell.

So don’t think it’s looking that great. Another scan Friday to see if anything has changed 🥲

@CatherineB31 Sorry to hear of your BFN. Is your follow up appt today? We haven’t even got ours booked in yet. We have to wait for the consultants letter through the post with the cycle detail etc before we can book ours. The things we asked on our first cycle were - If we had another cycle what would be different? Are there any others tests that need doing before our next cycle? What are your thoughts on why it may not have been successful. Things like that (not sure if these help) I hope they offer you some answers.

@CatherineB31 I'm so sorry it's been confirmed. Tbh, I was in no fit state after my first cycle didn't work out to talk about it so i can't help with questions, but @Girlwholifts has given you some great suggestions.

I hope you're as ok as you can be at such a rubbish time. X

How is everyone? My scan is tomorrow and it can't come quick enough. Not sure if I've miscarried, I am going to miscarry or everything ok! Such a tough week with bleeding thy has got less all week x

My scan is 7 June which feels a lifetime away to be honest. Counting down!

Hi @ty1982 I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you. I really hope you get some good news.

I spoke to the hospital yesterday. I can't have my FET until mid July as they're fully booked when my next period is due in June :-(

I'm a bit disappointed as it feels like such a long time away. I suppose it will give me plenty of time for my body to make sure it's recovered after the ridiculously high oestrogen levels before my egg collection.

Hi can't believe I'm actually writing this but there's a heartbeat and everything is looking like it should. Unclear of why I've bled so much could have been from a second embryo trying to implant they are not sure. X
