Hey everyone.
So I’m just getting ready to start my second round of ICSI after suffering a MMC last Aug.
I have 2 more weeks of Norethisterone before I await the important bleed and then start my injections, yippee!

I was so chilled when I received my protocol and now I’m getting a little nervous as I know what’s to come. Unfortunately none of the embryos from our last round were high enough quality to freeze so we are starting from scratch. I’m preying for higher quality this time but I guess that’s out of our hands.

I wanted to start a thread as I know how helpful it was on my first round and it’s nice to know your not alone in what can seem like a very isolating process ❤️

@unCliche my beta blood test is 5/20. I know in my mind that it's early and could still turn positive, but having trouble not letting my emotions take over. thank you for the encouragement!

ty1982 · 16/05/2022 16:50

@CatherineB31 still very early I got a faint positive at 6dp5dt.

@unCliche yes it's private, it's a week early as they used to scan at 7 weeks so hoping we still get to see a heartbeat. Yes they should give you photos going on previous experience. I'm getting lots of headaches/migraines but then I do suffer from them a lot and mainly related to hormones! Also a few stabbing pains here and there. No more spotting thankfully

X

Sxd515 · 16/05/2022 17:02

@Girlwholifts thank you. I have spoken to him yes! How are you doing?

@unCliche thank you. I just had a call to confirm my beta was 110 which they're happy with. Got to call tomorrow to book in a scan etc. What a pain you had to repeatedly chase for the progesterone and hope it's all sorted now

@CatherineB31 it is early still so keeping everything crossed for you ❤️

CatherineB31 · 16/05/2022 17:04

Thank you @ty1982 and @Sxd515 !!

Girlwholifts · 16/05/2022 17:17

@Sxd515 I bet you can’t wait to see him. Glad to hear the beta went all ok and the numbers sound very good. Yeh all ok here thanks, shitting myself for testing tomorrow. I think I would have tested early but promised my husband I wouldn’t 😩
I haven’t really had any signs so prepared for the worst but still praying for good news.

Its so lovely to have so many positives on here 😍 makes you keep the faith that it does work.

@CatherineB31 you're not out of the running yet, plenty of time to see that line appear 💛

It was a negative for me this morning. I’m actually doing ok though, I thought I was going to be a mess but as I had convinced myself already that it hadn’t worked I didn’t expect any different.

As I haven’t had AF visit yet I'm still having to take my meds and test again in 3 days time.

Fingers crossed for all you ladies testing over the next couple of days ❤️

I'm so sorry@Girlwholifts, this process can be so unfair. I know you said you're feeling ok but if you feel like you need to, please do take time out to feel whatever it is you need to feel. I'm sorry again. Look after yourself my love 💕

@Sxd515 Congrats on your beta results! It must feel a little more real having it confirmed 😁 I hope your scan isn't too far away!

@CatherineB31 Not long to wait until OTD! Fingers crossed that you get the result you're hoping for!

@ty1982 Oh sorry about the migraines! Those can get really horrible and debilitating. Hopefully it doesn't continue for too long.

Sxd515 · 17/05/2022 11:13

@Girlwholifts I'm so sorry. This whole process is so difficult. Sending you lots of love xx

CatherineB31 · 17/05/2022 13:25

@Girlwholifts So sorry to hear. As much as you can try to prepare yourself, I know it still must be difficult. Will be thinking of you.

Glitterandunicorns · 18/05/2022 12:24

@Girlwholifts I'm so sorry. I know there are no words, but this process can just be so shit can't it. Flowers

ty1982 · 18/05/2022 18:20

@Girlwholifts so sorry to hear about your outcome but glad to hear you're doing ok. Thinking of you x

CatherineB31 · 18/05/2022 22:32

still testing negative at 7 days post 5 day transfer. thinking we're out, but beta isn't for another 2 days. feeling pretty devastated.

ty1982 · 19/05/2022 07:09

@CatherineB31 how is everything with you? Any more news? I'm just counting the days until my scan now. Took a test yesterday just to see those lines

Hopeful199 · 19/05/2022 10:50

@Girlwholifts I am so sorry about the BFN 😞Are you still taking the meds?

I am due to test this weekend but trying to pluck up the courage to do it as convinced it hasn't worked again..... i somehow feel more positive in blind ignorance and pumping in the drugs...... sad but true!

Glad all still looks good for you @ty1982 - Everything is crossed for your imminent scan x

CatherineB31 · 19/05/2022 10:58

@ty1982 negative.. just waiting on blood test tomorrow to confirm this transfer failed

ty1982 · 19/05/2022 10:59

@CatherineB31 so sorry to hear it's negative. Thinking of you. @Hopeful199 you are doing so well not testing. Good luck with your OTD.

Hopeful199 · 19/05/2022 11:31

@ty1982 it is purely because I cant face the BFN :( I was sure it had worked last time but it hadn't and this transfer was bumpy to say the least so not holding out much help

I am out for dinner with a pregnant friend tomorrow so going to hold off until after i have seen her so I can have dinner in the hope zone! ha!

ty1982 · 19/05/2022 11:37

@Hopeful199 enjoy being PUPO, enjoy your dinner and don't give up hope you're not out until OTD. Take care

Girlwholifts · 19/05/2022 16:50

Thank you @ty1982 @Sxd515 @Glitterandunicorns @CatherineB31 @unCliche for your kind words ❤️

I’m surprisingly doing ok I actually feel weird that I am ok 🥴 My husband bless him has handled it way worse than me, he is the ultimate positive person and believed it was our time. I think because I pretty much convinced myself it hadn’t worked quite early on, I’ve already had my time to get my head around it and cried ALOT in the 2WW.

@Hopeful199 great think about testing after you see your friend, it’s hard at the best of times let alone at this stage!
So my clinic asked me to stay on my meds until tomorrow when I test again but I tested this morning and there isn’t even the faintest line so I stopped meds today.
Im not going to lie I just want AF to arrive now so I can think about our next cycle.
Don't give up hope though, I know I did but I had many reasons too. You are not out until the test tells you ❤️ I have everything crossed for you.

So after a long discussion today, we’ve decided to change clinics. After a really in-depth call from head of embryology at our clinic about our embryo grades etc he said that it would be a good idea to have some DNA/PGT-A tests done before our next cycle. Apparently this should have been suggested before we started this cycle, great to know now! Anyway, too many little issues that have added up so a change would be refreshing. Fingers crossed it could be third time lucky for us🤞🏼

Looking forward to some more positive tests and also scan updates 💛

@CatherineB31 I'm so sorry. It's such a brutal process that to get a negative seems so unfair. I'm thinking of you. Flowers

Glitterandunicorns · 19/05/2022 21:48

@Hopeful199 I'm crossing my fingers for you. I hope you have a lovely time with your friend.

@Girlwholifts that sounds like a change of clinic will do you good. How frustrating that they didn't recommend the additional testing prior to you starting this cycle. I really hope a change does you good.

No update here really. I'll be speaking to my clinic tomorrow to find out what the next steps are for arranging my FET. I'm finally testing Covid negative but I'm absolutely shattered constantly. I was like this the last time I had it though; I was only just starting to feel like I was getting my energy levels back to normal again when I got it again this time (there was only three months in between my two bouts of Covid).

That's making it really hard to ascertain which symptoms may be related to OHSS and which are just the Covid, but I'm pretty sure it's all just the stupid Covid! I'm sure they'll want to do blood tests to confirm hormone levels anyway just to be sure.
