Anyone out there currently going through IVF, start my stims in a couple of days. Had my down reg scan today and I have 4 follicles on my left and 5 on my right, wasn't sure if this was good or not, I've just turned 40 as this is my first cycle.

@Pinklady81 I’ll prob end up with a lot of eggs but I’m having nightmares about none of them fertilising or none making it to day 5 to freeze. I just want to fast forward 2 weeks til this is all over

Off to do second injection now. Feeling more confident than I did this morning so 🤞

@Pinklady81 It’s so easy to go down a rabbit hole on the internet and making comparisons but please just think this journey, is completely unique to you and your body. We all go through the same process but the results will always differ somewhat!

@LT103 You’ll be a pro in no time with the injections! Are you doing it in the stomach or thigh?

Can I join in? Its my first cycle of IVF for unexplained infertility. I'm on day 2 of stimms! Have been waiting to start for what seems like forever. Got my first scan booked for Friday - following your conversations along with interest and I'm wishing us all the luck in the world!

My partner is doing my injections for me as I cannot cope with injecting myself! So far not as bad as I imagined!

@flowersinmay Welcome! I found the stimming went quite fast in the end so hopefully it's the same for you.
Let's us know how your scan goes on Friday. Remember you'll only be on day 6 so don't be disappointed if they don't see much 😊 xx

Just had a call from the clinic, they have managed to freeze one other embryo for us! Mixed emotions as I was hoping the other two would make it but they wasn’t great quality. Let’s hope this one I have inside makes itself comfortable and sticks around!

@Elle147 that's still two frozen embryos though, that's really really good! But I completely understand, when you here that there is a possibility of more it's hard not to get your hopes up. I really hope your one sticks xx

Btw it's sounding so similar to us. I've just had the call - the transfer is happening today! We have two top quality blastocysts today which I'm chuffed about. We have another one which is showing early blastocysts signs but isn't looking 'as pretty', and two more that are looking great quality that they are hoping will reach blastocyst stage tomorrow. So like your I'm hoping for the best result but it might not happen.
Overall I'm really happy though as I know I definitely have at least one spare that will be frozen.

@Emmyanddreams Ah, best of luck with the transfer! It’s an absolute breeze compared to EC! Quite emotional too :) We will be testing at a very similar time then! X

Hello hope I can hop on! This is my first cycle of IVF I'm 32 doing ICSI due to MFI, currently on short protocol on day 4 of stims. hoping to talk to others who are at similar stages to me! Xx

@SparkyLauz whoooo we are almost the same! I'm on day 3 today so just behind you I've got about 9 days of stimming in total (depending on how my body reacts). So far I'm feeling surprisingly ok - how about you? Sending best wishes and luck your way too! 🍀

@flowersinmay hey! Just realised I'm on day 5 not 4! I've just literally injected number 5 as we speak. I'm surprisingly feeling OK at the moment, touch wood no symptoms/side affects as of yet.... How are you feeling? Starting on 2 jabs as of tomorrow, then I have a day 8 scan on Friday to see how it's all looking.. if all OK it may be egg collection Monday or Tuesday of next week. Its crazy I've waited so long for this to start and now it's all happening and it's seems a fairly quick process! Xx

I’ve had such strange cramping today! Period type cramps but almost in my back! I’m currently in bed relaxing after the busiest day at work - thankfully I know these two weeks will fly by as I don’t get a minute to myself in the day!

@Emmyanddreams How did your transfer go today?

I’m having a nightmare with my Utrogestan pessaries. 3 x 200mg daily and the ‘mess’ is ridiculous and sure it’s causing me some thrush! I’ll have to ring the clinic tomorrow it’s becoming so uncomfortable 😣

@Elle147 It went fine thanks, uncomfortable but it's over so quickly.

Oh no, that doesn't sound nice 😔 I'm on Utrogestan too but finding them ok. Perhaps they could switch you over to cyclogest as you can use these rectally x

@Emmyanddreams I’m on those too, 200 x 3 times a day - are you the same? It’s a nightmare with work, I’m on my feet all day everyday so I don’t think that helps! I’ll probably give them a ring today and see what they say!

@Elle147 Yeah I'm on the same ones. The afternoon one is a right pain. Are you using pads or anything? I think it absorbs really quickly so it's just the shell that melts which is all messy. Cyclogest would be much easier for you I think as it's only twice a day, defo give them a call.

Hey hope everyone is doing well. Day 3 of stims today and I have a morning off. Injections going ok apart from one where the needle seemed blunt and wouldn’t go through!!!
Apart from that all fine. Just a bit stressed and felt a bit sick yesterday but ok today so far. No real bloating or anything yet

@SparkyLauz I'm feeling generally good but a bit tired - last night I didn't sleep well, think it was the thought of egg collection keeping me awake! Hope your scan goes ok!

Does everyone do their own injections? I can't really face it and have to get my partner to do them for me! Can't believe I'm only on day 4! I feel like i have so many more injections ahead of me argh!

@Elle147 really glad you can keep busy in the next two weeks - best to keep distracted isn't it. Those pessaries sound horrendous, not looking forward to it at all!

@Emmyanddreams Yeah using pads, they are a must aren’t they! The joys! I’ve got some really uncomfortable cramping this morning all in my left side. Worst thing is nobody at work knows so I’ve just got to try and carry on like I’m not an uncomfortable mess 😂 How are you feeling?

@flowersinmay I did all my own, only because there’s no way I could trust my husband with them haha! He’s not very good with needles. First time he seem one he grimaced, not helpful! 😂

@flowersinmay I found during stimming I struggled sleeping. Overthinking all the time!

@Elle147 It's so hard when nobody knows. We've kept it really quiet. My parents know as we needed someone on hand to look after our little one during the egg collection but haven't told anyone else. I feel like it's too much pressure if lots of people know. Stupid I know.
I feeling fine at the moment. Already feeling impatient though 😂
