Anyone out there currently going through IVF, start my stims in a couple of days. Had my down reg scan today and I have 4 follicles on my left and 5 on my right, wasn't sure if this was good or not, I've just turned 40 as this is my first cycle.

@flowersinmay 11 that's fabulous, I'm so glad it all went well for you, at least with ICSI you know the best sperm are being used, take it easy and get some rest.

I had the call this morning and they weren't ready for transfer today 😔😬, two are early blasts and they hope they will be good for transfer tomorrow. Typically Ive googled day 6 transfers and the info isn't very reassuring. I believe that it will be better to freeze and implant on day 5 on my next cycle for the best odds but they are the experts and will transfer tomorrow. There is a third one still in Morula stage, I'm just grateful to have made it this far at 40. It's just another day of waiting for the phone call and trying not to over think things 😔, keep me posted on your next steps, good luck with it all x

Hi guys hope everyone is good @flowersinmay good luck hope your transfer went well, I've not posted in a while I'm flat out with work but my phone had stopped notifying me when people post so I actually thought no one was chatting not just me hahaha! Can someone shed any light here I think I've asked before but I can't seen to get my brain around it. So after a failed cycle I had a withdrawal bleed on 20th so should I expect my next period 20th may? That makes sense in my head but I had a little bleed 11 days after withdraw slightly heavier than spotting but not like a period if that makes sense so that's made me question it? Hope that makes sense! Thanks ☺️

@Colourfulliving did you do your transfer today? I'm really sorry to hear they weren't ready yesterday😕, really hope you could go ahead today instead? Try and stay away from google it literally has the worst info on it, it's so tempting to google everything isn't it? wishing you the very best, really hope we have some more positive news on this little group! Such a rollercoaster it's so so hard to keep positive sometimes but we must!

@Luluspies really sorry but I have no experience with this, but hope you can find some answers - have you asked the clinic? It's really hard to be patient going through this process! Half the time hoping your period shows and the other half of the time hoping it doesn't!

No updates from me today! Just keeping my fingers crossed for positive news tomorrow about how many embryos are developing 🤞

@flowersinmay I had my two early blasts transferred today on day 6, staying positive and hopeful and it's all down the nature now, a chance is a chance 💖, wishing you good news tomorrow 🤞x

@flowersinmay wow so they transferred two? How would u feel if they both stuck? I would love twins!

@Colourfulliving heeey I'm doing good thanks - clinic updated me yesterday that I have 9 embryos, they didn't go into further details on the grades/quality though... so I'm assuming they're all ok...They won't give me any more updates over the weekend. They told me to come in Monday morning at 7.30am for my transfer! So feeling hopeful that the numbers won't drop off too dramatically and if the first transfer isn't successful then hopefully I will still have another shot or two. My boobs feel horrendously sore at the moment though - and these pessaries aren't much fun but in general I can't really complain. Lucky to have not had much pain since EC. More importantly though how are you?! Hope you're keeping busy and looking after yourself!

Fingers crossed for you @flowersinmay hope all your embryos do well when I had my eggs out I felt all funny like I wanted to be near the embryos! I think if they would let ya I would of sat there watching them 🤣🤣

I’m good thank you, 12 weeks now! It has flown by. Had a rough couple of weeks with sickness and exhaustion but hoping I’m on the mend now! So sorry I haven’t been in touch much, I stopped receiving any notifications for the thread for some reason!

@Elle147 oh I'm really happy for you (not for the sickness bit obvs!), I really can't believe how the time has flown! Do you think you'll find out the gender or keep it a surprise? Wishing you the very best!💜

@flowersinmay I think we will find out, just for ourselves though!

It’s strange, I’m at the point where I could share our news now but I’ve only told a small handful of people and I’m happy to keep it that way I think!

How are you feeling ahead of your transfer? X

@Elle147 aww lovely, yes that's what I would do too, only tell a handful of people. Are you feeling quite relaxed with the pregnancy? Have you started to make any plans or is it still a bit early? I am looking forward to transfer but also at the same time I'm nervous I will get my hopes up and it won't work, and if it does work I think I won't relax until the baby is actually in my arms, maybe that sounds weird but just with everything I've been through on this "fertility journey" I just think I am a bit more hesitant and skeptical.

No plans, just taking each day as it comes! Our house is in the last stages of some renovations at the moment so soon as that’s done I’m sure I’ll be buying bits and getting sorted gradually :)

I completely understand, it’s so overwhelming. So easy for people to say ‘stay relaxed’ etc. but when you have been through years of wanting this that’s really hard! I’m still not 100% relaxed, I worry about every pain / new sensation I have.

I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you, let me know how it goes xxx

I'm doing well thanks. 12 weeks now! I have my dating scan this week, I'll actually be 13 weeks at that point.
I'm hoping after that scan I'll feel more relaxed even though I had a scan at 11 weeks and all was well. But like you I think I probably won't feel totally relaxed until baby is in my arms.

@Elle147 have you had you scan yet or have it booked? xx

@Emmyanddreams Hey, my scan is booked for Thursday. Had a private scan last week and all was well, baby was hiding though so not a very clear picture! Lying with arms above head, typical! Great heartbeat though and did see lots of movement so it reassured me!

I’m just really struggling with sickness again, I threw everything back up that I ate yesterday. Heading into work soon and just hoping I get through the day without throwing up! X

It went well thank you for asking, in and out of the clinic in about 20 mins. I still don't quite believe the embryo is actually in there and I kept thinking - are they sure it's definitely ours and not mixed up? Silly thing to think as I'm sure they have all sorts of procedures in place. They told me I've still got four to freeze so if this one doesn't work out I'm hoping I can try again soon with another one. They said two embryos are good quality and two are average but she didn't give the grades of them. Maybe it's best not to know too much anyway.

@Emmyanddreams I'm glad to hear you're doing ok! Best of luck with your scan! Keep us updated please 😊 will you find out the gender when you can?

@flowersinmay aww I'm glad it all went well with your transfer, good luck with the 2WW, keep yourself busy and it will fly by.

I've had a rather difficult week as I started spotting late on day 3 after the transfer, which turned to bleeding Monday and has been all day today. It's not heavy, just steady and light, I can only hope it's implantation bleed and wait to test at the weekend 😔, trying to stay positive but it's difficult when it feels like this is my period.

Did you take a couple of days off to take it easy this week x

I took the first day during transfer off - came home and slept 3 hours! And I've been working from home yesterday but back to the office today. Urgh.
