@Bluebonnet3 I am so sorry, lovely. Sending lots of strength and virtual hugs.

I hope everyone else is doing ok. Not much happening on my end yet. Another week or so to go before I can start my FET cycle.

TheDutchess3 · 12/10/2021 21:11

@Bluebonnet3, I'm so sorry!

@ngy21, I had my covid vaccines during the treatment. I kept putting it off but could never plan it properly as was doing FET in a natural cycle and my cycle is never the same amount of days. And I also did not want to wait too much with the vaccination. So I had my 2nd covid jab scheduled for 2 days before the transfer, and the official clinic guidance was to have 3 days in between. I asked the clinic and the doctor advised to reschedule for a couple of days after the transfer. I rescheduled it for the official testing day where I had my BFP. The test line was becoming stronger for several days before that, but the next day after the shot it got weaker and eventually I had a biochemical. I treat it as a coincidence but of course still think what if I didn't have the shot that day...

I am also getting my yearly flue shot.

SerendipitySunshine · 13/10/2021 11:42

Sending lots of love @Bluebonnet3

ngy21 · 14/10/2021 11:56

@Bluebonnet3 i'm so sorry...! i can't even begin to imagine how you are feeling and what you are going through. Sending lots of hugs and know that we are here to support in whatever way we can.

@beachbum85 i am good very relieved, but still nervous for the viability scan. there is a lot of what ifs in my head! like what if it's not where it suppose to be.... just under 2 weeks to go!

Regarding vaccine, thinking to get it once i past the 12 week mark...

Hope you're scan went well today! Keep us posted :)

@TheDutchess3 i agree! you would keep thinking what if since there isn't as much research as we'd like for this vaccine, thanks for sharing your story! I think i would consider the vaccine once i hit 12 weeks but will see what doc/GP says!

@Lifa My only BFP ever was an early chemical, nad I can't help but feeling thats the closest I'm ever going to get with this. Just keep thinking even if I did manage to get pregnant at this point with 1 in 4 pregnancies ending in misscarriage or stillbirth, there are still so many odds it wouldn't progress anyway. Its great your last round has been successful and IVF has worked for you

@beachbum85 Yeah private clinic. They've capitlised on the long NHS waiting lists by taking on far too many patients, and its clear they are overwhelmed. I can't help but feeling that they don't think we're worth putting time and energy into any more after so many BFNs. I know its not logical, but it feels that way. We've got 3 last frosties to try, but 2 are poor quality, so final 2 will be a double transfer. Feel a bit like I'm just going through the motions at this stage to be honest so we can draw a line under this whole process.

Lifa · 14/10/2021 13:22

@mumslife it's so draining isn't it :( I honestly felt the exact same, prior to this cycle I went all out and researched about every medication you can have for IVF, Prednisone kept on coming up on various forums as the wonder drug that had helped people get pregnant with years of IVF failed attempts and Clexane to keep the blood thin to stop clots, I asked my clinic to be prescribed Clexane and Prednisone on top of prognova, Lubion, Asprin and cyclogest....the clinic were hesitant to start with but agreed as I kept going on and about what I had read etc.... .....maybe it was ment to be this time or the additional medication helped I honestly don't know ....don't give up it will happen....xx

Lifa · 15/10/2021 08:54

Happy Friday ladies 😉 hope you all have a well deserved restful weekend and quality time with your other halfs 😘 xx

beachbum85 · 17/10/2021 19:59

Thanks @Lifa! Easy weekend here :) how have you been? did you have another scan on Friday? xx

@2mumlife that is even more frustrating from a private clinic!! Is there any chance of moving to a different clinic that might be quicker and, most importantly, be a bit more motivating? The odds are never in our favour, really, but so many women manage after many rounds and it seems so random that I believe you just can't say how it will go. Sending you strength and lots of patience xx

@ngy21 every scan is quite nerve-wrecking! Let the countdown begin and try not to worry in the meantime :)
My scan on Thurs went well - very quick and hardly got to see anything but all is progressing well and we've been discharged from the clinic!! My GP was not at all helpful and shut me off with a 'thanks for informing us about your pregnancy', so I have self-referred to a hospital and hope to hear back soon about the 12w scan...

@Novavee good luck for this exciting week! xx

@TheDutchess3 I'm so sorry about your chemical :(

ngy21 · 18/10/2021 10:55

@Lifa hope you had a good weekend!

@beachbum85 agree! i just don't think it's real yet until you see it on screen especially when symptoms are on and off. Good to hear your scan went well on Thurs and you have been discharged from the clinic! Congratulations! But a bit crappy they weren't too helpful..!

Just over a week to go before my first scan, very excited!

@2mumsandason hope you have been well! Is your scan this week??

@Novavee good luck this week on your FET cycle! Keep us updated :)

Good morning ladies 🌞 @beachbum85 glad to hear your scan went well, what a shame your GP wasn't helpful :( I am not due for a scan until 5th November which will be my 12 week scan, as the hematoma was healing ok they didn't think another scan was needed until then
@ngy21 thank you I had a chilled weekend, not long until your 1st scan exciting times

Have a great week everyone 🙂 xx

2mumsandason · 18/10/2021 14:48

Hi @ngy21, sorry I haven't been on here much over the past week - my sister got married at the weekend so everything has been a bit crazy! But it has been a good way to pass the time in the lead up to the scan which is on Friday 😬 getting nervous now...did another pregnancy test last week and was all fine, but think I might do another one today as well 🙈

How are you coping? xx

ngy21 · 20/10/2021 10:20

@Lifa yep not long now! Nerves have calmed for now but i think i will be mega nervous leading up to the scan day... i keep telling myself there is nothing much i can do and just hope and wait everything is ok!

@2mumsandason no worries! you had some nice celebration distractions which is always good :) I did do another pregnancy test over the weekend and all good there too lol! I might do same as you and do another one closer to time just to reassure before the scan.

I am well nervous tho! Lots of what ifs...

Good luck and keep us posted for your scan on Friday! I wonder if you will then be referred to normal GP after that?

OP posts:
2mumsandason · 21/10/2021 20:28

@ngy21 I believe that if everything is ok (fingers crossed!) then they will discharge me back to my GP. Starting to feel a bit nervous/panicky about tomorrow now 😬

What day is your scan?

Lifa · 21/10/2021 20:42

@2mumsandason good luck for tomorrow I am sure a Will be ok....i have everything crossed for you 😘 xx

ngy21 · 21/10/2021 21:05

@2mumsandason good luck for your scan tomorrow!! 🥳🥳

My scan is next Tuesday, very nervous!

Have you been advised to stay on Utrogestan until 8 weeks? I'm gonna double check with them on Tuesday at the scan as I remember one of the nurses said to take it for another 6 weeks after a positive test at least. But when I spoke to the nurse who arranged my scan for Tuesday, she said only need to take them up to 8th week of pregnancy

OP posts:
2mumsandason · 21/10/2021 21:12

Thanks @Lifa and @ngy21 Tuesday will come along before you know it!

I'm not on Utrogestan, I'm just on progesterone. I'm not actually sure how long I stay on it for...in my head I have 12 weeks for some reason, but that might be completely wrong! Hopefully things will be a bit clearer tomorrow 😊

Lifa · 21/10/2021 21:47

@ngy21 I was down regulated and had a FET, I am on prognova and cyclogest until I am 12 week xx

beachbum85 · 22/10/2021 09:59

@2mumsandason good luck for your today! I'm sure it will be fine... enjoy it and let us know :)

@ngy21 I'm on Cyclogest till wk10and they told me at the scan when they discharged me, so you should find out on Tuesday. Apart from the nerves, how are you feeling? Mindful IVF have a pack for the first trimester that really helps calm me down when I need... not sure you're into those sort of meditations...

@Lifa I'm so glad to hear that the hematoma is healing well and you don't need weekly scans! Are you back to normal, or have they told you to keep resting and take it easy? Either way, I hope you're having a good week :)

I have been struggling a bit with pretty bad nausea whilst I'm in a virtual workshop all week, but overall all seems to be normal :)
Still haven't heard back from the hospital though, so I don't know when my next scan will be.

@Novavee have you started your FET cycle? xx

ngy21 · 22/10/2021 10:13

@2mumsandason good luck for today!

@Lifa thank you! it seems everyone is taking progesterone up till at least 10 weeks, i will deffo have to double check with them on Tuesday

@beachbum85 yes hopefully will find out Tuesday, i actually have enough pessaries until week 9 so tempted to just keep it up until then. Feeling ok these few weeks, only occasional pain in the upper abdomen now and not too much bloating. i've started to go back to the gym for swimming and cycling now! Hope the nausea isn't causing you too much problems, i heard eating little and often helps... i havent got nausea (yet!) but i do find myself feeling extremely hungry suddenly and super picky with what i want to eat, but eating little and often is really helping! lol

I am going to look into Mindful IVF! thanks for the recommendation

Are you planning to chase up the hospital for your scan?

OP posts:
Lifa · 22/10/2021 10:55

@beachbum85 I hope you are keeping well... I had a scan yesterday as discharged back to the NHS .
all is looking good and baby has sprouted arms and legs, they could still see where the hemotoma was so not 100% healed but healing nicely.....still having to rest however not on 100% bed rest which is great, my next scan Will be my 12 week scan which is 5th November xx

Lifa · 22/10/2021 10:57

Happy Friday ladies 😘 the temperature has definitely changed eeekkk!!! Have a lovely weekend and wrap up warm xx

Novavee · 22/10/2021 17:25

Hi everyone,

It's great reading your news and following this next step of your journeys. I can't wait to join you!

@2mumsandason I hope everything went well today.

@beachbum85 My body decided not to cooperate. I am on cycle day 31, still not extremely late for me but a bit frustrating. It was probably too much to ask for a regular cycle after all the ivf drugs. I do feel AF is near, It's just refusing to make an appearance. I guess it's the price I have to pay for a natural FET. It will happen when it happens and there is nothing I can do about it (unless anyone knows any tricks to induce a period, in which case please share!).

I hope you all have a great weekend!

2mumsandason · 22/10/2021 18:35

Hi guys, my viability scan went really well today! Everything is how it should be - size is good and a nice strong heartbeat 🥰 we are so relieved!! We have been discharged back to GP/midwife now so will wait to hear on next appointment!

Lifa · 22/10/2021 18:53

@2mumsandason amazing news so pleased for you xx
