Hi all! Our last thread is full so thought i'd create a new one!

The first clearblue weeks indicator test I did was blank too @ngy21 - really panicked me! I wonder if they are often faulty?

ngy21 · 08/10/2021 19:59

@beachbum85 I'm feeling more normal now! Used to the bloat/possible weight gain (since I've not been gym as much now!) no need for pain killers anymore. And yea same I think I need to eat little and often now! I only get light headed from time to time but I think it's the shift in balance of hormones.

Good luck for your scan tomorrow! So very exciting! I'm sure your dreams are from over thinking and it's normal for us to this like this, hard not to worry after all we had to go down a harder route to get here! Keep us posted with your scan ☺️

@SerendipitySunshine I think they have a faulty batch! It was annoying as when I refers to the manual it does not say "it could be faulty" but it says "you did not follow instructions correctly". That really annoyed me as I had done their normal digital one and it was fine!

I think I will use the other one over the weekend or early next week. Hopefully will get my 3+ as I will be over 5 weeks!

Hope you're doing well☺️

And everyone else, happy weekend!

@Lifa that's excellent news!! Sorry to hear you're still on bed rest, but it all sounds so positive, congrats!!

@SerendipitySunshine how are you getting on? xx

2mumsandason · 09/10/2021 09:20

@beachbum85 amazing news so pleased for you 😊 xx

SerendipitySunshine · 09/10/2021 17:20

Congratulations @beachbum85 - was this your seven week scan?

TheDutchess3 · 09/10/2021 18:00

Lots of good news on this thread! Congratulations everyone with a BFP! xxx

ngy21 · 09/10/2021 19:57

@beachbum85 such great news! It must be so surreal to see that little heartbeat! Not long until your other scan now 😊 will this be the one where you will graduate from the clinic?

OP posts:
beachbum85 · 09/10/2021 23:36

Thank you!!

@SerendipitySunshine yep, 7w! we have an 8w scan with our clinic on Thurs but my partner is not allowed in, so we booked a private one today so we could go together first time.

@ngy21 it's so surreal, especially knowing how tiny it is! Our clinic doesn't give us much info so I'm not really sure when we'll graduate onto normal NHS services, but I guess they'll tell us on Thurs?

Hope everyone is doing well and having a lovely weekend xx

ngy21 · 11/10/2021 10:14

Happy Monday everyone!

@beachbum85 How exciting! Good luck for Thursday!
I finally did my second CB digital this morning and got my 3+!
Keep us updated on your scan on Thursday :)

Hope everyone else is doing well

Is everyone getting their flu vaccinations soon as well? I am waiting to see what the clinic / NHS says.

Same with COVID vaccine... i haven't had mine yet and now thinking maybe i should

@beachbum85 Been away last week. Clinic have been silent for over a week after signing consent forms. Honestly I think we are going to be left waiting for another damn month. I'm fed up of fertility treatment, its shit.

MollyVanDer · 12/10/2021 08:25

@ngy21 I've not had my flu vaccine. I was going to get it next week way before my second cycle. I've had Covid vaccine because our NHS clinic advised we should before treatment. Hope that helps x

Lifa · 12/10/2021 10:16

@ngy21 I haven't had my flu jab as yet however will definitely be having it, I have already had both of my covid jabs and will have my booster if I can 🙂
@2mumlife hope you are ok ...IVF can definitely challenge you ....keep strong you have got this 😘 xx

2mumlife · 12/10/2021 13:02

@Lifa Thanks. After nearly 2 years of this, I'm just getting to the point where I'm done with it all to be honest, and wondering why I'm bothering fighting my clinic for treatment when I feel its unlikely to work anyway.

Lifa · 12/10/2021 13:12

@2mumlife totally understand where you are coming from, this last round of IVF was our last round and thank fully it was successful 🙂 our journey was over 2 years we had a chemical pregnancy to start with and last year I fell pregnant naturally however the pregnancy ended at 17 weeks....it took me a year to get myself mentally ready and prepared to go through the process and red tape time scales again....these forums have been a life saver to me and made me realise I was the only one going through this and feeling like this .....it doesn't change what you are going through but definitely supports you though it ....reach out to us on here and we will support you xx

ngy21 · 12/10/2021 13:19

@2mumlife so sorry you are feeling down right now, and i know it's easy to lose hope. I really hope you don't! Like @Lifa said these forums are such great support. If you need to rant or anything we are all here to listen and support!

@MollyVanDer oh i had no idea some clinics require you to be vaccinated before treatment! thanks for letting me know!

@Lifa yea i am thinking to get my vaccine as it seems the risk is higher to be without it. Seems everyone is more open about getting it done during pregnancy now so i'm slowly leaning towards it lol

Bluebonnet3 · 12/10/2021 14:22

Bad news, I'm afraid.

Today's scan 8+5 measured too small at 7+5 and no heartbeat. Scan 2 weeks ago was 2 days small but with a heartbeat. I think they suspected then that it might not continue.

Clinic told me to get a scan from my nearest Early Pregnancy Assessment Unit to confirm mmc and do any treatment needed - and to ask for chromasomal testing. Clinic said if the EPAU doesn't offer the testing then i should bring the sample to my private clinic asap and they'll do the testing. They did say either a dry sample pot or one with saline was ok but NOT with formaldehyde for the test to be possible. (Reminds me a friend has had several mc and the last one she was supposed to get a sample for testing but her hospital f*ed up and used the formaldehyde and so the test wasn't possible.)

Looks like I need a referral from my GP as this is not an emergency. I'm Supposed to continue the progesterone until then. (While i was still keeping it together) I asked when I could try ivf again and clinic said 6-8 weeks after this is resolved would be earliest. Ugh, what a shit day.

Lifa · 12/10/2021 14:38

@Bluebonnet3 so sorry to hear this..... sending lots of love and hugs xx

beachbum85 · 12/10/2021 17:58

@Bluebonnet3 I'm so, so sorry... that is truly heartbreaking :(
The whole testing and treatment, and waiting for the referral too, sounds like a quite the ordeal on top of the emotional strain as well...
Sending you lots of love. I hope you have the support you need but we're here too if you need us xx

beachbum85 · 12/10/2021 18:02

@2mumlife I'm sorry you're struggling with your clinic as well - the fertility treatment is shit, and the waiting even more so, in my opinion. Is this a private clinic?
Sending you lots of strength to hang in there! If I remember correctly, you have a few frosties and you recently had a chemical so, as terrible as they must have been, I believe there's a good reason to have hope that one of them will work.
At the same time, if you need some time away from all this, that's OK too xx

beachbum85 · 12/10/2021 18:05

@ngy21 exciting news on your 3+, I'm sorry happy for you! Are you feeling relieved? How are you doing??
I took both my COVID doses between our first and second IVF cycles, but the clinic made it clear that the vaccine would be beneficial at any time, including during treatment or pregnancy. Hadn't thought of the flu jab yet, but I'll put it on my list of things to ask the GP once the IVF clinic hopefully sends us back to the GP.
