IVF September/October 2021 cycle

Hi

I am just starting a new thread in case anyone else is falling into the September/October timings...I have been in other threads which have been so so supportive and a bit of a godsend really, but I'm a bit behind where everyone is up to.

I had a failed cycle in June unfortunately and didn't respond as they expected. Then was supposed to start again in august but unfortunately they saw a cyst on one of my ovaries so have delayed the next cycle to September (I think my stims will fall into October as they'll put me on norithisterone).

@Coops0406 not exactly she said they could be from my last cycle so who knows 🤷🏼‍♀️. Yes hopefully they will be confident on Friday if it's good to go still as I dont want to just risk it as it's my last NHS fresh cycle.

@Reefy I had a big one from my last cycle so this one got delayed a month. That big one went in a month and the baseline scan was so much better the next month. I wish they did the baseline scans on my only nhs cycle but definitely you want to make sure the ovaries look good to ensure you get the best out of your cycle.

Far from what we were expecting! Had my McDonald's fries (and a Big Mac!) and going to spend the rest of the evening on the sofa!

That will be my first stop after & also people say after ET too so il be having 2 stops for chips 😂.

Just had the call, all 17 eggs were mature and 8 have fertilised!! Can't believe it! They will check on the others tomorrow to see if any change but think it's too late for them to fertilise now. In complete shock again! Next update is Saturday 😊

@Coops0406 wow that's amazing! Did you say you were doing a freeze all cycle?

@Reefy I know, I feel like it's not real! They have agreed to do a fresh transfer on Monday then test the others and freeze (if there are more than 1).
I feel okay today, a few odd twinges but nothing much 😊

Has AF come? Have you got your scan in the morning?

Yes AF arrived this morning & scan is tomorrow morning so see what they say! I'm trying to not think about it & go with what they say as they know best & I want to give it the best chance so if they advise to wait then I know really that's the best thing.

Had scan this morning & they said there is a small cyst on my left ovary but they think it's all part of my cycle as it's collapsing & they can see some follicles both sides so are happy for me to start stims tonight!

@Reefy fantastic news! So pleased for you! How was your first injection? When do you have your first scan on stims?

We have heard the 7 embryos are good quality and 1 is average so all good news today 😊 they hope all 8 can make it to day 5 🤞🏾

@Coops0406 yes I struggled to get it in first time so moved somewhere above (I have a lot of scar tissue so don't know if that makes a difference 😂)

@Reefy thank you! 3 good ones today, 1 transferred and the other two biopsied and frozen. The others are at early blastocyst stage at the moment so they will check later and tomorrow to see if they get to the right stage to be biopsied and frozen. Just in the queue for McDonald's! 🥰

Yes all good thank you. Scan on Wednesday so see how they are all doing.

Our last 3 made it to good blastocysts and have been biopsied and frozen today! 😍

Hi sorry late to this chat! I started at beginning of Sept. Pregnancy test this morning was negative which is not great, but we froze 5 embryos so will discuss options with doctor soon.

Thank you both. Yes my 1st ivf cycle so its been a very big learning curve so far and I guess more learning to come!
I had heavy bleeding 10days after my embryo transfer so i had a feeling before I took the test this morning that it wasn't meant to be this time.
Will be told when the appt is tomorrow

@pkp11 yes it is & it's physically & emotionally hard too. I had a failed cycle in august so this is my second cycle. We always hold of for that little bit of hope.

They say scan is looking as it should do so start my fyremedal injection tonight! Next scan is Friday so will be good to see the growth on them.

@Reefy that's great news! Congrats and fingers crossed for next week. Is this a brand new cycle you've started? I didn't have to take that injection, what's it for?
